this may be due to the fact that the animal is not whole, in the sense that it is not one object.

Does this happen when they are killed or just when they take damage?
when I kill.
At first I used those character joint settings that are indicated for animal examples, then I made my own where I removed the possibility of rotation and nothing changed.
did you join the bones together using the character joint?

I have all the bones attached to the skeleton, not to the parent bone.
