Inspired by https://old.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/1np9g11/there_should_be_a_scam_awareness_tutorial_npc/

Involves some mischievous NPC who tricks your character for a bunch of common scams.

  • 'wear these items for a play!'
  • 'discover this tool for us'
  • 'here is a tele tab. meet me at XX'
  • 'follow me into this dark dungeon!'
  • 'quick go grab those items!'
  • 'give me that currency and ill double it!'

And so forth. Basically a 'one small favour' but to progress you constantly have to fall victim to NPC scams. It can be a way to have a fun and easy quest that actually helps a bunch of players.

People would just do quest helper and click the blue arrow.
Quest should be lore in the game, not for teaching players not to be scammed by other players.

People dont read the stronghold of security questions if they can avoid it either, if its not fun people will just ignore

Teaching how an activity or a minigame works is VERY different from teaching players how to act around other players.

Just because quests are not part of a quest chain does not mean they dont provide lore. Quests in Varlamore made the area feel more alive at release. Witch's is also even part of a quest series and not a standalone quest
