Elvish lore speaks of a wolflike predator called Hunleff, that comes from the elvish plane of Tarddiad. So deadly that a replica has been made to train elven warriors (and players) in the Gauntlet.

So make the Hunleff a very real, very dangerous creature. A solo-only creature for very high level hunter players that have done Song of the Elves.

The fight is composed of a very sensible pattern of hunting the deadliest predator any elvish man has ever seen.

It would involve multiphasic tracking of the creature throughout tirannwn or gielinor (Possibly mostly leading into magical, isolated ruins such as Mynnid, Camdozaal, and some other isolated forestry areas that aren't really stepped too often by the players, mainly on the western provinces.

After the Hunleff is tracked, the players are required to appease the gracious creature by bringing the hunleff something it demands - Incase the Hunleff is somewhat conscious (because game lore never says it is just an animal)

After appeasing the animal, players are rewarded crystal shards, a loot table worth at least 40k and chance to roll for unique equipment that can improve any of the three styles, following the elvish line, with agility requirements and being degradeable.

Hunleff could also be fought, with him praying against 2 styles at once, changing his attack style every 3 attacks, changjng his prayers every 4 attacks received (regardless of your current weapon) as well as having a bigger arena with faster floor patterns and more punitive overall mechanics (But with a more valuable loot table)

Tell me what you think? Would a living legendary predator be a good lategame unlock for the Hunter skill? (Since hunter barely has one?)

I feel like this is 2 suggestions:

  1. Add a hunter boss. From this suggestion, could have a skilling or combat ending but IMO better to choose one in design. Riffing, I hear hunter boss & think either a scaling minigame boss like Wintertodt or a high level one like Zalcano
  2. Add tracking across the map as a kind of clue scroll like activity for hunter
Both of these are fairly appealing, but not sure they need to go together.
