Skill: Mining
Activity Name: Iced Cold Gold Mine
Attraction: Continuity/AFK
Risk/Reward: Gold Coins
Description:
Players pay 50k to enter a cavern at the frozen waste plateau with several mining "chambers" linked by a commmon center room.
While inside the mine, players are under a warmth meter, have a high chance of being rooted by cold damage, and can only see each other if they are in the same room of the mine.
While mining, players will mine Frozen coin stacks, which stack up to 3 per slot and can be broken into gold coins without interrupting mining.

Skill: Firemaking
Activity Name: Arson Burns
Attraction: Daily High XP Chunk
Risk/Reward: 250k "Borrowed" Arson kit
Description:
Several NPCs around the wilderness linger from the god wars that destroyed it.
To ensure their old enemies don't return, they hire players as mercenaries to set fire to one of their foe's areas.
A Nearby NPC will provide the equipment but "Players seem to not return" so 250k is required.
Players must traverse the wilderness without leaving and set fire to several sites and return with "burnt proof" to reclaim their deposit and receive xp."
Borrowed item is not protected, converted to 250k gold on drop.

Skill: Construction
Activity Name: Larren's Ship Repairs
Attraction: Low Intensity/Efficiency
Risk/Reward: Noted Planks
Description:
Players attempt repairs on larren's ship using their planks and paste as learned on the fishing trawler. They can un note planks as is done at the chaos altar.
This method grants triple the standard xp per plank(oak doors?), but only processes one plank at a time. While working, the waves will regularly hit them for 0 damage.

Skill: Runecrafting
Activity Name: Arcane cluster dissolution
Attraction: High cost, Low intensity, higher XP/Hr
Risk/Reward: Stacks of Runes
Description:
Players bind runes into arcane clusters using a lava pool inside the shortcut of the lava maze, and dissolve them in a pool inside the shortcut on lava dragon isle for xp.
Clusters can only be formed using runes a player can make. For example, an Arcane Cluster (Blood) Requires blood runes and all runes with a lower runecrafting level.
Clusters stack but are capped at a player's runecraft level.

Skill: Woodcutting
Activity: Deforesting
Attraction: Daily short burst of high xp, reward chunk
Risk/Reward: 250k "Borrowed" chainsaw
Description:
Players are asked to clear a corrupted forest. Woodcutting with the chainsaw automatically drops logs. If the player decides to extend their stay for a higher xp final reward, they can pick them up and "chip" the logs as well.
A Nearby NPC will provide the equipment but "Players seem to not return" so 250k is required. Borrowed item is not protected, converted to 250k gold on drop.

I like the ship repair and possible the woodcutting.

Mining is a maybe for me.
Not convinced on the rc and fm

Room for tweaks

Maybe swap mining area for the gold helmet mine. And change the gold ores for stackable nuggets exchanged for ores/gp.

And enable pking inside

RC is actually the most thought out activity to use the existing wilderness.

  • There's two lava pools with agility shortcuts that could connect them faster, but theres no reason to use them other than escape and access.
  • To balance a new BIS rc method, it had to be expensive and dangerous, so sinking runes was the route to go.
  • My first idea was a "lava altar", but that would only require one location to be accessed. To implement both lava areas, it had to be a 2-step process where one step is completed at each location. That's how I arrived at "Clustering" and then "Dissolving".

Not familiar with the gold helmet mine... Isn't that the quest spot right next to blast furnace?

Ya between a rock quest

No, but i liked your concept and it would be neat to put it in that mine. Since it doesnt get any use after quest

You said expensive. Did you mean risky with GP or actually expensive. As in do you expect to get out more or less rune value than you put in (at least for death/blood). Or is it purely just a way for fast dangerous XP.
Also if the cluster count is limited by RCing level, does that mena that a PKer can only pike up some of the loot if they are lower level. Or do the clusters break in some manner when the person dies. If it's a huge XP method and the clusters don't break/are tradable that means it could theoretically use runner (though wildy complicates the hell out of that kek ) Something to consider.

Expensive as in it becomes a buyable option rather than a purely collection skill. You buy runes (or make them) to bring them here and get xp for deleting them.

Risky as in you can lose the stack you've brought out.

The only thing you get from the activity is XP. It requires sacrificing runes, and getting nothing in return other than the experience and maybe a pet roll.

Clusters are a stack of untradeable "xp tokens" essentially. you discard a set amount of runes at one lava pool and receive your untradeable clusters. If you die in the transit to turn the "tokens" in, nobody gets the value from those. If you were 90 rc and bringing a stack of 1000 blood runes, and jagex decided 2 blood runes per cluster (Blood), you would have 820 blood runes and your stack of 90 clusters on the trip to turn it in for XP. (ignoring the significant amount of runes being dumped below blood)

trading would have to be countered by aggressive 0 dmg critters.

My vision for the xp rate is about double that of GOTR, fast, expensive, and dangerous.

Seems pretty well thought out. No on the pet roll though, no spending gp for pet rolls. Could be an interesting thing and I don't see it causing any significant issues. Wount do it myself because I want my blood runes but some people just want rc leveled as fast as possible.

I ment I want to make blood runes

Some numbers for "max cluster burning".
Not out of reach from "expensive buyable method" doubling GOTR in 90s+.

Iced Cold Gold Mine:
I like this, it just needs appropriate theming for how and why you're mining coins. My suggestion is that for lore and theming reasons, instead of gp, you're mining out a generic treasure item (like the valuables item from varlamore house thieving). The theming of this would be that someone's mined into the frozen treasure vault of Ghorrock Fortress, and they'll pay you gp for any treasures you manage to extract for them.

Arson Burns:
I think the proposed theming on this one is iffy especially as most of the places you pointed out aren't really tied to any specific god. Chaos altar hut and chaos temple are both zamorakian, and the dark warriors are implied to be zamorakian, but that's it. It also just doesn't seem too necessary as all the locations are either already hotspots, or at least already have something to do there.
Especially as you said this is a daily activity, I think I would rather see them port or add a modern version of the beacon network https://runescape.wiki/w/All_Fired_Up_(minigame) (released in august 2008, some of the beacons are in the wilderness).

Larran's Ship Repairs:
I'm not opposed, rather I like the idea, I just think that specifically repairing Larran's ship is a bit weird because Larran is very dead and in fact is currently a ghost, and I guess presumably the waves keep damaging the boat which is why we'd be able to keep continuously repairing it. The idea itself of wildy construction for more xp per resource is fine but I don't see what reason the player character would have to be repairing this boat

Arcane Cluster Dissolution:
I really like the idea of destroying runes for runecrafting xp but I don't think Jagex would make runecrafting essentially buyable, even if it was wilderness content. Maybe this is something they'd do with the true soul altar, like you'd craft soul runes same as other altars, but you'd have a way to then sacrifice the runes for extra rc xp.

Deforesting:
No opinions on this one 🤷

Could tie in Evil Trees to Deforesting, like you're asked to clear a corrupted forest to find an evil tree and cut it down, so you're cutting down trees until an evil tree spawns, and then you have to fight it
