#New skill

This sounds like something that could be part of the Taming skill proposal.
Taming is just summoning it's not a good idea
Falconry can enhance other skills, like fishing, hunter, thieving
You can birds to steal from nests for example have it kill animals that produce loot too
Send it further away for afk training
There's just so much that you could build off of this
Bring in an agility system where you have to climb higher areas to send your falcon
Isnt falconry already part of hunter
That's literally pretty much what they said they wanted Taming to be.
They'd probably expand it rather than make a new skill. I don't think taming will pass
I'd rather have summoning than taming tbh but without affecting combat lvl
Don't gaslight yourself into the Taming = Summoning psyops
Look how the game went going that route let's not fuck it again
Dungeonering expanded would be a safe one.
Yes there are overlaps, but trying to equate them as the same thing will just ruin your perspective on things.
Maybe boring for some people
None of the updates was a safe one lol
I just think the idea of people running about with pets devalues the actual skilling pets
Falconry should just be like tools the same as all the other skills
Nothing fancy
Yeh it would suck. If one player grinded for 499 hours to get a rock golem and some guy rolls up with a massive beast he tamed with one click and actuality does something
Yeah nobody wants this
I'd do something dungeonering archaeology related
Just have a simple skill that can help some of the others thieving and agility are in need of something so falconry could boost this a little
I'll propose a proper detailed idea later
I'd say hunter needs a big expansion so I'd save it for hunter
Hunter seems lame ATM
Hunter has herbiboar
Hunter can be extended without falconry
This is the issue a lot of the old skills are still in dire need of work so proposing game changing ideas for a new skill is just not the right way to do it
The games at a peak at the moment without all this fancy new shit
Pets are more like trophies right now
I don't really see anything about Taming devaluing that aspect
Just that you see someone walking around with a pet it's noticeable and impressive
If the whole G.E has some tamed mega beast no one will care
And who knows, they might be able to update the engine to have both a pet and a tamed beast
There's also huge potential for useful and powerful pets to exist! Imagine how cool it would be to have different people with many kids of appealing options.
Early accounts want a stamina / run food pet, or maybe a rune-finding pet.
Imagine a treefolk pet that extends the life of trees, allowing for better woodcutting.
Or a treat-bot, improving the potential for finding pets.
Edit: a hellhound, that fends off other creatures you aren't looking to kill in the wilderness, making it easier to focus on what you're hunting.
there's so much room for cool stuff, limited only by imagination
any game without a beastmaster build is automatically inferior
No it’s not. It’s almost exactly the opposite 🤣
Everything that defines the training loop of Summoning is completely inverted for Taming
tbh, i'd be happy for any of the skills. they all look so cool
