Would work the same as how private messaging works with your friends list, I don't see why it doesn't already work this way.

Why is this getting downvotes? also in the same vein, how do you downvote things?

Hmm why is not just leaving the chat good enough? I assume the main benefit here is ability to hide world while doing wildy content or something similar?

Sometimes I’m online afking, but not reading/responding to chats. I don’t want the clan to reference me or try to get my attention for me to ego them, I’d rather just not show them I’m online. I also don’t necessarily want to broadcast all my milestones, like if I’m trying a new boss and spamming PBs every few minutes

I also assume that button leaves clan, so I wouldn’t mind if they made what it does more clear. I don’t see why OPs suggestion couldn’t do the same.

Clarity for the button makes sense as it’s obviously somewhat ambiguous. As for the suggestion itself, that sounds a bit more resource heavy for easentially the same existing function.

I don’t know how spaghetti coded it is, but the behaviour should be the same between two similar elements.

If I know turning friends chat off hides my online status to friends, I should reasonably expect turning clan chat off in the same interface should do the same.

IMO there’s lots of improvements to be made to the clan system, this would be welcome convenience to many I’m sure

I think the clan-system is a bit more complex than the friendslist system. Also would this not be the exact same function as "leave" currently is?
