I have been talking with some people on VC about ZDC, and one of the main points was that SMGs and AKs were dominant in the ZDC meta. To better benefit the snipers, and to create a more varied playstyle, I will propose a new unit for the ZDC enemies: the Mortar
Unit type: The Mortar will fall into a category I call the "Concussion" enemies. Enemies that attack with range with low damage, but they knock you around and disorient you. Examples of Concussion enemies include the Witch from both last year and current ZBR, the Orc from last ZBR, and some can consider the kamikaze skeletons to be a melee concussion hybrid.
What it will do: The Mortar will rain rockets onto the player from far away. The rocket trail will be visible leaving the Mortar, so it is obvious where the Mortar is, but it will be far enough away that AK rifles are ineffective, or very difficult to use.
Now, this will be difficult to execute without it being too forcing of a use of snipers. I think only a few Mortars should exist at a time, making it so that it is inconveniencing, but not too annoying to the point where Snipers are required. And, you should be able to hide under buildings to bypass the mortar entirely.
