I could not login via Jagex Launcher but it works frine from steam. I've tried the methods in the Jagex website and manually added Launcher to firewall, run as admin, sync date/time, reinstall, restart pc but none worked. Please help I just want to play the game. I removed my google authenticator as well and only use email.

Also I don't know if this is related but when I log in to account management and try to check Linked account/account status this message pops out

based on my experience, you can solved it 3 way

  1. change ISP (use mobile data if u use PC then connect USB tethering to ur phone, or change ur wifi ISP)

  2. login using gmail (only available on mobile, same logic as steam login)

  3. use VPN (remember, some VPN IP range still get banned, so trial and error is ur best friend, kinda sucks i know)

why it happens? cuz ur ISP got blacklisted by jagex, so ur IP range just got banned basically

why does it get banned? idk, at first i thought it was a 3rd world country problem, but people from UK, canada, some part of EMEA and SEA also had it, so its a world wide issue, some youtuber even ask jmod personally to fix it, but nothing they can do about it

if you want a theory on why, some people say its to prevent botting, cuz some bot usually use the IP range provided by their VPN, so tough luck if ur IP got caught in the crossfire

That's a very helpful answer, thank you. I'll try through mobila data tethering and VPN for start.

I couldn't understand well from the ISP part since I use the same internet on the same PC for steam but it is what it is I guess.

My account got hacked at some point and was used for botting so that could be another probable cause. (I upgraded to Jagex account after it happened but the damage had been done).
