lol of course you can buy more bank space... that's just gonna delay the issue, not solve it. I also don't have much gold on my ironman, so having to repeatedly drop multiple millions on a handful of spaces is a very stupid investment.
Just put the banknotes in the inventory.

Bank space shouldn’t ever be an issue tbh, by the time you’re actually filling up slots you should have plenty of gold from cg etc to buy the first few sets… but really even as a maxed iron with only a few items from max gear, you never need more than the base unless you hoard everything. Make good use of stash units and poh storage, get rid of worthless things. I’m at 1k bank slots used but I have also looked in my bank and counted 200 items I don’t need to have in there if I needed to clean up.

This is, frankly, nonsense. "You should have plenty of gold from CG" -- My bank was full before I could ever even dream of entering prif and it's been an annoying balancing act ever since. My PoH has as many cosmetics as it can fit at my current con level (75), all of my potions are in potion storage, my seeds and saplings are all in the seed vault. The only alternative storage solution I'm not actively using is STASH units and that's just because I always check my bank for stuff I need for a clue scroll before going out to complete it and I know I'd inevitably forget about the random holes in the ground holding 3 items each. The vast majority of what's in my bank is stuff I will need to finish off the last quests I have to do, things I've harvested from farming or picked up while skilling and think maybe I could find a use for later, useful materials I have a plan to use in the future (logs, planks, herblore secondaries, runes, etc.), and collectibles from quests that I want to keep because they're unique and cool to have but have nowhere else to keep.

Brother idk what is clogging your bank but it definitely sounds like you have a hoarding issue
I don’t even use potion storage and I’ve never had a serious problem that wasn’t handled by just looking and getting rid of 50 slots I didn’t need, even before you could buy more bank space
