Just west of Edgeville, a crack in the earth surface opens up. Cockroaches have begun spilling out. Big ones! There might be something big and nasty making them down there. Do you have what it takes to fight your way down to her?

Face off against cockroach nymphs, workers, and soldiers through a good variety of rooms until up're ready to breach the chamber of the queen. The fight will be icky, but the rewards tailored towards F2P players will be worth it.

The rewards could include...

Roach Boots, level 30 tribrid footwear that gives +1 Strength, Ranged, and Magic.

Regal Roach Vestaments, level 30 magical armor for the F2P mages with slightly lower stats than Mystic robes. It also makes you look like a big roach with wings.

Roach Meat, disgusting meat that can be cooked at level 58 Cooking to restore 15 Hitpoints. Tastes better than it looks. Barely.

Roach Milk, an absolutely foul cooking ingredient you can ask the Head Chef in the Cooking Guild to churn into Roach Cheese for you. A slice from the wheel lowers stats, but restores 4-6 Prayer. Tasty!

And included is a rare 1/32k drop of the fabled...Rune Scimitar. F2P UIM playerd in shambles.

Let's see a decayed form of the Stronghold of Player Safety make a comeback as a raid introduction to F2P! Maybe. You're disgusting if you want Roach Milk, after all.

As usual, comment on thoughts for the stuff. You can now downvote this because I had the audacity to suggest giving F2P something again.

Or just outright add in the Dungeon without needing to do the fancy stuff.

i dont think a raid makes sense for f2p but they REALLY need to get some pvm. it would be so much easier to get people to buy membership if they get a real taste of what the games pvm is like

#

f2p getting some kind of scurrius type boss would be great. (i would say just port scurrius to f2p but honestly f2p gear is too weak for him to be fun, and his drops would be too OP)

Also solid thoughts. It's more of a rough draft to build on, so if y'all wanna make your own takes on it, I think the F2P community could use a bit more PvM fun. Reward potential is pretty good. Just don't forget your daily glass of Roach Milk. 😉

I think a big thing missing for me is anti-profit measures, because F2P has a more unique problem of "suicide botting".

As an example: "1/32k rune scim mould" that requires 3 rune bars to create would mean bots wouldn't go farm this, because it wouldn't generate any profit from new rune alchs.

Generally, I feel F2P content suggestions should overall be rewarding but unprofitable. This could be like how Chromium Ingots are unprofitable to make, or imagine if fight caves only gave Fire Cape but no Tokkul. So this roach raid could be fun, give new BIS boots, all without being worth doing for raw gp.

The biggest think here you failed to mention, is that this was in Runescape, called the Stronghold of Safety

#

if you somehow mentioned that, I must have missed it in the wall of text

I'm fine with the coming to old school, as long as we can make the creature or something more fantasy themed. Roaches felt ... generic

(once again, mentioning that this was 2008 RuneScape content)
