Actually, I think the chest is slightly further than actually climbing up the stairs and using the bank

Assuming you're running from the courtyard from having died or using home TP then no, the basement is still closer I think

you can right click and choose 'up', im not aware of an option to go directly to the top 🔎

5 extra ticks or 3 seconds if running

As I said not that big of a deal.

Chest is just more convenient since less clicks
