so there's no actual precedence to support letting zanik's crossbow use rune in osrs

The post was made under the assumption that it would be a near 1-to-1 port from RS2 with matching rewards. If the OSRS version would be a tweak with increased difficulty then by all means

Zanik's crossbow does not need to be able to fire runite bolts, it could be adamant locked, same attack bonus as adamant, not even allowed to use gem bolts and it would still have an advantage through 4tick attack speed.
Crystal bow requires 70 ranged, same attack rate, 100 attack bonus 78 ranged strength, two-handed
Adamant crossbow is 78 attack bonus, basic addy bolts are 100 ranged strength

I loved chosen commander and the Zanik bow but I kinda feel like that one is a bit misplaced in OSRS rn.
As for the 46-61 gap you point out, to fix that I'd rather lower the rcb req to maybe 55 (right in the middle between addy and dragon, as 46-61-64 is a bit off), but even that I'm not sure how much I like.
