Looking at the calc, the normal is like 470k if you're just doing 1-8 and leaving (https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Doom_of_Mokhaiotl#Depth_Loot_Mechanics), which is decent regular loot for <15 min.
Edit: for reference, the amount from the uniques loot is another 3m

Was a prime boss to throw dragon arrows on for once. i wouldnt mind grinding this for arrows. its high focus and everytime you open the hole to not unique or go till you claim, your depressed with the outcome, your better off going till you die as your not realy risking anything to delve deeper.

One change I think they should make, now that the eye kills blue larvae
unlike colo which shows you what your risking to go next wave
The Eye should also reset charge on shield phase, like demonbane spells currently do
and often your risking a fair bit in colo to go next wave
I want the d arrows, currently the are beyond unsustainable if you are not a main, and even in a main is mad expensive to use them
Just like the blood rune problem, they will have to address the dragon arrow problem sooner or later

The thing is, there is a hidden roll on the unique table vs the regular loot which is a hit or miss

You can account for the effective probability of stuff, accounting for pre-rolls, and just determine the actual probability of each drop

Yeah the game only saves your character state every 15min or so and when you log out. If the server crashes your character is reverted to the autosave as much as 15 min ago.
Interestingly server crashes are involved in several bugs that can be very difficult to patch
when you guys did artio/callisto, did you trouver parchment ur rune pouch and use runes, or used ice packs? im using ice packs and i feel like i gotta do LMS every few hours to stock up lol

The way is wildy slayer (slay caves aswell) and doing artio/callisto on bear tasks too. Wildy caves will give you lots of ice sacks
Or just bring like 1-200 casts of ice barrage, so youâre not losing much if you die
Ice sacks are better if you can buy them to save space, but if youâre iron and donât have a bunch saved up from other wildy content, just runes are fine

As a baby Scaper who started RS3 in like 2021, I thought the animations for abilities were super cool. I tried OSRS in 2024 and I kinda like the simpler but more involved combat system.
EoC still is super entertaining to play with when I play 3 though, itâs fun to watch my character obliterate abyssal demons with dragon breath
I think the only thing I miss from Rs3 is dungeoneering
would not be surprised if we got daimonheim as a raid or a minigame at some point
Iâll never be a master of either gameâs combat system, but my review is: OS combat is more focused on APM (gear swaps, prayer flicks, attacks, and movement all at the same time). RS3 combat is more about practicing the order you use abilities in and managing spec energy for defensive and offensive abilities.

Oof, Melee grubs following Doom around during car phase and not despawning makes this a lot less fun

Also, pretty big nerf - your spec regen cycle seems to resets entirely in between waves.
If you kill the boss right before you're about to get 10 spec energy, you don't get it back right away at the start of the next wave.
It's not paused between waves; just resets.

I generally kill as the orb is moving or before earthquakes. Worst case I've seen is 3 orbs at wave 8

If you're 80% towards the next spec energy regen, the next wave should begin at that 80% mark, not 0% 
A buffer would make RL not instantly desynch too

Im sure you can still have 75 spec for zcb once per level and still skip as many mechanics as before

when doom starts one of the charge attacks, is there a way to instantly know which charge attack it is? I have him tagged blue during shield phase but the tag doesnt appear for like 2 or 3 ticks
Prayers over his head is punish, otherwise itâs shield
except when it isnt. I've had a few times where doom trolled me with the prayers then he just turned it off into shield phase 
Yeah at this point on 8+ I just started accepting near 0 damage and always hitting the charge with darklight

Ya i believe i have pinpointed this issue, it looks to me if the boss goes below 20 or 25% after orb phase he will then transition into a grub shield.
His mechanics look to be 75% - grub shield - car - orb - 25% grub shield and the error occurs due to extremely dps.
where you go 75-grub shield - kill during car = no 25% and a skip
75-grub shield - bad dps car - kill before orb = no 25% and a skip
75 - grub shield - bad dps car - bad dps orb - next special in to rotation is melee punish and boss is below 25% - does a grub shield instead.
Because its possible to skip this 25% grub sheild, but its not possible to skip over the orb phase
in my mind the boss encounter was meant to go.
75% - grub - car - orb - melee punish - 25% grub - dead with potential melee punish to help clear poison.
However our dps in car an orb is just demolishing the boss and he is dying before doing half his phases.
The weird thing to me is just that thereâs no case where youâll ever get a melee punish at the end of the kill, is there?
orb also might be happening on a 1 minute timer
Like if it just instantly converts to a shield
but its paused due to car in later waves
correct, currently after wave 5, he is converting every melee punish after car/orb into another grub shield
So like the holy water doesnât really do anything because low waves barely have acid and damage

Kill during burrow is pretty rng to begin with
regen to 90-100 spec, pre-death charge (still allowed) and wait until 30s left.
ZCB at the start, scobow without rigour to NOT proc it, kill the triple grubs if they spawn, wait for boulders, then tbow or melee punish to proc shield phase, death charge again and shield phase for 100 spec, zcb at start of car phase, bow + max drag for extra 3-4 bow shots.
I see so many people do min distance drags with car phase and it's frustrating

on wave 5 i bait into the corner an then aim it down middle in a diag, but later waves i just do the rock tech.

were you bait it on the rock
set up proc on north or east, whichever is clear, for first shockwave
then mid-distance drag to the corner for second shockwave.
then max-distance drag it along the wall OR diagonal back to middle.
you pre-place a rock an bait the car onto that and then first slam is nulled, then you can bait it anywhere else in the room and have plenty of rocks
My aim was to end place it middle and also get the long dash

GM times been power creeped hard, i got some crazy times just with rng smacking the bosses with new gear.
i remember resetting vorkath to get the GM time and it was a struggle, then i did a few kills with burning claws and some rng on lance and i got like 32 second kill lol

when I did CAs on my main long ago
the shorter the encounter, the more susceptible it is to just rng or hitting hard

it was 43 seconds but i just killed it naturally with lance an burning claws
but i remember trying to get the GM for vorakth pre-claws and it as fucking so ass
I started my iron just weeks before DMing got banned

You bring a fuckload of brews, full melee switch for punish, and that's basically it
okay so, despite some of the hiccups, I actually really like the QOL changes today 
especially the yellow colored hole when unique
BUT, there's a lot of visual/audio cue issues:

the damage splat sounds get overrided by shield phase proc.

even though there's no sound or damage indicator on you, and shield phase looks like it negates mid-air projectiles, you still get hit if you don't flick.
oh right yeah the hits from exploding rocks act like they damage you when they arent actually

okay so this is an issue on 8 where the second boulder doens't get nulled 
but the first actually gets nulled

Yeah it can only be charged with one or the other, so it won't generate more runes but it will generate more tears
Just watched a Delve streamer now:
- Ancient godsword will heal you during shield phase even though it hits 0
- Car phase bug is back, you can place the boss on the old middle tile and he won't smash any rocks

In the higher delves you experience the bugs
If you use the Custom Menu Swaps plugin in the plugin hub you can also customize hotkeys for withdrawing certain quantities, and pretty much set up any swap you want on any hotkey you want
I ran 3 runs to wave 10 last night and didnât notice any bugs
i hope you know you only need to click on the boss once, its crazy it took you a billion seconds to realize you were yellow clicking
