Guano is the accumulated excrement from seabirds, especially cormorants, and is an extremely effective fertilizer. If you've heard of guanine in DNA, that name comes from guano. It builds up on islands primarily found off of South and Central America, and has a pretty interesting history -- wars were fought over access to this mineral.

Anyway, I'm proposing adding guano islands with Sailing and a way to harvest it. This could either be the same as volcanic ash, just coming from a different skill, or somehow an upgrade. Gigacompost, imagine.

Maybe work in some Alry the Angler lore, where did he find his cormorant?

Hyper Compost. Created in the same way as Ultracompost, with one extra step. You add the guano after the volcanic ash.

If this was added, I think the Mining skill would be the most logical way to harvest it. That's how it is collected in real life.

maybe add a bat slayer monster that's unlockable at a certain sailing and slayer lvl, early-mid/game similar to between gargs/nechs

Getting it from mobs makes sense -- volcanic ash can be mined or dropped from various monsters, same would prob make sense here.

Saltpeter is another thing to compare it to, another irl fertilizer used the same way in game
