#Remove weight as a mechanic (or HEAVILY reduce values)

I shouldn't have to dedicate 1 of my 28 very limited inventory slots to a stamina pot in PvM
I shouldn't have to dedicate 4 of my 28 very limited inventory slots to prayer potions in PVM (and money for the potion/a long time preparing on a ironman to gather 1.33 snapdragons for unf pot and make the potion) for my privilege to use prayer normally.
"I shouldn't have to juggle clues"
"I shouldn't have to grind gear"
"I shouldn't have to grind gp"
Removing game mechanics because you don't want to do something is stupid of a reason.
It's like saying bosses shouldn't have slayer level requirements because you're a pacifist OR content shouldn't be locked behind quests because combat-only build.
If the boss itself doesn't require staminas, a simple prepot at the bank is enough for any semi long walk to a boss
the gathering problem seems to only be a f2p problem where you don't have a bank teleport or gathering spots near banks
even with the closest teleport almost guarantees you're out of energy before you even start the fight, unless you bring and use a stamina pot, wasting an inventory slot but more importantly
no it isn't
where the hell are you running to
PNM pre tablet is the only boss that you can run out of energy on the run to (and/or not also have enough run to fight the boss)
Yeah I wasn’t disagreeing with you
ah mb
Maybe vard/whisp pre tablet but even that’s barely a concern because you can either prepot a stam or just mildly walk for the 20kc it takes to get a tablet
whisp is mind altar tele or lassar and there's also a bank inside camdozaal
vard is fair i didn't think of that
gwd i guess but gwd trips are super long
I was watching the new Sae Bae video and he was suggesting about having Agility levels increasing your "base weight" or starting weight. Basically, it increases the amount of weight you need to carry before it starts counting against you.
So at 1 Agility, anything past 1. At say 99, anything past 50 (The arbitrary numbers he mentioned in the video). I would say probably scaling up to 20 might be a little more balanced here.
I think that might actually be a cool idea.
You running from edge bank to kbd lair or something?
I somewhat like it but if we’re doing that it’d make logical sense for it to be tied to strength too seeing as a powerlifter would struggle less with 50kg than a marathon runner at which point it loses my support. The best and most logical solution i’ve seen is your agility level decreases your run depletion… which is all players asked before before jagex went down a massive rabbit hole thinking they needed to nerf graceful and completely redesign run energy
complete support as it improves the new player experience and helps retain new players. osrs is already grindy and this dosent need to exist .
some bosses are a treck, i feel like re-looking at agility works with run energy and agility lv should be looked at, as it is in the blog.
was watching a sae bae ramble earlier he had a good idea, the concept was lets say ur agility lv is 20. ur base weight (currently 0kg or below,) would increase to 10kg instead lets say, the numbers can be altered to be more balanced, since stamina needs to be viable. So like at 99 agil ur base weight would be 50kg, found it wasnt a bad idea.
And all of those, 1 sip of stamina before you tp would last til you got there
i love that your post implies you're doing pvm
but when asked for examples you name "running from the falador mine to a bank"
hosidius house to sarachnis (granted xeric's talisman exists but new players either A arent going to know about it and B you'd still be almost out of energy with it)
canafis fairy ring to slayer tower
Varrock bank to scurrius in the sewers
i don't run out of energy doing either of these
ye varrock east to scurrius is a super short run
