#Bulk High Alch

Alching is already one of the most utilized money makers in the game (especially since it can be done while training other skills). It doesn't need to be faster
Your mis understanding the problem. Yeah the spell is perfectly balanced for the main game hence the idea of increased cost.
The purpose for this spell is for ironman, as currently we sell our alchs to shops and shopscape is bad.
Allow me to rephrase then
Coming from an ironman, no, this isn't necessary
I agree that shopscape is bad. This is not a good solution to that problem, this is a workaround that'll cause problems elsewhere
Interesting, I don't understand your perspective but all feedback is good. Would you be open to high alch working similar plank make or enchanting jewelry spells?
I could be convinced for autocasting, but to a limit- I don't think clicking twice and then waiting twenty minutes is good either
Yeah I agree, as much as I'd personally love to 25 min log high alch it would not be good for the game lol
What if the niche was you can't Autocast a bank note* or a stackable item?
even an option to autocast with a limit similar to making arrows would be incredible over spamming 5 on the numpad
So you want increased volume with a certainty of not making profit?
That'd be like a mass low alch
Mostly want to remove shopscape from the ironman meta. Currently if I need gp I go to rogues den and sell a minimum of 4 stacks at once 5 per stack. Now I do lose money compared to high alch as the shop price goes down. I'd like to be able to high alch instead with similar results. I was thinking the increased rune cost would be the way to balance it but I'm open to less gold output aswell. It would have to be close to current high alch price or shopscape will stay the meta.
Im open to other ideas/solutions as this so far has not been well received
Alternatively they could be no cons to a bulk high alch and just release it with a grandmaster quest or something, I'm just thinking the no cons could be bad for main game economy with alch bots but also I'm pretty clueless when it comes to the main game
I’ve never sold alchs to a shop on my iron and been completely fine forever
It might only be an end game problem still annoying to shopscape lol
The later I got in the game the less I felt the need to use shops idk what you mean there
It's the only shopscape I do now, so overall they have done a good job of creating alternatives, but after finishing agility ( 99 and pet ) it's been a struggle to find time to alch and with me being able to sell idk 10-50x more items in the same time it's to hard to justify alching
I'm open for other solutions if you have any ideas
I think a npc service is better than a spell for what you're asking.
Like they introduced an inefficient blood rune supply
You could do an inefficient bulk alch
There's dozens of wizard groups around the map that can be the site of a mage who will alch a bunch of stuff for a greedy cut.
i don't like that at all, as I can see it being used for stuff that currently isn't sold or alched and if the cut is too big, would not solve anything :/
I'd like to see a high level item you can put in your house to do this that requires high lvl construction, magic and smithing or something. Even with this you'll earn a fair less amount of money then normal high alchemy
what you should come up with is a formula for the cost/cut of this action, either by spell or by npc, along with how much/how frequent it can be executed.
If I happened to farm 20k red dhide bodies while going for 99 crafting, how fast could I dump that and how much gold would I get out of it?
Same for if I had 20 stacks of 20 rune items, what would the return look like?
imo they could do something that's golden-god like as varlamore diary reward. Like a sun spear that lets you alch continuously. make it cost two natures instead of one for hard, one at elite? Bots aint ever gonna do an elite diary.
There was also a NPC in rs2 after summer's end quest (rq Summoning, hence not in this game port) that had a rogue available after a miniquest that bought unenchanted jewellery for high alch value. Could be a decent reduction in shopscaping after crafting grinds.
Grum's Gold Exchange is located in Port Sarim and operated by Grum. The store sells many kinds of unenchanted jewellery, though it does not deal in dragonstone, onyx, or zenyte jewellery or bracelets. It is the only jewellery store in RuneScape that has an automatically closing door.
"Beware when selling jewellery in large quantities as the coins per item decrease rapidly."
the rogue from the quest just bought noted, unlimited at alch value
it was initially at min GE value but that was nerfed as it resulted in merch clans abusing it
so they changed it to high alch value instead
plus, that shop doesnt buy bracelets either
Yeah that’s not a good addition
"Bots won't do (blank)"
Yes, they will. If you make it worth their time, someone will make a script specifically to do (blank). Quest lines, diaries, whatever.
Would continuous alching be worth making a bot script to do an elite diary for? No, probably not, bots can already continuously alch anyway. Just pointing out that high requirements are not as good of a bot repellent as you may think.
it's about the cost for them to get to that point. An account with an elite diary done is better used to bot something else. This wouldn't be profitable relative to that.
That has been proposed before. The fountain of rune was going to allow alcing multiple items at once. But it failed the poll due to concerns about gp inflation. So this is destined to fail.
This isn't compareable to that.
Fountain of rune had no additional cost and encouraged ragging is why it failed
You can sell nature runes too a store for 108 gp gp each and i want this spell to have an increased cost per alch. In general all alchables will get alched in main game if profitable enough if anything this change would lower the total amount of gp entering the game.
wrong, it failed because it gave high alch stupid profits
the cost of a single high alch is negligible to begin with
The idea of this spell is to make alching a viable alternative to shopscape maybe expensive alchs with rough buy limits the gp per hour would go up on a main slightly but this also has alot of draw backs #1 it's less gp per 4 hours of buying #2 requires alot of gp so most likely not bots
#3mains can shop scape for extra profit just like ironman
Nooo im right.
It gave alchs stupid profit because of the lack of cost
People were concerned about people alching rune arrows and stuff
Your not gonna alch a rune arrows with this spell as it costs 218 gp at minimum per alch
Which is 22 profit per rune arrow compared to 240 per rune arrow the fountain of rune offered and this is assuming you already have the runes and would sell them to a store anyway which realistically isn't the case
You dont have to look at "per item" when you are talking about bulk. You think about the total profit per cast, which if you are able to alch like 10, or 20, or whatever, is more than a standard alch would be, leading to higher gp/hr for 0 extra effort
I wish they'd add this. My only suggestion is to make the spell level 99.
I don’t think the level really matters I don’t want Ironman pre 99 mage doing shop scape
The per item was referring to the fountain of rune concern because that was the issue with it. I’m not opposed to a higher then 2 nats per alch but I want to keep this viable as shop scape will still be faster assuming you have multiple stacks so I’m not sure how high you can really go.
Either way this has not been positively received owell
