So a small simple QOL update that will make a big difference for us irons.

For those who don't know yew tree roots, make antidote+ and magic antidote++

So they are super useful, but tree runs are slow because you can be there for minutes at a time waiting for one tree to go down.(Grown trees aren't on timers)

No one wants farm runs to take any longer than needed, let's be honest here.

So my suggestion is simple, you pay the farmer nearby to CUT your tree but they leave the stump for you to dig up.

or a "harvest" action on the tree that sacrifices the valuable logs for more roots.

This would effectively drastically reduce the woodcutting level requirement to get access to said roots and there would also be no benefit anymore for having a higher woodcutting level to get the roots.

Perhaps not the most elegant solution/design🤔

  • Would significantly crash prices of roots for the main playerbase participating in an economy.

I would ask a moderator to please close this thread for being a 4th duplicate on same topic and refer those who are interested in this thread to go through the old threads and show their support there 🙂

O I see, you took a long break between creation of this thread and response to Swimzu's comment

Jagex already has a plan to make an alternate way of getting yew/magic roots.

The resource area in the wilderness will eventually be reworked. And it's
supposed to introduce several new skilling methods that produce high gp per hour.

One of them will be a special magic tree that gives you both logs and roots. This has been mentioned in the blogs a few times, but no idea when it will be implemented yet.

That's cool! I would actually use the resource area then.
