You might be able to do that with the /fill command
Idk how exactly though so you'll need to search for it

World edit! You can install the world edit plugin and there's a /removenear command, you can say /removenear 100 (blocks in all directions) dirt
or
Vanilla Minecraft /fill command
/fill ~-10 ~-10 ~-10 ~10 ~10 ~10 air replace dirt
That would replace all dirt 10 blocks in all directions with air
