More delve rewards: Sol spear, guardian thrall, and more | Old School RuneScape | Page 1

Current delve rewards are good but don’t feel “wow” for an endgame boss grind, so here are some additional uniques that don’t push powercreep:

Sunlight spear
-same as in echo league
-cool looking, niche, and not op
Doom essence consumable

Resurrect guardian thrall: use 1 doom essence and runes for new thrall spell to summon a guardian thrall that does 1-3 damage and attacks with style the target is weak to

Thrall cosmetic reskin: use a lot of doom essence and your pet on some npc to make thrall look like pet

Other uniques suggested:

Heka
-bridge gap of Shadow

I really just want them to bring back thrall

if it costs an additonal inv space as well idk why they cant just make it roll 1-3

and I agree sunlight spear is definitely weak enough to be in maingame

it might feel decent here

they can just have both the currency to skip to wave 3 or watever and the doom essence consumable

this content has 0 issues with having to much rewards

saw a post about bringing the heka back to bridge the gap of the shadow which would be perfect here imo, sol spear should come from a colo expansion insteaf

Heka would be cool here too. They just need to balance the drop rate to not be like the harm orb grind.

I saw this and I didn’t think tying the gap-filling heka usage to this fits here.

Think about bowfa, bp, or non-Scythe melee options.

Zulrah and Gauntlet are easier grinds befitting the gap-filling weapons. Having to grind delve, where the design is to go endless delve 8, feels a bit much for heka

Fair but I don't think heka is just a gap filler, it also has niche uses in lots of places regardless so kills 2 birds with 1 stone, people will still want it with shadow. also as it's just a delve boss you can rush it pretty early on if you are skilled enough which I think is cool rather then going for the slow long slayer trident grind.

Yea, gap fillers (like bp) are still strong and have their place of use even with megarares. The question to me is how attainable and sustainable they are for a less skilled player.

Skilled players can skip a lot of grinds if they can rush infernal, colosseum, and raids (which is where Delve difficulty is supposed to be around).

You don't attack at 2t speed in main game. It's going to be a weak 2h 5t weapon that is 40 str less than nox hally. It kinda sucks but would be a fun flavor weapon.

It would be weaker than zombie axe with a defender.

And anything that's weak to stab, you would use fang on.

And that's a problem? That's the tradeoff for the weapon itself being bad.

It's being proposed as an endgame inferno level reward. It should do better than a zombie axe.

Make it grey with no spec when uncharged and regular when charged with sunfire splinters and bam there's your theme

And what's the problem with making new metas for mid level bosses? It should have a niche. Anyone bringing it to raids will be trolling with the 5t speed and shit stats. You're not going to stab verzik with it and deal no damage for 7 attacks just to do 60 when scythe is maxing 81.

It would be crazy good for small team nex though. That's the only place where it would be op because it would let you reliably skip half the fight, which people already do in mass worlds with veracs

It would also be really good at nylos in tob.

The tradeoff of needing to do 7 attacks at 5t is what makes sunlight spear spec balanced and interesting to figure out.

It came out already. Tldr, back to drawing board for delve, quest and slayer still getting polled
