@thick stone, you just advanced to level 2 !
I need to fix this really quick
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with connecting to your Minecraft server. There could be a few reasons why Java is unable to connect while Bedrock is working fine. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
-
Double-check your server settings: Make sure that the server IP and port are correctly set in the server.properties file. The default port for Java Edition is 25565.
-
Check your firewall settings: Ensure that your firewall is not blocking the Java Edition connection. You may need to add an exception for the Java executable or the Minecraft server port.
-
Verify your Java installation: Make sure you have the latest version of Java installed on your computer. You can download it from the official Java website.
-
Restart your router: Sometimes, network issues can cause connectivity problems. Try restarting your router to see if it resolves the issue.
-
Test with a different Java client: If possible, try connecting to your server using a different Java client, such as another computer or a different Minecraft account. This will help determine if the issue is specific to your computer or account.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to our support team by opening a ticket using the /ticket command. They will be able to assist you further in troubleshooting and resolving the problem.
In server properties the port is 25575 but in ip it's 25587
rcon port is 25575
Query port is 25587 in server properties
Ok so thats the issue
The server.properties port need to be ur ip port
Server port is already 25587
Rcon is something else
you said here
that your server.properties port is not the port in ur ip
That was a misunderstanding
oh
The port is correct
Do I enter the ip there
It says server is down
But it isn't
The problem is that Java can connect with the ip but not with the domain. Bedrock can connect with the domain tho
ok so it can't connect
uh
did you put an srv record on ur domain
Yes
ss pleas
it seems like you might have a problem with ur srv record
this explains how bedrock can get thru
What exactly is the problem here
cuz bedrock doesn't read srv records
hard to tell

I did follow the steps on the website article
Lemme check the video real quick then I'll @ mention you here
I've do e exactly the same as in the video
@thick stone, you just advanced to level 3 !
Done*
But it's not yet 24 hours of doing it so is it what is causing the issue to Java?
shouldn't be. Did you ask staff? what did they say
They said I should ask it in this community support forum
well ur domain setup looks fine
i'm not sure at this point
I guess I'll wait for it to complete 24h Or else I'll just have to arrange some money for dedicated port
What if I use the domain pebble host provides me
Will that work fine for both platforms
it should
got fixed
