Server Crashing On Boot

My server was running Spigot on 1.20.1, but recently I decided to switch it to PaperMC for the performance improvements. It's a cross-play server and for reasons I'd like to keep it on 1.20.1.

In the JAR/Preinstall menu, Paper does not have a 1.20.1 version available, so I decided to download one from the site (https://papermc.io/downloads/all) and upload it directly through the file manager. I deleted the old spigot.jar file and uploaded paper-1.20.1-196.jar in the same location, and I changed the "server type" setting to match the new filename. But now the server crashes when starting up. Did I miss a step?

PaperMC? It says spongepowered in the crash report

Do you have any plugins installed that might be made for spongepowered?

I don't know what spongepowered is but this is what plugins I am running

maybe try to check your file manager see if there arent any other files with a .jar (possibly spongepowered) that would be interfering with your paper jar

how did you check your plugins if your server doesnt boot?

I switched back to spigot for the time being

I had removed all the other .jar files on the root directory before I added the papermc one

Paper uses sponge API for its config files

try deleting your /config/ directory and restarting with paper as that error is a config erorr
