#If a bronzeman mode was implemented how would you want it to be made?

Yeah this makes sense

#

I think it would be a fun game mode. I'm sure lots of people who want an ironman style Pvm progression without all the grinding for resources would love this

#

My main is a group ironman but if I were to ever make a second account I would do a bronze man if it became an official game mode.

Imo it should also Prohibit you from buying potions you dont have the level to make or arrows etc

the inherit problem with official bronzeman mode would be the ease at which you can boost your account with items through pvp ruining the integrity of the gamemode by default

#

maybe if they restricted pvp unlocks to bronzeman only, but it would still create a market place the way unranked group ironman have their market place for items

Aside - outside of the PvP stuff I also don't really see the appeal of bronzeman mode. Like, not having to do nearly as many chores, especially late game buying potions etc for PvM seems quite nice.. but you really still wanted to sign up for getting 4x of one unique while going 3x dry on another

#

And making every production skill buyable again seems like a big drawback in prestige / satisfaction.. I dislike looking at wiki XP/gp guides to figure out eg what potions or craftsbles I should be making. Something closer to this sounds more appealing:

  • I can buy finished food & potions which I have the level to make
  • I can buy boss drops if I have enough KC (dry protection & duplicate collection)

also I think that buyable skills is fine. No need for there to be any prestige behind bronzeman

Basing it off Collection log makes sense to me:
Call it "collector mode".
Can't unlock clog slots with PvP so you can't cheat like some bronzeman.

#

Might be a bit of dev work though, because right now you get the item and then the log slot.

I think the only way I could see bronzeman working as an official gamemode would be

  • make it so items can be obtained from pvp, but not used, unless you have the level to make it or already have it in your clog
  • allow players to convert mains into bronze accounts, with their banked items following the same rules as pvp acquired items
  • same hiscores as mains
#

I advocate for the main into bronzeman conversion largely so existing bronzeman accounts can just become official bronzeman accounts

nah converting a main into bronzeman is bad

#

because you could have done a bunch of stuff you couldn't have done otherwise before converting. its the same reason you can go from a main to an iron

For me it would sit between ironman and main accounts.

Once you got the item once the ironman way, it is unlocked and you can trade or buy it like a main.

This would exclude items from pvp as this would make it impossible to be an official gamemode (think of how many people would simply trade on a forum and then suicide to transfer that item to the bronzeman, instead of respect for your gear, people would assume you bought it in an unsavory way).

# slate hornet I advocate for the main into bronzeman conversion largely so existing bronzeman ...

I feel like this would be near impossible to do, would require manual checks etc.

Nah, just like the first ironman accounts before the gamemode never got turned into official accounts, I would not agree with allowing mains to convert to bronzeman.

I would however agree to allow ironmen to become bronzeman, but it would only check what is in your bank and every item you have received since the introduction (unless it's a clog)
