Can't log in with Jagex account on mobile client

I really hate to join a server just to ask for help but I'm really at my wit's end.

When I try to log in on mobile with my Jagex account, I enter all my credentials and authenticator code and then it gets stuck on the choose a character screen in an endless loop of loading and refreshing like in the attached screenshot. I can log in just fine anywhere else, it's specifically the mobile client I have trouble with.

I tried reinstalling the client, restarting the phone, using a different browser, a different network, anything I could think of but nothing's worked, so this is my last resort.

I'm on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 15C, running the latest Android version and the latest version of the client.

Try expanding to a full browser if it lets you instead of that in-app thing

Forgot to mention I tried that, it just gives me a prompt to come back to the app and then stops loading entirely

Have you went to the games location and cleared the cache?

Tried that just now, same exact outcome unfortunately

Have you tried logging into the OSRS website first on the browser and then using that same browser to select your character?

Mmm yeah I am signed in on the browser, same thing

Anyway you can open it in an incognito window when logging in?

I would try downloading all the available types of browsers and attempt to log in.

If you are consistently unable to do this it might be worth raising this as a bug, I'm using one of these Chinese smartphones and so far none of them have had this issue

Don't see a way to open it in Incognito unfortunately, and I tried 4 browsers, two of them, Firefox and Chrome have the problem as described above, DDG tells me I've been blocked after inputting my credentials and my phone's default browser doesn't let me past the authenticator screen.

And again, if I open any of them just on their own, not through the mobile client, the log in works just fine.

And should I really report it as a bug if I'm, to my knowledge, the only person who has experienced this?

Yes you should, if other users on the same device have experienced a problem then it is a potentially a device issue, which can be looked into by the developers. I'm sorry we couldn't find a basic solution it may require the devs to investigate if it is a widespread issue

well alright, I guess I'll make a bug report, do I do it through here or is there some other way to raise stuff as bugs?
