When this happened in the past they did have an announcement on their website, so they have done it before. I am not sure on what basis they do that but I guess if it gets bad enough where they are flooded with tickets they have in the past made a notice to let players know

Just to summarize for anyone still following this thread. I received the email today after almost a month. Staff said that an email was sent on the 23rd although I never received it. I was sure to check all folders and spam.
