#Raids? How about Dungeons?

For casuals idiot
why
because I pay your way
Sorry, JK
I wanna feel like I'm doing a raid, but I don't want to try as hard
yeah I guess there should be more mid level group content in the game
theres always [[gwd]]

Thats a raid
Too tryhard
If I wanted to raid, I'd raid. I want to relax (possibly with the boys) and do some content that doesn't require a lot of brainpower. Obor isn't free. Jad isn't free. Just less effort required than a raid.

moar
cox is a raid
Yes
Toa
No
I updated post
An intro raid
Tbf toa was made for that exact reason
0 raid lvl is basically what you described
cox is so chill bro
More like going trought nieves old ccave
Biggest bosses would be jad / obor tier mechanics
Wave mechanics?
Idk, doesnt rly make any sense to me
casual stuff
for u maybe
but for progression its fun
ur max i bet
a real grinder
smh
stereotype
When you learn stuff it generally becomes easier. Cox becomes quite literally brain off in teams. Toa was made for the shit you mentioned so it’s not really gonna get easier than that for maybe a year or two (or never)
For progression jad is quite literally the gateway into bossing (switching overheads)
You tell me, after all that grinding, you don't wanna feel like a Dig Bick Chad?
No

go get a real hobby, and leave games for having fun
or start a stream and make money selling ur soul
ez 👋
How does this differ from basic slayer
You just teleport between places in slayer
slayer is just grind. I hear people bitching about slayer all the time
How does dungeon not be a grind then
Is raids a grind?
Or did you mean its only obor level bossss
Obor through Jad across multiple levels of skill challenge
Becayse i understood it would be obor tier boss with tons of slayer tier content mixed in
i think this is a fine idea but idk hm dev time i want for adamant scimtar raids
non tradables
Wdym skill challange, like toa puzzle or basic level checks
Just make designs for couple wat chief goblins
Can use it to testbed new attacks or mechanics idk
Or just reuse old things
No pets
No coll logs
yeah no pets no coll logs
just fun
every day of every minute, fun
bosses, rare loot, fun, chilling with the homies, fun
but also epic loot maybe
non obligatory
just a little something something
if this turns out to just be a hub for social aspect/low value idk if anyone would actually go there
what do u identify as mid tier
Obor through Jad
I do Obor but I don't like grinding for keys
ppl do jad for cape/xp which is a diffrence incentivive
I just mage only'd jad today. Was fun.
Obor is fun because he's weak and I just throw my ween on the table and roll
ik but hes not worth doing at all
Jad is fun because; decent boss, decent loot
and the whole key mechanic makes it worse
i get what ur saying
just creating good early/med lvl contnet that viable is just hard
look at sarachnis
You sound young tbh and if you’re looking for that niche, it’s kinda hard with slayer out
But look at Muspa. Mid-High tier boss. good loot.
There’s just way too many mid tier bosses atm
it mostly just turns into being useless content that noone does cuz not rewarding enough
zulrah dead as well
A lot of mid tier bosses barely have mechanics
I'm 30
Guess it’s something that can be done for f2p type things but people generally like the grind
Damn 💀
Bosses like Obor are easy to make
but what if it were like a raid, with 3 bosses per dungeon, and with untradable rare loot
doesn't need to be good loot
It would be dead content because it’s untradeable
Most content that offers untradeables are generally 1 and done, besides cms/hmt (which folks don’t like usually)
thread of elidinis isn't dead
You only need 1
Not for new nth cape
to a f2p n00b, the Club is a huge weapon
The only thing they listed that would maybe come into a game is a triple rat boss for f2p
That would be around what you’re looking for minus the dungeon
rotted rat > lifesteal rat > magic infused rat
f2p dungeon
in the sewers
Do we want this?
The rat dungeon drops a blood lifesteal ring, 25% change to steal 2 HP when in melee. F2P
???
Thats op af
Might actually out heal bloodfury
What
ez 👏

True
Idk dungeons sounds like good update to slayer
From low to high intensity combat, bit of rng on what you get
But no dull grind, but bit of a grind then a boss fight
Or it could go horribly
depends on execution ye
maybe im to based but if its a low-low med lvl update its gona not be fun imo
all i want is content that is braindead easy but also fun to do that I can do with my mates except it should also be soloable and it shouldn't be grindy but also it should have expensive rare loot
why cant jagex do this???
it will die instantly thanks to bots dead content already
I mean we get almost the exact opposite, convoluted bosses that are solo only or solo efficient that either poop powerful gear consistently or have very rare mediocre upgrades
Might as well try to spice it up with some balanced drop rates for the power level ya know
No way
toa
now since you can solo gwd easy, they should scale death timers with how mnay peaople are in the room!
they should rework java
they should rework dn
but can send with mates easily
just make it mandatory group content tbh
its like duo nex/duo tob for me while they might better just to slow for getting drops
they should have its a RAID
and then have it be aimed at like 85 combat level and mediocre rewards but big drops per clear bc it takes long
designing it to be solo was mistake imo
that would probably satisfy most ppl
but like what rewards can u give
well tbh even if something is not worth doing those players will do it
cuz they want to try stuff
i mean tbh i was expecting it to be like this and idm but woulda been cool ye
i think in future they should have some post quest bosses unlocked that u never encountered in quest
I saw Slayer thrown a few times. Honestly, I want to see more Slayer creatures out in the wild than all centralized into a linear progression dungeon. Of course, in a suitable environment
The Fremmenik Slayer Cave for example
Anything over normal slayer caves
It kind of irks me how stupid some dungeons in the game are. My above example is a prime one
What logic does that cave follow?
You have like a lizard thing
Then you have slugs
Eventually you have some fire elemental
And a slime
i mean tob inferno u had no idea what it was like u only saw it when u got there
fighting ez mode lets u see all mechanics and boss fight which is a big downside imo
I think we need more monsters in the open than all centralized into caves and stuff
Although that would be hard to retrofit into most of the existing landmass without drastic changes
But for new stuff, it would be nice
Slayer cave, thats multi, but all enemies have shit drops
Agree with the GWD being mid game group content. Definitely how people did that when it came out.
But now everyone solos stuff. Doesn't help that there are very few formal grouping mechanics
Like RS3 had loot share, and raids have individual chests
But random bosses only work if you trust your partner(s) to split
raid like dungeons would be fun
No quest requirement, but maybe like locked behind some arbitrary thing. Brimhaven Dungeon costs money to get into if anyone doesnt remember. That one is solved. Maybe like Fremminik dungeon could be locked behind an unknown fairy ring code
Technically Daggonoth king trio is a dungeon, just not instanced
I guess I'm wanted instanced dungeons
that loot is split like raids and scaled like raids
barrows is technically a dungeon. barrows is huge content. just not very profitable. i saw someone with a shadow doing barrows just now though
it is if ur grinding for drops
anything before qpc is early game everything after qpc is mid game hell we already had been given mid game updates the last 5 years
imma keep it a buck it really doesnt seem like you got much experience in the game
saying raids isnt a grind n shit
it seems to me youre just describing even easier raids which really doesnt make sense to me
like linear progression of boss to boss in a set order is just tob
just from looking at their screenshare it's clear they're very new
8m bank, using initiate armor not even proselyte
i don't know why they have the uim role if they're not even a uim
no lily he got virtus and a volly
afaik he was bragging about buying bonds for it
like i dont wanna be a dick or anything but theres no other way to put it than this is dumb
esp if shit only dropped untradeables it would give the player no reason to return to the content when they get the item they want
wth
yeah
i mean i don't really like shitting on new players, since my acc is also early game
yeah
but you can't really be saying "we need a raid about the same difficulty as fight caves"
jad is like the easiest boss in the game mechanically
two attacks drastically different attack anims and 5 adds
unironically, if fight caves was just jad and nothing else - no waves
would be easier to kill jad than obor
yep
obor hits through prayer, you have to bring food or learn to kite
and it's not the easiest in the world either that fighting area is tiny as fuck
yea
it feels elitist to say but idk like
most people who give ideas (not just him in specific) who arent endulged in the game
usually have ideas that are either ripped from rs3 or just cater to like 1000 total players
i mean i don't think it's inherently elitism
in my eyes the main point of early game is to get the fuck out of early game
it's not a subjective point that new players generally make poorer suggestions
oh yeah im just saying that like
but like if youre a software dev and someone who doesnt do any of that shit has an idea more times than not its flawed or wrong
in the same sense as someone not experience in the game may make a suggestion that just wont hold up or we
but no this guy was in old school the other day bragging about being a bond warrior idk
mhm
and i mean - making suggestions which are not the best, isn't always bad, sometimes it pushes you to learn why it's not a good idea and thus lets you gain some experience based on other players rather than strictly only giving opinions on what you and only you do
that being said - i do think that there comes a certain point where there's a threshold of understanding that you need, at the bare minimum
idk in my eyes this sums it up
in just inexperienced
raids are only sweaty if you make them sweaty
i mean,
[14:51] OP 🐋 croutons 🐋: jad isn't dead
[14:52] OP 🐋 croutons 🐋: People do fire cape runs all the time
i don't even have a jad kc yet, but because of my experience elsewhere, i know that people do jad kills for reasons outside of 'i want a fire cape'
yeah
e.g. skipping with nieve for efficient jad tasks for slayer
idk like i do inferno for fun
i used to do jad tasks for xp
cuz ez and chill
i occasionally do tob and watch a movie
mhm
there is maybe 1 perspective that i can agree wtih croutons about cox being "too tryhard" but this is only one perspective out of many
and that's how cox is less dependent on gear and more about gen knowledge/pvm skill
a friend of mine can do cox with gear much worse than mine, just bc she has a shit ton of experience and it's like second nature to her basically
but you can chill and do raids with friends etc
i mean its too tryhard if youve never done it ig
but i dont think youre allowed to call something tryhard if youre still early game
true
endgame content is harder ofc but like
you dont need to be cracked out of your mind for raids
p much
idk im not letting the person with only barrows wt and soul wars kc tell me whats tryhard and whats not

did they give an opinion on toa
prolly
isnt toa literally built for people like them
he said obor to jad is mid game. thats enough reading down
LMAO
i mean
ok
tbh, the post kinda reads to me similar to how anodd talks about his gameplay

my qualm is that this type of suggestion comes across as being from someone with no experience in pvm
but they'd have that experience if they didn't... skip it
like they bought a volatile with bonds, if they had bought just a whip, the gear to get into proselyte, some basic range/mage gear, and just sent low level pvm for better gear
they would have that experience
and they would be able to more accurately express what needs to be changed or added to the game
it affected the choice of wording too - like "would be as hard as the fight caves" doesn't mean too much if they're also suggesting a "metal dragon boss, baby dragon boss, and a fire giant boss"
if you exclude the fact that this sounds like a private server type beat, part of the difficulty of the fight caves is just knowing your rotation and not being in a situation where you have to eat 100 damage from the ranger with pray mage up
they're not really comparable pvm scenarios in that regard
or like, explaining what does or doesn't count as a "mechanic", saying that 'needing to cast crumble undead on a zombified spawn' is a mechanic
but then what is a mechanic really defined as if e.g. talking about monster spawns? are 3 different types of monsters (1 at a time) being spawned counted as 3 separate mechanics?
imo, raids in osrs are like dungeons in other mmos cuz there about the same scale, maybe a bit more mechanical but ye
yeah we need gwd but with nex drop mechanics and with just more interesting boss mechanics in general
It was a little disappointing that none of the new bosses were for groups
I think all the new, interesting mechanics bosses (outside of raids) have been solo only
Last
last
ym last

Brappin
This would be cool. But then your just playing a grindier version of WOW
i think that little dungeons would be cool
like less fleshed out than raids for tiny ass rewards
i think j1mmy mentioned in his video like something between mithril and addy out of a dungeon
with some stupid simple boss mechanics and have that as purples
im not opposed to that tbh
especially if its the mid game boss that teaches endgame mehcanics
i think that if a boss comes out for midgame (even tho toa exists) i think it should be something that isnt meant to be camped for 10 trillion kc to skip the midgame like vorkath is
Problem with all sub 60 combats is the fact that those levels are sub 10% of the total grind
Thus mith to addy dungeon is basically one n done deal
And if you are p2p you insta skip it
Also enjoy 6 tick mage if you have to dodge things
As mage becomes viable combat style at 75 mage
inshallah we get gauntlet weapons
He never does. Him and the op are s-tier billybobs
tbh im just worried about low lvl content ending up as dead content
i feel like people would still do it regardless and giving the experince of feeling like ur doing something is good enough
but look at sarachnis or abyssal sire
i saw jimmy video and theres alot of room to plump stuff around game
but one of his idea for rewards was armor between mithril and adamant or something
its just how valueable would that be? guess its better then nothing
In Jagex's "mid level content addition", one of their main suggested purposes / rewards was just XP
Which is never gonna go out of style and just as useful for low levels as high
thats not a bad idea
im not a fan of midgame mfs farming the same boss for 7 trillion years and not actually learning the game
(vorkath prods)
Muspah with tbow
I think vorkath is mid game
Camping tbow skill wise?
Ye
Prayer phase by flicking?
Ye
Given the proposed slayer staff at 56 slayer is considered "midgame" between trident of seas and iban's.. probably about that range
Where training levels is likely more important than upgrades
that would be cool tbh imo if u could do harder content for xp just cmb though
kinda crazy how people whine about not passing the barrier to do the content calling it impossible... then what the fuck am I if i passed the barrier to do it

Toxic elitist
Toxic Elitist ❌
Toxic Leech ✅
All elitist leech off honest hard working mod fearing billybobs
I think cox is pretty casual and so is toa
maybe you can give em a shot
I read all this as
We need f2p raids
nice necroing this thread
I delete the content of the message and you still got something to say
it's fine, but if you really need to talk try #old-school
Just let jagex cook on the shit that's coming out, they read suggestions
try to have fun, it's a fuckin' videogame
with a great dev team
bye
and dont repeat the mistakes of history
?
