Have the game itself make jokes when you get a kill with anything.
If you get a kill, subtitles will appear above your healthbar. Different weapons will result in different quotes. Some examples are:
Minigun: She weighs 150 kilo-oops, wrong game.

one is simply saying you lost to your opponent, while the other is openingly being negative for using a weapon or just playing the game
That's like a sport coach makes fun of how one of their player plays based on their moves and performance, it's a negative psychological thing that will make the directed person feel less willingly to want to participate.
