Hello all! I decided to try myself at modeling Objects/Buildings for Map use for the first time and I've ran into some issues.

  1. The UV Mapping/Texturing is weird, as you can see in the pictures I'm posting below it doesn't look right at all. This happens in unity and in-game, but not in the program I used to UV-Map the model. For Modeling and UV-Mapping/texturing I'm using some unconventional programs, mainly Autodesk Fusion for the Modeling and Blockbench for the UV-Mapping/texturing. I don't know if it's one of these programs screwing with it or if it's unity, but it appears to line up with the Geometry Edges so maybe it's got something to do with the geometry or whatever this is called again?

  2. The Slots/windows, doors, etc aren't working properly. In one of the images under you can see in unity where these are placed, they're put on the Logic layer and tag. What's very odd about this one is that it works, for about 1/3rd of the window, but not the rest of it or the door or garage gate... How can I fix this?

The 'preview' branch of Unturned is using Unity version 2021.3.29f1.

believe the texture is just a program issue, could you send the textures and things like that

about the lots, perhaps the prefab is offseted? in unity try setting both Object and Slot prefab to 0,0,0 and rotation of -90,0,0 and see of they line up

Okay fixed it

just had to delete the prefab from the final folder that gets used by the bundle tool and reinsert it

Now I can see if I fixed the doors

Uh after checking and re-seating the position of the snap-slots for the windows and doors it is now worse

there is now nowhere for that window to go

Just checking, what components are the Slots supposed to use?

Okay I got it to work just as good as it did on the previous model now with the windows

I named the prefab Slot instead of Slots lol

I remade the entire unity file and all the prefabs and stuff since that first version and I'm still having that exact same issue, and it looks like the window part is about the same size as well where it allows me to place it

Imma write you down a few tips so these issues don’t happen next time

  1. Use Unity 2021.3.29f1
  2. Create your OWN materials, do NOT use the ones included in the FBX
  3. Assign the Standard Decalable shader to your
    Materials
  4. Assign all models to LOD groups
  5. for slots refer to the following text and images

Like, don't the arrows just show which axis is X, Y and Z? How would I "Move" the axis to make the arrows set

You have set your alignment to center and not pivot

cus I took the simple solution of just scrapping the entire prefab i set up and stealing one to change from one of the bundled assets in the unity package
