#Game Net For GE

So for Some time now there has been no net on items in the G.E no matter what their current values are, so If you make like 30k blood runes and fully charge a pvm'ers Sythe of Viture you just did that pvm a huge favor by making him/allowing him to go do you know 50 more hours straight of pvm, THATS A HUGE DEAL!!! THAT PVPER CAN CONTINUE TO GET DROPS SKILLERS WANT WHILE KEEPING ALL THE LOOT FOR HIMSELF!!!! W.e need a net in the G.E for items like blood runes and dragon arrows things that allow pvm'ers to get the drops, like a net deal, lets say I was the skiller who made 30k blood runes, I would ask for a drop like a avernic defender and let the PVMer keep the rest of the drops to himself, Which would be a Net deal, and sounds good on paper too. Because you know that 30k blood runes are going to get you more than 1 Avernic defender, so it would make sense to make a net like that, because no matter what you think a blood rune is worth im sure it's less than whatever a PVPer thinks its worth because a PVPer just wants to PVP for free, But a PVMer wants to make deals with skillers. So think About putting a levy in the G.E again I think it had a poll one time but failed. But something that keeps trade alive like a bundle for LARGE AMOUNTS OF ITEMS, and like a MANDITORY sale price for (Like FREE items). It could work like a mininmum item purchase price like a SHOP PRICE. But be bundalble like ITEM SETS, at THE BANKER.

Look I just want to mix some of the skilling with PVM, PVM soaks up alot of skillers UNTIL their bone dry and they never RE-ENTER the mainstream MMMORPG stream because they get WAXED by PVMer with more than Usual cash supplies who could easily spend 500gp on a chisel or a bowl of water.
So Like Im saying NET DEALS. AND stay away from CHEAP SUPPLIES.

VOTE UP NOT DOWN!

I feel like I'm losing brain cells trying to read and understand this mess.

rigid temple
#

Dude I don't even understand what it is you want

cobalt patrol
#

Are you proposing that the GE facilitates a bartering system?

rigid temple
#

Wtf do you mean by a net deal?

cobalt patrol
#

Also, you don't get to decide if someone wants to thumbs up or down. That is dependant on the quality of the suggestion, which this one is a pile of garbage.

rigid temple
#

I don't think English is their first language

#

Like

cobalt patrol
#

Definitely not

rigid temple
#

OP is mad about the relative value of consumables between PvP and PvM?

#

I think?

cobalt patrol
#

I can't tell

#

He's complaining that a skiller can make 30k blood runes, sell it on the ge and fund a pvper's scythe for the next 50 hours?

#

I don't know what kind of pvper uses a scythe for pvp.

rigid temple
#

Does he want a cut of all the PvPer's profits from the items he sells?

#

How tf would you even enable that via the GE since buy orders are filled by multiple sellers at once

#

Especially for bulk buy limit orders

cobalt patrol
#

Not a clue but there's so much wrong with the logic in this post.

#

@wicked sky hey man you wanna try and explain this again point by point?

#

Your grammar and syntax is all over the place and you're using your own unique jargon which I think is a mistranslation

#

Boil this down for us so we can give it a fair shake

cobalt patrol
#

I'm curious to understand what this is actually about but until OP comes to clarify, this remains a thumbs down.

lofty tiger

I genuinely think OP is just trolling troll

cobalt patrol

Feels 50/50 to me between trolling and someone making an absurd suggestion that also makes zero sense

fading fiber

feels like my first time at tob

#

"whats a n1234?"

#

"whats mage role whats rdp"

wicked sky
#

Oh

#

No its like Having a Trade value in the G.E

cobalt patrol
#

What do you mean by a trade value?

wicked sky
#

Like instead of all items going into the G.E with no Value in mind now all of a Sudden they have a REAL or expected value, IF they sell at all

#

So like if you were cleaning out your bank there would be no more junk items, there would be a minimum value on just about everything

cobalt patrol
#

Everything in the GE has a value that's established by the economy. Additionally, there is a real value as defined by the alch value too.

lime canopy
#

All GE trades are between players inherently, value is entirely based on supply/demand

#

With minor effects from ge tax sink

wicked sky
#

That has nothing to do with the fact that there are Useful items in the G.E that get sold at low prices just because anyone would buy them at such a low price, but instead Spread that value Out so that mid game players doing Prep style work get a fair peice of Gear For Grinding out the tough patches

cobalt patrol
#

Mid game players doing prep work are rewarded though

rigid temple
#

Okay yeah you just don't understand the game economy then

#

Hard no

lime canopy
#

If you don’t want to sell things for low price, spend time getting things that are worth more money instead

cobalt patrol
#

And either ways, the GE is dependant on supply and demand as Etube said. You can't just say, lets lower the price of something because it would be beneficial to newer players.

rigid temple
#

There is already the GE tax that removes items from the economy by buying them from players

#

But that focuses more on high rarity items

#

This is already essentially in the game but you want random junk to auto sell for a fixed rate

#

This is how you crash a planned economy

wicked sky
#

But theres still no reative guarantee that if you do the work becase the way the game sits now, If you do all the work in the world, you know make 30k Blood Runes totally charge a Sythe of Vitur and they go out and get a new Sythe Full justicy and 6 defnder hilts with that and all you get is like 11-12m?

cobalt patrol
#

And?

wicked sky
#

And all the prices are basted on the market

#

So it the market is based on 0 you get 0

cobalt patrol
#

What you are basically saying is if a low level worker makes a good that helps a professional make a ton of money, they should be rewarded from that money in addition to being paid whatever their salary is?

wicked sky
#

no mid game rewards alot of the high level game things

#

low level rewards dont really help the higher level players

cobalt patrol
#

As a late game pvmer myself, why should I care who crafts my bloodrunes to fund my scythe and why should I have any obligation to give them anything if I spend my time raiding and making money?

wicked sky
#

things like super restores blood runes sara pots things of that nature

cobalt patrol
#

You still haven't answered my question

fading fiber
cobalt patrol
#

^

#

Making blood runes and raiding tob are two very different content and should be rewarded differently.

fading fiber
#

i dont see how me afking woodcutting should benefit just as much as someone sweating their ass off in a raid

wicked sky
#

no theres only one possible reward for skilling and thats PVM supplies, There only one REWARD for raids and thats Raid supplies

cobalt patrol
#

There's way more than one type of reward but I see that talking to you is pointless.

wicked sky
#

Woodcutting has a benefit of making more money that enters the G.E, Without having to trade another player

#

when combined with fletching

#

and high alch

#

as it normally is

cobalt patrol
#

You have demonstrated a severe lack of understanding of basic economics as well as how OSRS and the GE works. You are either trolling or need to read some books.

wicked sky
#

moneys pretty fair to get in the game

cobalt patrol
#

I'm done with this meaningless conversation.

wicked sky
#

Damn I get fussed at for Suggesstions

warped trench
#

I understood the post well enough. OP wants people that sell supplies on the GE to get a cut of the loot that other players get from using those supplies in PvM. 🤷‍♂️

cobalt patrol
#

That seems to be the case which is absolutely absurd.

#

Just imagine, you raid for hours at tob with a team and finally get a scythe. Now for whatever reason, the game says you must give a share of that scythe money to the guy who made your blood runes or raid supplies.

wicked sky
#

Yes exactly DRYoshiyahu

cobalt patrol
#

Thank you for confirming that you have made an absolutely ridiculous suggestion.

lime canopy
#

Do you pay the restaurant a % of your salary because they fed you? No, you pay for the food you purchased.

cobalt patrol
#

I had hoped that I was just misunderstanding the post but I was unfortunately wrong.

wicked sky
#

The trouble is if you have a Supply of you know how ever many items that item still should have a real trade value rather than whatever the economy says its worth

#

Based on Charts on speculative Buying patterns don't Actualy bring out the Values of the game

#

The Game could have some more tight corners

lime canopy
#

Using blood runes as an example, they have an inherent value, which is defined by alch/shop value, and also serves as a floor to their market value. People paying above that price already shows increased demand over the minimum "safety net" the game has built in

warped trench
# wicked sky Yes exactly DRYoshiyahu

To what end? You mentioned the person that crafted the runes and crafted the arrows, but does it also include the people that mined the pure essence, smithed the arrowheads, cut the logs, fletched the logs, or fletched the feathers?

wicked sky
#

No because look at this, If a player spends his time making blood runes and another player spends his time raiding thats 2 players working towards 1 goal, and thats only 1 player getting the benefit for it because there is not a Minimum sell price in the G.E, Meaning a third person can just argue the price of the runes while a person working to make blood runes and a person Raiding both get cut out of the Value of working.

warped trench
#

Does it include the people that farmed herbs, cleaned herbs, made unfinished potions or finished them?

#

Does it include every person that obtained or created every piece of gear that the person is wearing for the duration of the raid?

wicked sky
#

No im trying to staple Trade Value With Reward items in a way that works

cobalt patrol
#

You guys should probably realise by now that logic flies over OP's head.

warped trench
lime canopy
#

It’s not two people working toward one goal at all. You are making a resource to obtain its current market value. When you sell it, you have no idea what the person is doing with it, mor any stake in their activity. Your goal is to sell your product for money for your own ends, and their entirely separate goal could be barraging slayer, raiding tob, or literally just collecting it and you have no investment or stake in their actions

#

That’s how a market works

#

You are all independently working toward goals

warped trench
wicked sky
#

Its when an item goes from one person to another it becomes useful and that usefulness dictates its value more than what the receiver did with the items

#

You know its compassion for the player

lime canopy
#

Economies aren’t built on compassion, they’re built on transactions

#

OSRS doesn’t need welfare

warped trench
lofty tiger
#

Yeah if this happened I think people would go back to trading in person again to get better deals

wicked sky
#

Well you know deals are What im Game for I want to see the people that put in the EXTRA get the extra

#

You know like a thank you

#

Its hard to find sometimes

#

Not sure why I would want a Saftey price if I was going to sell for less than A fair VALUE

fading fiber
#

it is a fair value

#

it goes up when lots of people buy

#

goes down when less people buy

lofty tiger
warped trench
rigid temple
#

OP has a clear misunderstanding of how in game trade works on the GE

#

It's really not worth the time try and change their opinion

wicked sky
#

Thats why NETTing or Supply in Demand NETs could be used to make a Fair and Real Value of High supply and Demand items, Because we already know Items that aren't tradend offten have a Higher Supply and Demand Value

pure adder
#

@wicked sky I think this is a good idea. we could introduce a system where every item is worth a certain amount of Good Points, which are points that represent your goods. then skillers can sell things for the amount of Good Points they want and pvmers can exchange their drops for Good Points and use those Good Points for buying supplies from skillers. upvote if you think this makes sense 👍

wicked sky
#

Thank you SIR: {}

#

Yeah that makes sense, but the thing is I think its more like about level expectancies for certain things, like if you were doing level 80 things you should get level 80 payouts, and not vice versa, but I could see were Good Points for like high supplies would be worth a value

#

Like A WASH sale value

OK that was an interesting read
If you want what a PvM'er earns, do the PvM after you do the skilling needed to fuel it
Then you can buy more of what you need to do the PvM
It should be a fair tradeoff but sometimes you get way undercut because skilling is generally low effort
