switch the same items every time - always a 2h wep, chest, legs, and possibly cape. You should be able to get mage arena cape? so then you're at least switching the same slots every time
Zigzag from top left, bottom left, top right, bottom right for a 4-way switch
Use the colors to figure out when you've messed up a swap and move a thing back in between attacks
iirc it's +70 mage accuracy to never splash on a minion, so try to have a mage setup that hits that. Dragon boots probably drag you down a little bit
practice makes perfect (or at least, better) with switches

the only wrong part of your gear is the salve amulet
you need salve amulet (ei), normal salve amulet only buffs strength and attack
so you are losing 20% range damage and accuracy
otherwise everything is fine
you just take a good amount of damage against vorkath, eat food and dont panic and youll kill it

Unfortunately vorkath is a bit of an rng fight when you first get there, you're doing everything right with prayers as all you can do is pray against your weakest style and hope that if it's in the opposite style, it doesn't hit very big

There is an optimal quest order but that is kinda designed for a player who just wants to grind through them as efficiently as possible but I'd agree wirh Alyla about finding stuff you think is cool, finding what it takes to unlock it and focusing on that :)

Very recently they have started making dying at bosses even nicer, with a few of them you now respawn outside the arena so no more running back, clearing grave, banking and resetting
You still have to bank and regear but it saves running back just to grab ur grave
