#Herblore Cape Mixology and Zahur

Currently, the Herblore skillcape provides the passive effect of allowing players to make unfinished potions using grimy herbs and vials of water. Update the Herblore skillcape to provide the following additional effects:

1.) Grimy herbs can be used directly in the Mastering Mixology minigame.
2.) Zahur in Nardah will make unfinished potions using vials of water and grimy herbs.

The skillcape effect is largely irrelevant and unused at this time, and adding uses for grimy herbs via Mastering Mixology and making unfinished potions would provide actual value and use for the cape.

Could we please get this enhancement? Would be nice for the cape to do anything.

While we're here. Release the cap on paste in Mixology. Don't see the point of the machine only holding 3000 of each while we carry it in our inventory or are forced to store it in our banks. It serves no other purpose, allow us to fill it with as much as we want.

How about allowing you to concentrate, crystallize, and homogenize potions slightly faster in the mastering mixology minigame?

Or they could tie this effect to the alchemists outfit

Alchemist outfit should remain cosmetic and as mentioned the actions already scale with herb level and have actions to speed up

molten agate
#

Still a good idea, pls consider

Hey it does something, I can get a free pestal and mortar out of it as many times as I want. No but really it should be updated to work with the modern herblore gameplay loop as you suggested

I don't like making skillcapes matter in the first place but I'm like a decade too late on that take so yeah, might as well

Dodged the QoL poll again, alas. But still we bump.

molten agate

Nothing new to contribute, just really think this should be added.

fading elk

Yeah not much to say but ty for bump

Solid suggestion, current perk is useless outside of leagues

I should point out that adding herbs (cleaned or grimy) or pots gives 6xp regardless of the herb/pot used.

fading elk
#

Or wait do you mean making paste

#

For mixology

#

Very unclear statement

#

I thought you were talking making unf pots by adding an herb to a vial

lilac leaf
#

Making paste. Any herb or vial gives 6xp each regardless of what is used.

fading elk
#

I don’t really know what that has to do with this suggestion but gotcha

lilac leaf
#

Those who have 99 and are going for max xp beyond the cape. Just something to keep in mind.

fading elk
#

I don’t see how the 6xp is important to this proposal at all but ok

lilac leaf
#

Not really related, those with the cape can "skip" an order they don't like. Cape perk. The next order will guarantee a mixalot. That one they have to fill.

fading elk
#

That sounds like an entirely different proposal

As for Zahur I have no idea since the degrime spell exists. But it's largely unused, yeah. To make it not a joke... They kinda added in items which would make it not a joke. I'm talking about the amulet, goggles and reagent pouch. Unless the perk is to pull a page from the smithing cape and increase reagent pouch capacity.

molten agate

Using a grimy herb with a vial while wearing the cape does give you the cleaning xp I think, but it’s still so slow.

I think the majority of people with an Herb cape just want the perk to be useful though, not really care about maxing xp post-99

Lol I also just discovered that you can't use grimy torstols as a secondary, like in a super combat potion, when wearing an herb/max cape either.

#

So that'd be a nice fix too

fading elk
#

Yeah that would be nice for sure

Most skillcapes have rather useless/niche functionality (looking at you wc cape 👀) so I think making herblore cape too powerful is a bad idea maybe. That being said, I think using grimy herbs on zahur sounds reasonable.

fading elk
#

I wouldn’t say these uses are too powerful at all

Make the cape remotely relevant - by doing what the perk already does in a useful way!

@fading elk do you have too many threads to bump now? Seems like you're up to 6.

I have more but I choose to bump the one I care more about

Truly the one that stands above all others though

With the herb sack upgrade, people are more likely to have grimy herbs in the ole bank than ever before. Could we get this pretty please?
