#Change the colour of hitsplats for attacks that were correctly prayed against

**why: ** attacks in the game have their damage calculated at different points, when the attack is launched , mid way through animation, or when the attack actually hits you. this can make it hard to get the timing right for certain bosses since you can never really tell if you flicked correctly or just got lucky with a 0. It becomes even harder when more than one thing is attacking you ( like in 4-6 jad challenge with healers hitting).
A different colour for correctly prayed attacks will give a positive response to the player when they do get the timing right , which would help build good habits and learn faster.

Ideally make this a toggle option so people who don't like it or find it confusing don't get effected.

who it effects :

  1. New players learning pvm
  2. Experienced players trying to optimise their runs and learn harder strats

Also red 0 hitsplats when something passes the defense roll but deals 0 damage please

I might even suggest an entirely different hitsplat, rather than just a different colour. 🤔

#

I guess it's different when the character actually takes damage though. In cases where the character completely negates the incoming damage, it might be nice to just see a grey shield, for instance—no '0' either, just to illustrate that there isn't even the possibility of damage being dealt. This would be nice to have on NPCs. 🤔

There's also poison, venom, disease

Zalcano's armour, Muspah's prayer shield, Nightmare's totems, the Warden's core damage...

#

And all of them have dark versions, not just red 😛

#

That doesn't seem more convoluted to you? 😅

Well, I could be wrong, but I don't think OP was imagining just another shade of red. That's why I suggested an entirely different sprite 👍

temporos also has a hitsplat for his shield, unless its the same as a different bosses

This would be great. Good for telling if you lazy flicked right too

#

And remember that "did I pray right?" is about to get even more confusing with the only 90% effective ruinous power prayers

I believe jagex has said they adding even more hit splats can get hard to keep them visually distinctive especially for colorblind players

yeah i can appreciate we are getting to the point of multiple hitsplats which can cause confusion , but i just really want the team to put in a clear indicator so you can correct mistakes. a red hitsplat for 0 where they hit off prayer but rolled nothing was mentioned and thats defo an easy fix
