it can be frustrating to want to communicate to all members but at the end of the day you will always have those that don't want to engage and just lurk

Okay maybe i misunderstood the question. From what i read it's saying, you can broadcast an event that's happening soon.

You as a leader make a clan event, and broadcast that clan event

So it would be the same set up events system, which is just drop down menus no writing and then with this you'll be able to set a broadcast saying this event is happening

I guess we'll have to see how it pans out but i don't see it giving us a text box to write in. When we don't even have that option when creating an event.

I really don't see the problem. If you're in cc we can see what world you are in anyways? And if you have an issue with receiving correspondence from your clan leader. You shouldn't be in the clan anyways. It's important for leaders to be able to contact their members.

That gives the same vibe as "if you dont do anything criminal, you shouldnt care about being filmed constantly"
But yeh, my clan leader can pm me most of the time, cuz my dms are almost always "on".
but you most likely just have clan members who dont want to be in discord, and they will stay that way till you kick them and they have to find another discordless clan

But yeah I'm gonna make a list with who's left to join the discord and if I can't contact them sadly they will go. Just wish there was more options.

For example, when you join the clan, the leader is automatically added to your friends list and you can't remove them.

A broadcast message could be acceptable, but could also be abused. I feel like if people join a clan and just remain silent, they dont belong. They wont respond to any clan activities.

Well if clan leaders abuse the broadcast, would probably just make people leave the clan.

Why do people have issues with discord pings? Like if there's events and clan updates that you should be aware of?

I think the ping situation for me depends a lot on what kind of discord im on, sometimes i have to block pings from it. And getting pings alot is just annoying, if the pings keep on being about something that doesnt have relevance for you.
Sometimes my clan even has too many pings, it has both irons and non irons, and sometimes there is a lot of events in a row that I as an iron cant even be a part of, so getting 3 pings for an event per day is annoying, since i dont like having unread pings
