hello, ive just started the game, ive genuinely never played before but had a mate who played this while he used to do some coding and was always impressed by its's nostalgic feel and general goals e.g maxing skills, which just seems satisfying to me. ive just bought membership and played for like 3 days before, before life got in the way. ive got some gold in the bank, but just want to know, how do i start out? do i just pick up an optimal quest guide and go for it. as a 24 year old who has never played, it seems slightly overwhelming with information at first, but i always feel like this with any game. im genuinely really excited at the idea of maxing all my skills to 99. any beginning advice for me, would go such a long way, thank you in advance :)

But what you should do for slayer is go complete tasks with a beginner master like Turael or Spria. Mazchna is an option who will earn points, for slightly longer tasks. When you complete your 49th task, get your 50th task from Konar over at Mt. Karuulm. You will get an abundance of points that you can use to set up a block list at Nieve and extend good tasks.

My next goal is quest cape (again)+some diaries+inferno. (I assume inferno is doable since colo was a 3 day chore)

Buy: Ayak, conflict, lightbearer, ward, (Arcane sigil?), rancour
Work on: quest cape>diary reqs>inferno

Yeah, its more like low intensity vs afk. AFK = i can tab out/not pay attention at all. Low intensity = I need it still on the screen/2nd monitor but its relatively chill

If you're just trying to do the quest early, you can just do it in a dragon scimitar, even though it's a lot slower

The important things to keep in mind for moons:
1- You can make free food and potions in the area. They are better than foods and potions you can bring from outside.
2- Defensive stats are really good here, and often than offensive stats. Bring tanky gear
3- Protection prayers don't do anything for the fights
