What happens?
Is the terrain still there?
What happens if you save then instead?
The terrain erases entirely
let me double check
Restart the game completely after loading it as well
Okay what happens when you save now? @heavy bough
the terrain is gone
it's only the sky
is there a fix for it?
No it turns to water
it only happens when I save and join back. the objects are still there but it just doesn't seem to load the terrain back in
it deletes it entirely
checked online and there is nothing showing regarding this problem. i'm certain there's an easy fix for it but i'm still waiting on an answer
You followed this guide?
How can I import a heightmap into my unturned map? Well, watch the video and find out you silly goose :D

Pro tips :
-If you mess up your heightmap, you ...
watched it at least 37 times
Yeah I have watched it but it doesn't tell me anything besides starting a new map that hasn't been opened before, and I did that.
Maybe because unturned creates some new files now
Perhaps try deleting uuh well some landscape files
I can try, but I need to find out if the files are okay to delete
so interestingly enough, I found a file that says this
with just a number one in the file
oh I think that's for materials
What value does it have inside it before you hit the save button?
If its 1
Change it to 0
Or maybe just delete the file
i deleted it
an interesting thing just happened
so I deleted the terrain files besides the heightmap and even though the ground is white and there are no materials, the terrain stays after saving
found a breakthrough, seems like only the stock terrain file causes the Heightmap to disappear. i'm going to copy and paste a terrain file from another map
My theory is that it has to do with materials
more specifically the Materials.dat file
Got it, so it has to do with the materials you're using on the map, I used California materials previously and I didn't have the Materials.dat files for it previously
now California isn't showing up on my maps list, let me try and start it up on singleplayer so it loads the files into my maps folder
