something like a flea market, vendors of all types with unlimited buy supply.

-No more server stress in players hoping worlds to buy supplies
-big quality of life update for all player types irons and norms(GE sometimes doesn't have what you need, or buy limit is reached)
-GP sink as the unlimited stock could be for a moderately higher cost then a current shop at zero stock.

-be neat if made it somewhat of a sims
where similar to the POH players would need to build the stalls and recruit the vendors to run them. (additional GP sink possibility)

I think for future updates, there should be less focus on shops and more focus on skills. For example: suppose I want to obtain a lot of runes. I'd prefer less emphasis on shops and more emphasis on making traditional Runecraft running producing a large amount of runes. Because skills should be pretty decent ways to obtain things, and right now they're not.

Excusing that, I think a centralised location for shopping is a bad idea. There are already players who dislike the GE because of the effect it had across the playerbase in terms of communal trading. I think a Merchant Guild/Flea Market would devalue typical shops to the point of making them useless. Or worse, would devalue skilling even more. Which would make the game feel more empty.

So if someone wants 1m feathers for Fletching on the side and afk fishing, they realistically need a shop and not a place to kill chickens.
If they want to grind slayer, normal runecrafting didn't give the quantity of blood and soul runes needed...etc
