forge jar is "corrupted"

hi! just bought a new minecraft server and i cant get it to start running. any ideas on what I should do?

you selected the preinstall that said "requires setup" did you acutally do the setup?

additionally, saying that you had the same issue does not help at all. If you also need help with the same issue, wait to see if there is a solution posted, or open your own topic instead of tagging along

i fixed it by getting mohoist

that's not a fix. Mohoist is a hybrid server, not forge

you'll run into issue down the line if you use mohist instead of forge

i'm not sure how to do the setup, are there any resources to help with that,
