Bro imagine being an ironman as well

Goodluck on spending a decade for getting your boat upgrades 👍

While we have clanmates over here doing only frost dragons on their account getting the below image in 2 months of time, I agree the rates should be higher.

It will drop prices and make them more affordable for the average main account holder while providing a little relief for the ironmen out there who don't want to spend 2 months at frost dragons for boat upgrades.

Adding a little variety in where dragon nails/sheets drop, should be coming (hopefully) as they add more aspects to sailing.

I've also seen the suggestion to allow melting down of the nails to reform into sheets floating around, this would be cool too.

Personally, this is my drops so far as I've just recently delved into the Frost Dragon aspect.

I feel the clanmate's drops above are a crazy amount of frost dragons to kill for a boat upgrade.

(Bones or unshown drops are toggled off as I don't collect them.)

I was getting about 120 kills and hr, using sunfire top and bottom, oathplate helm, rancour, lance, b ring, avernic def and aranea boots, infernal cape.

#

about 600 of these kills were on task thats why I have a little more sheets than the avg i think.

yeah, with this I was able to upgrade to rosewood hull for my skiff and sloop, added a dragon cannon i got from veil krakens. and still have about 100 nails left over, now is just sheets for keel on my cb/trawling boat, a second cannon and possibly dragon hooks if i get them currently dry for 1

#

I will probably just passively get them while grinding imbued heart

The nails specifically should be much more common.

I am fine with things like full components like the hook and cannon barrels being a rare drop. But having the basic materials being this rare seems a bit absurd to me.

Not fine to have almost every skill be a money sink or light years mission, construction is expensive and well you know how it is for irons, crafting is boring af skill for mains and irons, smithing horrible skill specially for irons, herblore expensive and boring skill for irons.

the drop rates are fine have 1800 nails and 76 sheets in 14k, kc\

If anything, they could keep the current drop rates but increase the quantity of nails per drop. I would think 15-60 per drop, depending on the source.

#

Like what are you supposed to do with like, 5 nails? Make a repair kit? If it dropped like more at a time would probably feel much better since getting 18 would be like "I have one of my salvaging hooks covered".

It would be one thing if these items were intended to be long-term BiS or if they came from actually meaningful content but this content is designed to be a long slog from menial content for no good reason.

#

No good reason I had to kill 3900 vampire krakens (killed pre-sailing combat buff) to get 4 bottled storms (unlucky) for what should just be a basic function of the teleport to boat spell (or at least skillcape), not something locked behind a 1/512 drop from bad combat that is nothing more than click once and wait (probably in a safespot). Frost dragons, dragon barrels, dragon hooks, etc. are all on the same vein.
