In Subnautica, there is a very rare issue where all entities—such as creatures and objects—suddenly disappear, and the game becomes unable to save (the save process never finishes). In some cases, this is said to be caused by specific mods, but could ‘moving across the map at extremely high speeds’ also be a possible cause?

I ask because I frequently use the Echelon, which excels at high-speed travel, and I’ve noticed that I tend to encounter this bug more often while piloting it. I’ve heard that in Unity-based games, moving through the map too quickly can cause loading to fall behind, potentially leading to serious issues.

Could traveling at speeds higher than what the game was originally designed for—such as with the Echelon—place undesirable strain on the game and trigger this kind of behavior?

Are you using my lilypad mod?

considering there is a command fastswim that allows you to move across the map faster than any vehicle, vanilla or modded, to my knowledge, I'd say that's probably not your issue

Send your log so we can determine whether it might be a mod causing it

Your BepInEx log file can be found in Subnautica/BepInEx or SubnauticaZero/BepInEx depending on the game you're trying to mod. Once you've found the log file, you can just drag it into Discord to send it.
