Also FYI Jagex, last week when the PVP world/LMS/BH rota didn't change, the PVP Arena rotation DID change.
The newsposts both last week and this week are incorrect. Last week it used Max/Med, this week it's Zerker.
This is caused by the minimap plugin in RuneLite, not jagex
Runelite issue, devs are aware and a pull request for a fix has been approved as far as I can see
With the rune pouch update, it would be really nice if we could A) hide the names (or hide them unless editing if that setup is unnamed, perhaps?) and B) have some more generic names, for example Arceuus 1 and Arceuus 2 (for with/without aether runes)

As-is, I'm leaving most/all of my setups unnamed because it's faster to read the runes than an inaccurate name, and that means I can see one fewer setup without scrolling, which is a bummer.
I do like having 10 possible setups now though

Minimap plugin on Runelite is causing issues, disabling shows the menu on right click so you can reset the size then enable Minimap plugin again

Oh it automatically calls the pet when using the ring now? Didn’t realize it did that completely automatically now. Using rings elsewhere doesn’t have this problem. Or other teleports. Just PoH ring that I’ve noticed. Super glad they added automatic whistling and fixed the butler going on the trip with us.

the guaranteed splinters as is though
are like less than 5% of the expected spinters from a full run, even less if you're trading in quivers
So they're like nothing, just exist for bots to farm and drive splinters into the ground
In a world in which you couldn't bless Quiver (like Jagex intended), having a guaranteed farm is not a bad idea to make quiver more usuable

There's another bug when trying to turael skip a boss task now, you get a prompt saying you aren't supposed to have it, would you like to cancel it, and then if you say no, she says good luck and then gives you a turael task
Okay, gotta say it, I was MASSIVELY a fan of expanded rune pouch layouts, but please either let us custom-name them, or if that's technically problematic at least provide a more extensive list of names, or ideally a toggle to hide the name boxes if we want to.
It's definitely a positive step, but the new interface as it is right now feels clunky and not really giving the qol this update seems to have been aimed for. The lack of very obvious basic setup names like 'Thralls', 'Runecrafting' (or 'Guardians of the Rift'), 'Farming', etc, is... a surprising oversight.
Rune pouch update is honestly 3 steps forward 2 steps back. Would love to hide the names since like one of them is relevant across my 6 or 7 saved setups and they take up a whole row of room between the 3 displayed
Definitely agreed. If I may, my personal suggestion would probably be to keep the expanded number of loadouts but just disable/hide the naming option for now, if that's easy to do. (Or ideally put this as a toggle in settings)
As I'm guessing there's a technical reason why we're not able to just custom-name them?

Like it hides it but the orbs are in bad places and the compass "Look" feature doesn't go away when hidden. Also, why cant we hide individual orbs? The xp and map button are annoying but I don't want to hide HP and prayer with them lol.

I don't even agree that it's a positive step, previously there were 4 loadouts that were accessible and easy to switch to, now it's 2 (3 if you want to argue that cut off one is accessible, which I don't agree with). Even leaving aside the inability to create custom names for loadouts (I'm willing to accept that as a technical limitation) the impetus behind the update was good, but the implementation has such a bad UX that I vastly preferred the rune pouch before.

It actually happens in vanilla when the search is open. The runelite plugin just happens to open the search by default (Nevermind I thought this was about fairy ring scrolling not minimap)

I believe splinters are a nice way to keep the colosseum profitable and relevant after CAs for many people but I think the real problem lies on how useless the uniques are
Ralos niche not very useful at all, very slow to main hand
The Echo boots are really slow recoil and sometimes even worst than a ring of recoil
Sunfire armour literally only use for a Yama contract recently otherwise nobody use it for what it is

Using the numbers for global delve completions Gnomonkey showed in his video, I calculated how many drops are expected from each delve.
I estimated about 67,207 total cloths, of which 6155 and 6934 come from delve 2 and 3, respectively.
20% or so coming from such low waves does seeem to support Gnomonkey's argument that they drop too early, IMO.

i remember talking to draco centuries ago about my extremely elaborate boss concept, having a unique drop "similar" to eye of ayak
mainly in the sense that its a 3t mage weapon which can drain magic defence bonus

you also need to complete 4 of the 12 available combat achievements to use the unique
which means you will have a minimum of 25 kc on the boss if you did all the "easiest in terms of rating" tasks

and the 4th unique, the rarest of the list, requires you to have completed every combat achievement to use
of which the hardest in the list is itself harder than like 99.9% of clue steps i personally hand out

Rune Pouch update is fantastic, but would be nice for any spell loadout to just say the name without the PvP at the front
Possibly also offer some generic names like 'Ancients 1', 'Ancient 2', 'Lunar 1', etc

Forreal, when i read that we'd be able to name loadouts on the rune pouch i expected to custom type a loadout name... none of the options fit the purpose of my #1 rune loadout except maybe skilling, and even then not really because its just law runes and combo runes for generic teleporting purposes.
Also, if they dont want to make loadout names customizable i'd rather see a toggle to just disable the name bar, cuz without a custom name i feel like its just in the way and makes the interface too convoluted.

i hate to say it but this isn't really a "show people and see what they think" issue
although that probably would've helped but too many people in that building play osrs

#2 we probably dont need the banner informing everyone that what follows is a loadout
#3 naming them would be cool but if its not going to be compact and waste that much space just cut it because its wasting space

you could probably make it clear what's currently in the rune pouch by having those runes at the top sized a bit differently and just change the part that says "rune pouch" to currently equipped or something along those lines
im not really sure what they can easily do though so maybe a lot of that is some sort of technical limitation

That's the Runelite plugin "minimap" causing your issue
that would require a pretty big rewrite of how rune pouch loadouts work though, ain't no way you'd be able to click the correct rune icon every time to set up the loadout when they're that tiny (especially on mobile) so they'd have to change how making the loadouts works
and making names not visible immediately would take away from the whole point of the names existing, which is to make it easier to quickly identify the right loadout
instead of scrolling through, seeing the name and being like "yep that's the one" you'd have to scroll through, right click or long tap or whatever just to make sure that you're looking at the right one
does anyone know if with the upcoming gridmaster event they will use completely blank profiles or will use same setup as leagues allowing us to show our leagues pets (and hunt for more pets on our leagues profiles)?

No game update next week is completely unacceptable, you cannot leave the rune pouch in this state for 2 weeks. This is the worst UX of any update I can think of, worse than any OG interface that got reworked. Revert the change if you have to and implement the interface rework later.

I don't hate the names for loadouts, but I do think it is way too clunky as is, not really sure why we have to choose from a list rather than just typing one ourselves
nah rune pouch clears for sure. Pot storage interface isn't good, but as long as you aren't trying to switch between withdrawing 1 dose potions and 4 dose potions constantly, and can tolerate being forced into alphabetical order, it's perfectly functional. The new rune pouch interface is so much worse, it lost functionality for the sake of a terribly implemented labeling feature

no but I can go look for one. but you can test it really easily, pick a loadout with a potion, put every potion of that type in your pot storage, then release the placeholder in your regular bank, and when you go back to the loadout it should be pulling from pot storage automatically

Apparently the process is a little more involved when using tag tabs directly, but here's how to do it manually. I use the Inventory Setups plugin to keep track of my loadouts and that plugin automatically makes tag tabs that work with the potion storage, could also give that a try

given how many diary rewards work where they scale, ex: going from 1 -> 3 -> 5 -> infinite on teleports, it wouldn't make sense to be able to get the rewards of a higher tier while skipping the earlier tiers
the problem with the secret stuff is
there's certainly ways to change it so those progressive rewards are tied to the amount of tiers in a diary completed rather than tied to each specific tier but changing it is only to the benefit of restricted accounts complaining about their self-imposed restrictions

The moonkey teeth drop rate from frost crab was updated to 1/1354 in septembre 10 update. I call BS. I have 2400 kill so far and 0 moon key. Thats crazy
I engage with it as required to get stuff on my iron but despise every moment of it

Slayer’s biggest problem is that it doesn’t even really seem like a skill but more like a minigame or one specific training method of a skill

You’re not even 2x rate
On top of that, even with block lists and task storage, you still have very little control over how you actually engage with Slayer
Tell me a number of kills where you would be concern about the drop rate
Anyway beside the issue of gatekeeping bosses behind tasks, you also have the factor that the process of getting a new task means that you feel forced to do any task you still need stuff from, even if you don’t remotely want to do that task at this time.
My average Hydra task took me like 3 months when going for claw because of how atrociously soul-crushingly boring Hydra is
and worse your slayer level has far less contribution to xp/hr than gear and combats
Even after they made Task Storage viable to use, that just meant I could do slayer for like idk a few hours until I now had two hydra tasks stored
Also barraging just isn’t really a fun gameplay loop and going for xp or heart at anywhere near a reasonable rate essentially requires it since 95% of slayer tasks are completely garbage that I wouldn’t touch with a 90 foot pole
if the most efficient way to train the skill is to have 2 alts stack mobs for you to afk attack you know theres an issue
Adding on top of these issues, we also see that the highest-tier slayer master (Duradel) assigns a ton of useless things with no slayer level req (like Kalphites and trolls) and literally doesn’t even assign the highest-level slayer master (hydras)
Overall in general the task-hunting system in general as the only way of engaging with slayer just sucks

slayer needs another fundamental training method besides tasks

I think the right way, as usual, would be the middle way. Old spinning was too slow, now it's too fast (visually). Slow speed back down a notch to be between the old and the new, and I think it'd be pretty good 🙂

The fill x with cannon is bugged. It loads how many you have selected but only fires when you click fire - which loads the Max amount... The load x only works if the cannon is already firing and doesn't if it's stopped 😂

Yea but tithe patch doesn't allow any option.... let me plant the "seed" your in a mini game and you have to either use maple log or yew. But you just press the button if you have multiple options you get promoted those options. If not then you use yew. (The new totem pole mini game.) If I have one I should be allowed to click the one. If they wanted to further build on this then again if planting a seed give a option to plant higher first than lower. We already do this mechanic in so many other options it weather prompted or not. Next time run to a tree with both rune and dragon and it automatically uses the best option.

not sure I understand the question, but the benefits earned in gridmaster worlds will not be transferred to main worlds, the only thing you will be able to get in main game are the cosmetics

there may still be a discount avail for rs3 leagues, might want to look into that since it's all the same membership anyways

Yes and no. Votes still superceed redditors the majority of the time, but they do walk back some things fom garbage reddit takes that we could do without
You're also forgetting the fact that this game isn't just nostalgia bait anymore, a huge chunk of the playerbase, maybe even the majority, never played RS so it's new content to them.
Even more reason not to copy names, designs, and content from RS2/3
Moons bad is quite the take
Moons is probably the single worst PvM content in the entire game

I think TDs are great content and so are their rewards and gameplay changes with the demonbane, along with V2 & 3, and moons. Mixology is not bad but not great and the quest lore felt sparse but impactful

There is a big difference between "viable" and "faster". Bosses/raids dropping something that is really good for that encounter is not inherently bad.

With barrows you're killing "bosses" that individually have lesser or equal complexity to a green dragon.
You run, dig, click, wait. It's not bad, but not completely fun. Almost everything in this game has an element of downtime (we won't talk about doom, or levi having auto respawn tho...)
And somehow more involved than moons

I mean you are entitled to your opinion i just dont think you represent the majority. Maybe in the case of moons, most long term or higher end players dont enjoy that place but ive seen plenty of new and casual players enjoy it too. Gear wise, power creep at every level of the game is inevitable. You can argue they went too far with this one and while i dont agree, i respect that
WGS is maybe bad if you are really into lore like you are but lets be honest thats not a ton of people and gameplay wise that quest was very good. Not too much of an opinion on that one honestly but ive not seen widespread hate in here or on reddit
TDs is probably the one where you are most out of touch imo, i have literally seen nothing but universal hatred for gorillas. TDs have more interesting mechanics, reward bringing different weapons, punish, have cool CAs, drop very useful gear and most importantly you dont need to 6 way switch every 3 seconds which is where the general loathing of gorillas comes from. Like in every conversation i see about those there is one person enjoying gorillas out of 20. @chrome lantern
In the end its fine to stand up for your opinions so continue doing so, it just sometimes comes off a bit too ranty and unproductive
On the topic of the slayer votes, someone said that probably a lot of people dont even get nostalgia baited because they didnt even see those in rs2/rs3, as one of those people i didnt see a reason to vote no there? Is there something objectively wrong about them i missed?
I mean etube is def in the minority but he has valid critiques on stuff. They really should stop porting stuff and kinds rack their brains a bit and introduce new original content
Tds is also a slog but drops some insane weapon upgrades. One benefit of TDS is the access you get to other bosses once you get a synapse, but that makes me question the progression order
I mean is it fair to call it backporting? Bosses are completely different, slayer mobs seem to have different mechanics and drops from what ive seen, quests are completely rewritten etc? If you dont like them using the name for nostalgia bait fair enough but the backporting argument doesnt really hit if its nothing like the original to begin with
Another good thing, if people choose to do so (they won’t), is to actually practice switching at tds. It’s long hp threshold, even in max, allows you to do a minimum of 3 hits before switching overheads
