I don't think burst fire mode is actually useful. I also don't think anyone uses it for actual proper battle. I feel like there could be a gun that's specifically designed to be used with burst fire, such as a FAMAS or AUG (they don't have to be bullpups). It could do decent damage (damage similar to the LMG, devs could make it more or less depending on how much fire rate there is), have a fast burst rate (with other guns, burst mode is the same rate as the normal auto mode, making it practically useless), but also not so fast that it becomes OP. But if that doesn't work and it does end up being too OP, then make a delay between each burst you can fire, preferably 0.5 seconds (again, you can alter it depending on everything else). I know 0.5 seconds doesn't sound like a lot, but in heated combat, it can make a big difference. If you miss your first burst at close to medium range, then you have a mid-high chance of being killed. It would have a decent damage dropoff, but not too much of a dropoff, as the burst fire itself makes it hard to use at long range. It could use the same sights as the AR. Is this a good suggestion?

in real life, burst fire have faster RPM. e.g. AN94 Abakan have 1800 rpm in burst but 600 rpm normal
in my use, AR in 3 shot burst i used it to long range counter snipers
