use things like discord etc chief. Voice chat in OSRS would not be an easily moderated environment. Totally not worth the investment and infrastructure when placed like this do it way better

I cannot imagine being at WT and hearing people verbally say what they type in game. And then this being added to everywhere else. Cool idea because it would actually be nice, but unfortunately people would abuse the heck out of it. Imagine you're at ge and the website spammers are using pre-recorded voice to advertise... nty

I doubt this would get approved unfortunately, just because it would increase the work for the moderation team by a heck of a lot, as they would instead have to listen to each message when it takes a lot less time to read
