Go to your settings, you probably have inbound voice chat disabled which also prevents you from sending outbound voice data.

It is like that by default due to some online safety settings.

Nope, you need inbound enabled to use outbound.

I confirmed that about a week ago.

In the settings for Steam, you should be able to configure the input and output settings for voice chat.

Just use common sense and check your settings. See if it is open microphone, see if the device is set to the right one, etc.

Set it to the device you want to be safe.

Have you used Soundpad in the past?

Or a similar program that plays audio through your microphone input?

Sometimes those mess up your drivers. If so, go through the uninstall process for that program, restart your computer, and then try.

I'd also try the in-game voice chat after simply messing with the Steam settings.

You can press 'Start Microphone Test' to see if your recording device is even functioning.

cus me and some otheers just randomly got this crap

thats played a server called "NYLEX"

during some event

and after joining tommorow it our vc didnt work

but it doesnt work in other games aswell

i mean servers

but like its starange

i fixed it by updating drivers do it aswell

I was with vc in them yesterday and we went over everything, I honestly am not sure what's going on anymore. The one thing I can say now is that; player got muted throughout Nylex's auction. We have a plugin that can make it so muted players can't speak and I believe there's a functionality to make it so they can't even hear anyone.

It would make sense if they weren't able to hear anyone on LifeRP, you could say a plugin malfunction right? But the issue comes with the fact they can't hear anyone on any other server since that day. Is a plugin able to mess with someone's game this much?

And I would have brushed it off if it was just one player, but we have two players having the exact same issue. We even went and reset everything to defaults, started deleting all sorts of files and then re-downloaded them, I'm honestly not sure how to help anymore. I even got Umakevic to download full clean installation of their nvidia drivers, did not help either.

-ram swap (in this economy?)
-unplugging and plugging in the system SSDs
