That sounds like auras in rs3 which is a pretty universally disliked concept, waiting for your cooldown every time you want to do a hard boss or some skilling activity. Also i would recommend to not use AI ifyou want your suggestions to be taken seriously

English is not my first language, so the idea is simply written out in a professional and understandable tone, rather than being an "AI Idea". Unfortunate you only see similarities to other game, rather than making our own, but ay - it won't please everyone. Just a concept for now Okayge

Fair enough, its just not possible to distinguish what is AI and what isnt and people generally prefer a genuine human suggestion even if the english is a bit wonky 👍

All the things stated above is entirely in my own words, just written a little cleaner.

I don't know anything about Rs3 - beside the very fact, that the games in its core is the same and very similar. So cutting out the idea, because there might be similaries to something in RS3, rather than think how we can make it old-school is what I don't understand scronglypirate

Again, its not because it is in RS3

#

Waiting for cooldowns to come up to do content you want to do is not fun gameplay, it doesnt matter which game

From what I heard of other players, there is several concepts in RS3, that was imported in to OSRS, but made "old-school" with the community feedback. Thats the idea I want to bring with this as well, and make something great with the community. Okayge

i feel like you arent responding to what im saying

#

ignore the entire rs3 thing. i dont think waiting for cooldowns is fun and i dont want to see it in osrs

No, you're not listening to what i'm saying. I see you mentioning the cooldown thing, but thats nothing definite, as i'm trying to explain. Thats the kind of thing we tweak. As example - the soul reaper axe. Hit 5 times, get full stack, unleash special. Similarities could be made to this

#

Core idea was mentioned. Multiple ways of "charging it" or consumption, or a whole 3rd option is possible. I provided 3 different meaning of "unleashing this". And it doesn't even have to be any of those 3.

#

It could also be a permanent unleash, but instead drains something - similar to prayers. Thats what the community could brainstorm to bring the concept to life. Rather than have another "bis weapon" added, which seem just pointless and boring at this point.

#

If the cooldown thing is what ruins it, then we simply remove that option, and think of another Okay

Well the SRA is pretty disliked for a reason too.

But assuming you find a way to make the activation of this transcendance not annoying or tedious, firstly i dont think it should work with any skilling activity, its a megarare from a raid and doesnt fit the skilling niche, it shouldnt be expected to farm/buy a 2b gp megarare to do optimal skilling.

Regarding combat, triple protection prayer is utterly broken imo. Acceleration is a minor and frankly boring dps increase, prayer save does basically nothing worthy of a megarare. Storing damage taken and releasing it sounds like a cool concept, i just wonder where you would actually ever use that. To me it seems extremely difficult to design an effect that is both cool and not utterly overpowered or useless and im not sure i would trust Jagex or the players to find an effect or even multiple effects like this

acceleration is a 50% damage increase for blowpipe

Thanks! This is the feedback I was looking for!
Like, it could also be an item, that gives an effect?
Also, the ideas for the transcensions were 5 minute ideas. You can literally make your own concept and add it to the list here. If you have suggestions, its the perfect time to list them. If those mentioned are to OP, then what else could we do? Something that brings the ascension idea to new heights. Do remember that even items like Shadow staff was giga DPS increase on certain places too etc, but can be tweaked to be worse at other places etc 🙂

#

I believe they also mentioned, that raids 4 would or could have impact on skilling, but they didnt make any definite ideas themselves, if I remember correctly

balmy lake
#

Yeah i mean that is my issue, i dont have any idea what a both cool and balanced ability could be like and thats really the first and main point that should be talked about

gloomy bay
#

Yee - thats why I hope the idea is not just dismissed immidiately, as mentioned in the note, but could be balanced around feedback and ideas given life on what could be ascended - which is a very normal concept in other MMORPG's

This doesn't have to be the megarare either btw - just part of the rewards

#

Or even a currency, that you get by doing the raid
so even "white light raids" is rewarding Hmm
Instead of getting more toadflaxs, uncut diamonds or cocunot milks...

If it's a comsumable that sounds even more like an absolutely-not from me, especially if it only comes from a raid. I already don't like the concept and it's even worse if you can't really farm the resource on its own. Lily of the sands already exists as an herblore secondary unique to ToA and it's pretty awful because you can't ever go of your way to specifically go for it on an ironman
