Noxious Halberd Tweaks

Add a crush option, the Halberd is super a underwhelming addition to the game with very niche uses. At least with a crush option it would be decent at some more places such as araxxor/hueycoatl. Plus it makes more sense than a crush option on a scythe.

Also make it so the mirror backs don't reflect ever if killed with a noxious halberd regardless of distance.

It's an underwhelming addition to the game? Do you realize it has better dps than a tentacle whip with an avernic defender?

Add to that the fact that you can inflict venom and attack from 1
tile away, and I'd say it's an amazing weapon. You can kill Vardorvis with it. Much cheaper than a scythe or soulreaper axe.

I even did the whole fight caves with it, using melee only. Stand 1 tile away from Jad, and he can't use his melee attack.

Tob snobs hate the item so gl taking it there. vardorvis I'll give you, it's a very solid item there. And melee jad is very niche. But also most bosses are venom immune. Don't get me wrong I love the weapon but I don't see a lot of use cases where id willingly use it over something else

Tbf zammy hasta does have all 3 so it's not really that much of a reach as long as they keep the crush bonus around the same as the stab currently is on the nox halberd

what this item is very good for its value

good for first quiver

good for some cas

and its better on vardorvis/good duke weapon then tentwhip even blade ive calced depending on setups

its not game changing but compared to sra rubbish/harm its actually something ppl can buy

for something worthwhile on their accounts

Adding the crush option and keeping it somewhere between hasta and bludgeon (both t70 but ones meant as a crush weapon) seems fair. It is a tier 80 weapon after all

Not sure, it's already quite a powerful item as it stands. Nor does any other Halberd have the Crush Attack Style (as far as I'm aware).

Giving it even more utility might just limit future design space.

Halberds as a weapon do not make sense to have a crush type. Thats like if you put crush on a rapier, it just doesnt make sense

But the scythe and hasta make sense ? We must be holding these very different in our minds cuz ain't no way I'm crushing with a hasta/scythe, hasta only would stab/slash and scythe slash only

I wouldn't say those should necessarily have a crush option either, but its already been established as typing. Halberds have always been just stab/slash anyway

Nox halberd is a fine weapon as is. Adding a crush style is pointless given that there's so many other crush weapons already. The only thing that could see some improvement is changing the spec.

IRL halberds would often have either a spike or a hammer opposite the blade

a halberd offering a crush option wouldn't be particularly strange

with that being said, the noxious halberd is fine

it's a near BiS item for a fraction of the price of its competition
