Suppose it depends on your other relic choices and which grinds you don't want to deal with the most. I went larc and it made money, thieving, smithing, and crafting super easy, and can provide you a ton of mats for a couple other skills if you don't have solves for them, like the ore stall if you don't have Tir for the easy 50m smithing.
I reloaded into accord and the farm grind was insanely trivial, I'll likely be taking farm to 200m, and provided everything neceesary to make herblore honestly not that bad of a click grind, I did super def/str/atk in rotation, sometimes super combat, sometimes running the antidote chain, but overall it was not nearly as miserable as the RC grind with no soul harvest, or w/e area gives access to repair essence pouches through Dark Mage. Had I been able to continually use the same pouches at max cap I wouldn't have hated RC near as much I think.
The fairy mushroom has also been a massive blessing for pretty much everything. The amount of destinations it provides, at least with my region choices, has made getting around between various tasks very easy. I also have finish qetz whistle and evil eye charm, and I'm pretty sure I've used the mushroom the most for traveling.
5th tier is the hardest to choose from IMO cause they're all so good. If there was some way to reload a second time I'd have had all 3 tier 5.

I had the same issue, he has to actually take damage for it to start, and I guess he just has really high magic def so it's mostly 0s from spell/staff hits. It would be nice if 0 hits activated him, but it can also be nice to just farm him for overheals while he is stationary if you're not particularly good at the fight/are taking a lot of damage each round.

just pay attention and listen to what your teammates tell you to do and you'll be alright
id recommend doing a solo run on entry mode first if your build is good enough for that because itll at least teach you the absolute groundfloor basics of the raid
