I have reinstalled unturned, the workshop item, and everything. I have unsubcribed, left the game, and came back with the server automatically reinstalling the map. My friend did the same thing but they got it to work, Still does not work. What else can i do?

You need to close unturned and immediately when closing, Buak should immediately update within closing the game.

Worst case if this doesnt work, then I would run a repair installation on Unturned itself.
But before doing this, you can also try unsubscribing then resubscribing to the map, Buak

Alright, fair-ish.
In his case he said he unsubbed to the map and allowed the server to install it. So the step of simply resubbing didn't happen.
Workshop updates sometimes take a long while to get out aswell, so it wouldn't be surprising if it just happens to work in a few hours or even about now. It might be worth a try changing the download region, but I'm not sure if workshop files follow that same setting.

it was weird though because my friends were able to do it but not me which tells me it must be on my side
they were able to just redownload the map
