11 points for ice barrage and you can just heal forever
how does ibans staff work? same as any fire spell?
Iban's is typeless
It scales with magic level like a powered staff
ye, "fire spell" or "earth spell" is specific, and stuff like undead grasp don't count for fire, but will get damage bonus for regenerating fire runes
I'm going for the KBD crossbow, I'm sure it's not as strong as the funny high attack speed stuff but big splats and overheals sounds fun
idc if they put 10k points locked behind Hallowed Sepulchre I'm not goin back in there
so how does the work for rune generation?
i think the KBD crossbow is actually fully competetive with the mage damages
on top of healing you
it generates 5 fire runes but doesn't benefit from any pact that specifies a "fire spell"
Same as any other combat spell. Rune regen isn't tied to elements
^
It doesnt
It should? Iban's isn't a powered staff
Since ibans staff is charged at well and not with runes it will not regen anything
it's still a spell (iban blast) that costs 5 fire runes, casting it will regen 5 or 10 runes at a time, boosting the damage
It's a spell
it does cast runes lol
You only generate what is being used
its like a platypus of staffs
yes, and you use runes to cast iban blast
You need to cast iban's blast which does use runes
Iban's will regen runes but it won't benefit from the demonic pacts requiring to cast a fire spell
It's a pretty weird quirk where it's effectively a powered staff but it functions as a combat spell
Yeh
iban staff is like ahrim staff (although not functionally identical) where the staff needs to be charged/repaired to function, but it's completely disconnected from the actual spell you choose to cast
you could technically autocast fire surge with an iban staff if you wanted to
I dont recall it using a spell
i don't know why you would
it's a regular staff that uses charges but it's not a power staff, iban blast is still a spell that consumes runes, so you get the fire regen bonus but none of the "fire spell" nodes, and you dont get the power staff nodes: so you want autocast speed
Its a real pos
like how slayer dart is a spell that requires you be holding slayer staff to cast
lol
All I need to know now is whether the ice bolt with ice=water perk will benefit from water weakness, would be neat for Zuk and Yama
that too
i would say yes? it's stated that it counts as an ice spell, and if you have ice=water, should be good to go
are there any mage offhands that don't require kandarin or fremmy...?
uhh, arcane ss, ward
arcane spirit shield, fortified ward
Yes tomes
oh right tomes exist kek
tome of earth is in varlamore
does not on wiki dps calc currently but might be something they will change tomorrow
lots of choices
antler guard is also technically in varlamore
so wildy, desert, zeah, varlamore all get you a decent one
i'm just looking for a hypothetical to check against the devil's element/quadrant combo
Fremmy gets u access to holy books
Nothing will compare
mory+wildy gets you harm staff+arcane ss
Using spellbook spells
well... it gets you it after nightmare and corp make you frustrated for hours on end
Has anyone seen any clarification on how the fang of the hound will be treated on Tek and Olm hand. My presumption since it says "cast" will treat it like magic.
I wanted to get harm staff but the faster attack speed doesnt account for the extra hit of quadflame staff
the passive trigger is a spell and therefore benfits from the fire spell nodes, but just swinging is melee yea
magic damage will deal full damage on mage hand, melee damage will deal full damage on melee hand. only 33% effective on the opposite hand
the trigger is 100% on spec, so you should be able to spec spam with it on the mage only parts
Basic math. Taking magic down from 3 tick to 2 is a 33% increase in dps. The 40% after attack alone is more dps. They both possess a 15% magic damage bonus
Alright ty, I'll check there later again then, and same for enchanted bolts, assuming those will work fine
hum
you also need progression to get there though
my setup with assumed bis for mage in WKZ is virtus, occult, echo drops, conflic, suffering, and treads - deals 21.7 dps to zuk with water surge
if you swap to accursed (a) and antler guard instead, that drops to 11.4 dps
everything you cast suddenly counts as if the mob was weak to it, and it guarantees a 30% weakness minimum with element
Wait a second that means the 2nd hit if quad flame also procs healing trigger?
which is fine for inferno and i guess the healing is still enormous but not what i call "steamrolling"
The 60%?
yea since it's a hit
Thats so broken
the second hit on shadowflame does not apply anything that says "when you cast" since you dont cast it
but it's a hitsplat?
188 hp healing 30-50hp per cast on average
should count
yeah you just get 60% of your water mage dps as healing on top of 10 per water surge regen
Thanks, sadly that's what I presumed đ
I think I will stick to Kandarin-Prif-Mory in that order. I can get a couple extra pacts for when I do CG. Will make him a bit easier.
U going mage?
ye I was gunna powered staff him to death
Nice im going full waterboy mage
Going air mage personally, it's too cracked.
why not do both
KTM should be a really nice powertank setup
why not?
You can invest in the water node for free to path to your elemental tick node, I won't invest in the water.
After I butcher CG and Echo CG into submission enough I plan to switch over to either air mage or water mage
alright fellas
for those among us not picking abundance, what are some ideas for very early gold? Like, in the first few minutes. I don't need a lot, only like 2k
I'm going to prob go flask at take advantage of the 6s effective CD drain rate when slinging constant 50dps
I don't think I'll water often.
Find someone who picked abundance and mug him

thieving probably?
Fish for 10 minutes with endless harvest and then sell to gen store
Since you are always hitting max, the floor on the calculation for CD reduction doesn't matter if you keep your max divisible by 10
To think there are people out there who dont care about fun and will get dragoncup in like 6 days lol
Crazy
the thieving relic is very late this league
Yeah but it will still help a lot
Skilling and money solves
oh yeah absolutely, but it's not a minute one infinite money trick like it has been in previous leagues
EH or Barb are coolest imo, not sure which I do, but one of those. Leaning barb.
there is a fishing shop, could sell raw to it
I'm taking it for no fail on chest at theving. I'm taking Barb so I don't have to pick up axe at Ice.
the barb strat for money might just be to sweat out mining but that's so boring
U can just get EH and fremmy and do barb fishing that will surpass barb relic
i mean, get enough money and crafting to do 1 sapphire
and then just sit at gem guy
Thats true
So Kandarin is a bad region to select im hearing
Im picking fremmy maybe
For what melee?
not great for melee unless you want tank thorn build
Ye melee
for the love of the game and by the game i mean torture of your qpw
I think I got everything other than Agil solved, but I am sure agil will figure itself out eventually
yea if you aren't going thorns i'd skip kandarin
U not picking hotfoot!
What route is best for melee
i genuinely can't see a reason to do fremmy unless you really really really like suffering at echo dags
that shit was so bad
very much depends on what kind of melee
Plenty of reasons
I was strongly tempted to but I decided on woodsman
woodsman seems the safe option ,especially if you go BG anyway
but for EH, probably a fair toss-up
Vs helm/magus ring/virtus/vorkath for wrath talisman and wrath runes
Blindbag prob
mory for sure, asgarnia maybe
magus ring and V's helm are the only ones of that are not available in kandarin
I like woodman personally for speed.
asgarnia gets you relatively easy blindbag weapons with the godswords
you can buy a wrath talisman in east ardy during leagues, and virtus is available from vardo in varlamore
Im already going kanderin
Not going melee
vardo is NOT immune to mage
I don't see blind bag as very competitive dps wise, it's also one of the hardest builds to get fully complete.
I chose EH for BG simply because I can stay online for many hours while multi-tasking other things. Then go do thing I like when I am fully commited for the 3 or so hours I can play during the day.
True
Rly nowâŚ
is it going to suck? yeah probably
am i going to facetank with water? absolutely
over BG not for BG
he is very technically weak to fire, for some stupid reason
Good thing im going high acc water mage build
What melee is competitive buildwise
With confliction gauntlets
I'm thinking asg last region, get fang of the hound and the giant prayer.
if not going wildy what cloak should I get for mage
just looking at dps? dogger is honestly not bad
ardy 4
just because you get it 2tick
Ardy elite cape 4
ty
Has magic stats and other stuff
and speed wins most things
Yes
It's the most efficient use of points if you're going mage and want to dip melee
yea, slight bonus to magic
Ooh I just realized
You can get pretty good dps from the 1kg path with minimal invest
+6 mage attack and +6 prayer, infernal is a little bit of everything, max cape is a little more defenses and +4 prayer
ye, really good weapon for minimal investment
Yeee
The earth regen pact doesn't actually work if I'm already boosted beyond 20% defense, does it?
it keeps it sustained
Ardy cape > ma2 for specifically air mages
it does
Whats a good starter dagger to get i feel like 2 tick dagger is sort of meh still i remember 2 tick 2Hs a few leagues ago that felt good
the +defense nodes on tree will negate any potion, the earth regen boost however, will work and will also count in the boosted level for that 20%
I should maybe just go ranged
Oh huh
obby dagger
Ok I am like really bad at bosses (plan to get better someday but I am on year 22 so not sure when) but if you do the air thing, wonât your defense be shit?
Who drops obby dagger
I wil admit fremmy doesnt have any content i want to do but man idk what other region to get lol
Oo rite
i think that one
toktz-xil-ek
so if you have all the defense pacts and max def you will have 159, the earth pact will base off that 159 rather than 99
obby dagger with the obby set fucks
yea xil
yeah you gotta grab the water capstone too and throw out water spells to heal up. They should heal you like 30 a pop
Yes, your defenses will be shit, but some as main game. Your defenses don't matter, just kill the boss.
Dps is king
Ok so heal and kill fast? That makes sense
yea, that's what the mod said at least
lemme find that
55 dps on zuk or w/e
ya I was telling him that since he asked
That's good to know
the thing is, osrs is a game where 99% of the time damage is avoidable
Kill before healing matters. Take flask if things get spooky. Your dps will charge it fast. If you're like really bad. Conside the water xbow build, insane overheal.
I guess ill be doing a lot of planning Tuesday
So obby dagger and then whats next dagger route to go after
Yeah really bad is an understatement lol
Tent whip is your best non-spec 1kg weapon outside of dagger. Don't have the spec calcs because dagger spec calcs don't work. If dagger isn't your best spec, claws or abby dagger will be.
Hoping to use leagues to get better sense of how to do it
even in main-game with no pacts, there's a lot of content where having the right gear and setup to do a lot of damage very fast can make even some of the most dangerous content in the game MUCH safer and easier, because dead bosses can't kill you
Wildy xbow water hybrid. Like 180 overheal, okay dps. You can live a a hit from pretty much anything in the game. Prob half the dps of air mage, but it will be hard af to die.
like, there's a simulator for doing last row of warden in toa (the last 20% of the boss) and the difference between maxed mage warden and bofa range warden is the difference between finishing the phase in 30 seconds, versus having to dance around avoiding all damage for over a minute
now i can't find where i read that, it does 100% stack, assume 178 max for now i guess
Ya I am 99% sure a mod confirmed it worked that way.
Do your best to force yourself to do the mechanics, it's very easy to muscle through and ignore things in leagues. Treat it as a cushion not a crutch â¤ď¸
Is air mage highest dps
very likely
by a country mile on true weaknesses (natural ele weakness) beats or competes with the rest of the pact on all but damage reduction and giga mage tank
okay dps? that shit does like 40+ dps
90-100% chance to be constantly hitting 100+ at 3tick is pretty wild
Whats a good air mage route from starting area to midgamish is it literally just build to air blast
Against specifically water weak things or the rest of the field as well? Happy to look at your calc đ
crossbow is up there too, just at a slower pace, but with very high chance to be spitting out ranged echoes
I haven't seen 40 dps on xbow outside of water weak things. Kandi echoes let's air mage apply it's damage to more targets because of the heat seeking of the staff and the applied addative elemental. 0
Depends on your focus I guess, but I'm looking for consistent dps throughout. Not peak on a small segment of bosses.
Hey sorry idk if this should be in faq - Does anyone know if we will be able to recruit during leagues and if so where will we find the banner now that ge is gone? in varlamore?
recruit?
oh clan thing
i assume you mean clan thing at least, dunno, i'd hope they would just put that in the starter yama lair thing i guess
https://dps.osrs.wiki?id=EcumenicalCriminalsIsle
loadout 3. Dps is slightly inflated because the calc assumes the 38% water dmg also applies to the echo dps, but it shouldnt. Multiply by 0.95 or so to compensate
the only thing I'm still not set on is my T2 relic
I keep flipflopping between hotfoot and forager's pouch
hotfoot solves more problems but forager's pouch solves a much bigger problem
I'm not going woodsman
sad
it doesn't solve anything for me
yeah clan recruiting
i wasnt sure if theyve announced anything
yea numbers slightly inflated because of the water thing, so about 40, oh i had that on cerb lol
legitimately all woodsman would do for me after the first day is cut maybe 4 hours of hunter training
I don't really wanna do forager's because I wanna solve herblore through farming (and was gonna in turn solve farming with thieving but eeeeh lol)
transmutation + endless harvest is free firemaking xp
kandarin is free fletching xp
the water weakness doesn't seem to be changing much as i swap monsters out
nearly 40 on corp
Not sure about HF, mostly because transmutation doesn't work with bars
HF?
hotfoot
o
for me it's a problem of Hotfoot making cooking & agility a bit easier vs Forager making herblore a lot easier
Okay I do see your calc is presuming 188 throughout.
hf would be pretty good with EH or BG for that, EH probably benefits more if you use it on addy or mith since the chance to mine is higher
I understand it will be fairly achievable, but it does presume that's always true.
kandarin
.. that does mean you have a really good course for hotfoot hmm
you going butlers bell or transmute?
well if you're fighting something that is hitting you pretty constantly that's definitely gonig to be lower to 99ish
Not that missing is likely, I see your accuracy is nuts, but also doesn't 100% consider overkill dps
I've got access to both seers and ardy rooftops
which, while hotfoot woult synergize with those, I could also just do them without hotfoot
butler bell makes herblore training free, but doesnt solve getting actual useful potions for pvm on certain builds
transmute
for me I don't need any pots for pvm really, as a mager
yeh
Agree. I'm more saying these are best case scenario calcs and will have lower real world dps
Transmuting seeds is pretty neat too
there any specific use cases of transmute you have in mind?
sure, but even assuming a lower standard life, it's 35+
that makes you set on it?
i think the biggest thing transmute solves is access to wrath runes, and money
(and doing shades of mortton if you want to)
Butler seems like a good long term choice
I'm prob gunna do transmute because cool
yeah def wont be 100% of the time, but with around 10 healing/sec, itll be pretty damn close to 100% of the time
firemaking, smithing, cooking, farming, construction
for the smithing you're still actually smelting the ores
unless you're going fremmy and are planning on turning clay into gold
I can turn the heaps of resources from endless harvest into high tier / high xp variants
abundance > woodsman > alacrity > butlers > larceny is my plan. To me this seems like the most accelerated points approach
going flow state later?
not trying to max and 'solve' every skill
I am
i might be, undecided yet
or just gonna deal with mining-fish-wc as a normal thing
honestly they're not bad to just do normally
its either reload into grimoire for like 3-4% more dps lol, or flow state, or even reload into transmute? idk
Yea for sure. It's more like the start of raids, they won't have it, they will get it, then get some chip, then get it again, and likely have that 140-180 hp. If olm hates you though or you take avoidable damage as a special between the 4.2 seconds between attacks, it will be lower.
I think I'm gonna go forager
Mage you cast mage at freakishly consistent dps (you are always making) and click flask if things get spooky
yeh true. Though still 43 dps at 140hp
Your dps is consistent
What are you taking for T5?
yeah my endgame build is gonna be Sang staff camp, 1t baby. But early game im going full ranged Kings barrage
am sad you don't get 10x loot from chests
I give it, better than decent. I'm wrong there.
Wildy start, spec crossbow stuff then water stuff, hunter crossbow > ruen crossbow > kb
but larcenist is still just very solid overall, even if not tir/mory
and then respec to powered staves when it makes sense to gear/pact point unlock wise
So, without Forager, I think your best herb solve is transmuting seeds from AFK master farmers, which is going to be kind of annoying imo
Want to know how you feel but I think water region on powered staves is a trap node
crossbow is genuinely tempting to start out with
moonlight is so good with guaranteed maxhits :/
not quite sure what you mean
https://dps.osrs.wiki?id=SmokerJacketMachete
here's the build I have planned. Has thorns so add like 6 dps or so as a rough estimate
There are nodes that give you a rune when you generate charges allowing you to proc rune generation nodes with powered staves. I think some of those nodes are worth it.
seems a very solid sustain, plus that counts for the overheals
water one is absolutely worth it
insane regen for basically 1 point
fire is probably decent
frankly they're all a good choice, if you're full specing into defense, you want the earth one too
at minimum the water one is worthwhile though
I think you def need to take the water if you to take the fire
You're going to burn your hp away fast
the other nodes don't affect power staves
you can see my tree in the link
Oh my a apologies
it's only the base regen ones
so +1-2 damage, +1-2 hp, chance for 1-2 prayer, and consistently ramping defense bonus
maybe the 6% baited ya. Its just how the 1.15 flat dmg per cast works out, plus the 1% magic dmg travel node
ye, if you're going purely into powerstaff nodes you'll get the 1%'s, the "fire/air/water/earth spell" ones will just not do anything for you
also the gargoyle staff in theory should be higher dps than sang
multiply the number by 1.52x
as thats what the specs should add
since it's got the minimum hit?
but heres the math:
You do 5 normal attacks, each hit for 50% of your max hit on average, so 250% of your max hit dealt
Then you spec, and its guaranteed to do 130% of your max hit, instantly, without delaying your next attack
So youve done 380% of your max hit in 5 attacks.
380/250 = 1.52
same idea as sol spear last league
spec is instant but with attack delay
i know husky said that, but
i believe its likely he meant in terms of
it not being like a gmaul
i guess as long as its the normal weapons delay yea should be good
you cant dump 2 specs in 1 tick
but in the video of the staff, the character had 4t staff
?
and you see him attack before the animation of the 2nd spec even ends
yea i'm with you on the lithic
so the specs seemingly were not delaying his normal attack timer
Element, the thing that applies weakness
theres just a delay in terms of speccing, where you cant dump all specs in 1 tick
anyway, i could be wrong, maybe it does incur a 1t delay on your next attack, in which case the specs only provide 26% more dps
and its worse than sang
what do you mean is it basically the offhand though
ones staff, one's offhand, they've got different passives
they synergise crazily well
i'm not getting your question
I think even if the spec incurs normal delay the weapon would have, the utilty of it being typless aoe damage wins out, unless you just need the healing, but it's not like you can't just switch between
Anyone have a water build they can send? I just want to see what equipment I should be going for
especially if you're going MT+? for the set effect
gear depends on regions, but if you're going water, basically shadowflame+devils element, occult, and whatever mage gear you can put together
Thanks I will look all those up
those are all in kandarin, rest would depend on other 2 regions
well, it wins out when you need aoe, thats about it
eh, yea
it'd be awesome for slayer
thorns + garg staff slayer is gonna be sweet
I havenât picked any regions so lot of flexibility
anyway i am quite optimistic that theres no attack delay, it really does add 52% more dps, and therefore beats sang
if it doesnt, not the end of the world
virtus is available in a lot of places, kourend would have ancestral, morytania for ahrims, if you somehow are stuck with nothing but wildy for armor, dagon'hai is actually pretty good
7.5% dps vs 8.3% lifesteal
virtus is available to everyone
since its in varlamore already
oh right
i somehow am constantly forgetting that
well in that case, dagon'hai is still an earlier and easier to farm set
or at least elder chaos would be
so really the other 2 regions would be whatever combat activities you wanna be doing
since you're reasonably well covered no matter what
i wonder why conniving clues mentions charlie when charlie got yama'd
Any idea how Culling Spree will work with Zuk? Crossbow + Minion infernos might be a fun way to get some slayer exp
Ok sorry one more question. I do not understand how resets work for pacts.
aurgh
apparently 5 images is too many
anyway I figured out my gear progression from hour 1 - day 1 - week 1 - pre grinds - post grinds
There may not even be beginner clues considering there arenât any beginner clue locations in the two starting regions
there are beginner clues
you just won't get em unless you have asgarnia / desert unlocked
Sorry hadnât seen that anywhere
not entirely sure what the trigger for getting the respecs is (echo boss kill? area unlock? idk) but basically it'll wipe your pact board and give you all the points you've earned back
you can complete beginner clues in desert and asgarnia
you get +1 reset for each of your first 3 unique echo boss kills
no tasks for beginner clues though (still count to collection log task)
Oh cool so you can do like a mid game and a late game setup? Sick
if you want
so annoying that we arent getting more info about tasks and unlocks... hard to plan which combat style i start with
yes but we do not know how fast relics and areas unlock
ah fair
if we are stuck in varlamore/karamja for long time i might just not even do melee and go straight to crossbow build
really would want t4 relic before amoxliatl and rare drops
even if we're stuck in varlamore for a good bit, there's still a decent amount of options
eclipse for thrown would probably make for a really strong early slayer, blood moon for just general melee, anything'll make a 1h-thorn tank work, and mage this time around is probably viable no matter what you wanna use
and ofc the moonlight cbow yea
Yeah getting t4 before you start really farming bosses is a good idea. Save you a lotta time.
I suppose completely ignoring drop rate related things, 1h tank, crossbow or mage win that race
i was gonna do 2 handed melee start into thrown weapons (atlat) with barbarian gathering giving head start on str lvls
but depends on if i do early amoxliatl or not
side possibility, if you're going kandarin anyway, getting levels for paths of glouphrie and pushing some early slayer would get you a power staff very early, stat reqs for the quest are 40-50's, nothing hard
and just entering the region gets you all the quest reqs, so it'd be fast on getting into the area
How does the overheal pact work? could you eat a shark at 99 hp and it would overheal you as well?
cause the way it reads is unclear to me, cause having the pact itself active would make me think that you could just eat food, not just cast water spells
it only overheals from pact healing
no, it specifies that it works from pacts, so it has to be some healing from one o the other pacts, water heal, thorns hit, melee hit, or the heal when dealt a 0
so only healing demonic pacts can overheal. Water spells have healing on the tree, thorns/melee heals based on distance to enemy
interesting, thank you for the clarification
I wonder how heroes quest works in asgarnia... you cannot select side for shield of arrav and need 2 players
oh wiki just isnt updated, heroes quest has been added to asgarnia auto-unlocks later on
it's autocompleted ye
i'm guessing it defaults your allegiance to one of the 2
trying to find partner with jagex auto selected gangs would be pain
very much so
especially if something goofed and everyone got shoved into the same one
lol
i could see that happening
anyone have rough estimates/regions/pacts for the combat styles? idk if anyone has mapped out most of the weps
It really depends on type of weapon. Like for Crossbows. Wilderness, Kanderin, and Asgarnia are the main players for one example.
I just was curious if people had run numbers for builds. I have a rough estimate for DPS on elemental mage, wilderness CB but no idea on hound, thorns package or even smth like bows or what good bows might be? Im just curious if anyone has worked out damage for things like the cerb echo (And if its better to go more mage damage over melee damage) and thorns with things like powered staves and zcb and what those might look like if anyone has an idea that is.
i think actual min-maxing on the dps calc isn't worth worrying too much about right now, it's kind of hard to tell what your actual damage output is going to be with the blindbags/range echoes, so the more accurate ones gonna be the mage numbers probably
things like the dogger damage, are going to greatly depend on your sources of healing, idk if thorns would even be the way to go on that, it might be a better option to go for maximum tank/heal with it so that the mage burn can keep siphoning your life (assuming that's the way to go at all) which also depends on regions, as bloodfury is probably a better choice for that just for the slight extra it'll give
plus considerations for Utility, like the dogger trigger being fire therefore bouncing AoE and adding burns, idk if we even know how much burns deal at this point either or how long they last
mage builds also might not be fully accurate depending when things are added and if they are additive or multiplicative
true
i've been playing around with numbers a lot, but it's definitely more than just numbers, what are you gonna use those numbers on, how much are the utility aspects going to play into where you're at
would you enjoy the playstile with it (KCB hits hard, but i just don't wanna be running around at 7tick)
tomorrow night would probably be the most accurate dps calc we will get since jmods will work with the dps calc devs to try and fix some issues tomorrow
i think it's more worth considering what you find enjoyable, and then min-maxing from that direct perspective
like if you loved throwing but only because it was 1T, you probably wanna go for power staves this time around
im going crossbow build with crazy grinding regions anyway
đ
burns are [stacks] damage every 4 ticks up for a total of 24 ticks, at 5 stacks any new burns will NOT be applied (thus it's not refreshable, you just reapply after each stack times out)
i'm going melee that the calc says is probably one of the worst efficient builds i've tried, but i'm gonna get nonstop hitsplats shooting around, so idc too much
coded as ranged damage so doesn't work on anything that's immune to or reduces ranged damage
is it just 1 damage per stack? the drygore reveal showed it doing 1's, but also 8's, or is that just going to be a 100% seperate mechanic
oh, oof
i mean, it's an existing mechanic that you can apply with 4 different weapons
ah
bclaws, scorchbow, arkan blade, or the eclipse set
i would presume it works the same with drygore as it does with those
i dont think there is info about which burn the drygore blowpipe applies so probably the 10 damage over 24 seconds
that is the default burn
yea, that's kinda where i got confused with it, the clip they showed of it has it doing different damage than i would have expected from a 5 stack max
unless it's scaling differently
sad part is that if it is that burn then drygore blowpipe is taking huge dps nerf from burn stack limit unless you do atlatl spec every 12-16 hits
at least you have access to the eclipse set for that? XD though I guess that wouldn't be the worst build
as the atlatl counts for throwing
would probably make for a nice slayer/aoe clear setup
hm, well if it is the same burn as eclipse, at least there's not a ton of immune mobs
zuk i guess is the most notable, but.... there'd be some weird shenanigans going on if you burned the giant rock fire guy
i went back and looked at it, the clip they used only shows 1- and 2- damage burn ticks
it does have a unique hitsplat
o, i musta equated that 8 with the burn
i don't think there even is an 8 hit lol
@austere depot so after you select the relic and get a task you will be prompted with 3 options, one of which is always a boss task, after you pick said task you get to pick a number up to 200 of said task.
So assuming you got a fire cape and sacrificed it to open Zuk and you spoke to a slayer master for a new task, Zuk might appear the boss task to choose which would allow you to select him up to 200 kills.
well my memory is worth about as much as some cardboard so there's that too
Alright thanks! Wasn't sure if it'd work that way since Zuk isn't technically a directly assignable boss task but kind of a weird edge case
doing a 200 zuk task would be some insane reddit karma farming tactic
200 kill zuk task sounds like something a psycho would do
i would hope if someone did it they'd at least get pet
i mean... i guess you can afk waves with water mage up to jad?
That'd be 400M slayer exp, a little excessive yeah lol
If Zuk isnt normally a boss you can ever be assigned naturally in main game then you wont get him here unless tzhaar task works for him
Which you would still be able to select up to 200 regardless
you can have zuk tasks
It's like, not assigned as a boss task, it's a unique mechanic to TzHaar task where you can "upgrade" the TzHaar task to Jad or Zuk
^
It was a missed opportunity to not have the dogger require being charged with fire runes so the spell can actually do reasonable damage
Then it would be treated as the same
You just get multiple options
That relic is causing me problems
it just depends on how they implement it
In my entire build
i'm taking culling spree because i don't care about anything on t6 at all
culling spree?
Yea
I think i'ma take it anyway, just to have a counter while i'm doing vardorvis or w/e
speed up kills there a little
I want Culling Spree for the funny slayer helm + void gear alone but the other perks seem great too
Thats the issue is i need high slayer rapidly before 2nd region and if i take culling spree its going ti change everything
Make taking fremmy stupid
Too bad i cant get elite void lol
That would be bonkers
Then again it would be less than max mage with confliction gauntlets
Yeah elite is like two other regions for 2.5% more damage lol
wut
They moved it to tira for leagues
if wiki is to be believed, you can't get elite at all without AKT
Yeah, because they share the western provinces diary
mk, so... not terrible for a mage, for gear, though you're basically using said mage to go blast nex.... with mage
yea that doesn't sound very practical
or you could take kandarin and solve mage
yeye
Yeah its a leagues thing
nothing about elite void is changed for leagues though
Tirawin didnt exist when zulrah came out weatern provinces are its own region
Tirawin is its own region as well
tirannwn is the entire section of continent to the west of the underground passage mountains
Alright so now thatâs everythingâs basically released whatâs the plan
for the fourth i've i'm certain of going MTA
i'm sure in the next 2 days i'll waffle on it again half a dozen more times
lol
We could do TMK
eh, i definitely want melee, doesn't make that much sense
reallistically the only ... numbers gain other than asgarnia would be kourend
and while i'll waffle back n forth on asgarnia
i'm not doing CoX
Fair
I think i'm happy enough with asgarnia
i just need to figure a mid-game tree out to get whisper done and out of the way
well does specing 8 into powered staff just for whisperer fix that
probably? swamp trident and crystal armor would indeed probably cover it
go T first get crystal blessing with full crystal with toxic trident
thats my plan
im rushing amox and moons then powered staaves for CG and fight caves
may wait for crystal till i'm ready to switch over to that then, and start out with water/melee or something funky
if i'ma be on a power staff tree for a bit, can just do CG right before dealing with the whisper point
early water covers capes, with melee switch to farm moons
with the easy tasks in all three regions
i'm lost, that's a crossbow tree
i feel like the blindbag node is bait until later
lol
i guess it sent wrong
https://www.osrsleaguescountdown.io/tree?share=1CxETAEEChgwAAAABAgAABAA&name=Hali Blindbag pwd stave
ah
we can get there with just our easy tasks and killing amox
i dps calc the dragon hali its nice
if unlocking regions is more spread out, may end up skilling longer too
^^
depends on what everyone says im still thinking T is a good first region but i might asgarnia instead
oh
actually
hally would work just fine for CG too
not gonna melt him like the staff, but it should do damage well enough
eh, nah, better to just split it for the water/hally
~23 points is easy enough
its 90s ttk with range echo hally
and should work well
thats with 80 str 75 att and def
its 54.6 ttk with just the 1 tick pwd stave and 70 mag
less then a min ttk on currupted hunllef is massive
yea probably just start out going some form of melee with water, get capes then switch for CG
the invest for pen is kind of a lot early on
yeah im really debating just 5 to 1 i mean it cant be that bad
23 points still gets water speed/heals and full hally range
eh, it's not
idk if i wanna really rush it though, i'll get around to it XD
23 points before CG aint happening
i mean not with 1 region
really really rushing CG, 13 points looks do-able, taking it second and skilling a bit beforehand, probably like T4/T5, 21?
yeah but look at the pact tasks
i am
max drop rate at T4, so godwars loot shouldn't be out of possibility by that point
true but im cheeks and there no bankers note to bail me out
fair
will bail you out
but whats our best mid game mage gear if not crystal
true
lol barrows is a trappppp
i know
bloodbark actually shouldn't be bad
if you go transmute
can use 1 dose sacred oil on crap logs
and jsut straight upgrade them to redwood
you right on that
26 pretty easy points (some level grinding required, slayer/crafting) would be easy enough for waiting till all 3 regions
we can prolly kill vardorvis easy with the melee build
i might do him after moons
if im T4
i wonder if there's a list somewhere of bosses that seriously penalize using the wrong styles
is 17 points, grab blood moon, kill all the naguas for their doublehit weapons
easy prett ygood 5 weapon blind bag
like how vetion is "fuck you, use crush"
nooooo that last blindbag node is bait
its more for when you have good blind bag weapons
so add a point, swap it over to hally range, so maca's with dragon hally to use/spec with
yeah
i like that
and when we can be 7 tiles away we use the hali
cuz its better dps
When does the task list get released?
no timetable usually like the day before i think
Thanks
manually entangling him for the fight and staying max range? XD
being rather hopeful for the entangles there
oop, it copied blindbag over, switch that over to tecpatl/macuahuitl/glacials/sulphurs
someone help me decide between friendly forager and woodsman.
oh, page4 is with crystal stuff lol
i mean 5th page
uhh, if you want stress free/fast hunter, do woodsman, you also get the inf whislte to start
faster fletching too
im doing woodsman
ye
its just really nice for the prayer pots with moths too
I feel like fast fletching isn't really necessary because its already fast.
alternatively, ignore melee to start, rush hunter for the moonlight crossbow and just use that for a while
I'm primarily taking forager for the 90% secondary
yea the fletching/fm part of it is kidna moot
did forager on an alt last league and you will not regret either choice imo
its leaguesplanner website safe to use?
they're both great
is liek everyoen using that?
I like the thought of doing the mixology minigame for the goggles and only ever needing 1 secondary item to make the potions i need
info has been correct as far as i've seen on it
but then i feel like hunter is going to be a pos to level
like safe to physiclaly use, ikts not gonna install some keylogger or some shit on me
oh, no it seems fine
how are we gunna get early rc levels?
im solving that with reloaded into butlers bell
get a buncha combat achieves and use a lamp? XD
idk lol
lol
I'm going kandarin, so I'll have ZMI from 5-27
if zeah, the library is good
the only solve i dont have is RC and Con
What areas are you going?
AMT
TMA
oh nagua sulpher ess
lmfao
Runecraft, also called Runecrafting, is a skill that allows players to craft their own runes for Magic spells. This classically involves bringing essence to various runic altars, which can be located and entered using their respective talismans.
The experience earned from making runes is small, and due to the need for constant running and banki...
wait is the sulfer ess buffed?
well
i had no clue sulphurous essence was even a thing
oh and we will have abyss access for alters
as a drop, no
nvm, early rc ez
no it's not buffed
and it stacks
can just sit on sulphurs and train melees
it's not on the list at least
really just gotta solve to 27 so you can do cosmic in zanaris
oh wait the quantity isn't 1
if you only need 27 for cosmics then yeah you need like, 3-4 drops
yea, it looks completely viable
save the rc grind for later in the league
ima be t4 or 5 before i even start a new region /slayer
the general mad dash doing weird little tasks early on gets you up there
hunter only off the rip
just rush to the general store and leg it to the birds!
I dont think people realize how bottlenecked hunter will be
Hello
You lvl it in moons with grubs
especially when the most popular starting route the one posted on the wiki includes hunter
Question: Do tasks change that much between leagues?
generally no? like you'll have similar if not the same ones for a lot of things
just do grubs
itll probably be faster than competition
doesn't have a hunter req?
o, i was assuming it would since the quest did
im gunna book it to crimson swifts but if theres competition ill just go straight grubs
swifts are faster with no competition
that doesn't seem bad, definitely less annoying than bird traps before actually having woodsman
ye, seems good, all the way till rumours
yea that'll take a lot more hopping
Will gem stores have unlimited stock to abuse buying uncuts, cutting and reselling cuts for profit?
Oh that's decent
Grubby saplings are located in the Streambound and Earthbound Caverns within Neypotzli. Collecting from them gives the player a moonlight grub. The player receives 0.05x their Hunter level in Hunter experience for each grub harvested. Depending on the player's hunter level, it's possible to receive 2 grubs instead of 1, also providing double exp...
just drop em
4 exp per grub
why even run out of your way to swifts
cuz 332 grubs
doubles the exp
speeds up grubs significantly
lol then moss lizards are 2ish exp
if you are abundance you go straight grubs
So is trident of the seas going to be a 1 tick weapon with the powered staves pact ?
yes
theyre 90% of hunter level
yes
so 18 my bad
x multiplier
did the opposite math
90xp per lizard
that's pretty good
your 20 hunter
is the supplies stuff for moons instanced?
base league multiplier
ah
x5 the 18
a lot of that depends on how packed swifts actually are I guess
if it really is like 40 people per world at them
yea
it will be
if it's not all that terrible, maybe just stick to birds till 20
so 1 swift gets you to almost level 3, grubs become .75 xp per at level 3
yeah swifts is way to go if no competition
so moss liz until what
rumors
ahh
Grubs or lizards?
Where are grubs
perilous moons
moons area
Hmmmm ok
rumors at 46
They give xp at level 1?
technically
according to wiki
okay well hunter rush here i come
but how they scale you want to do like at least 1 bird
Lmao omg so small ok
otherwise youre picking 300 something grubs
might just slap trees on the way over to birds, get reqs for vale totems too, if there's enough tasks related to make it worthwhile
i wonder what the black bar in rules is
i dont see a black bar
go to the demonic pacts webpage
oh
the blog
"We're not ready to reveal this just yet, you shouldn't be looking here... naughty, naughty!"
lol
another reveal before launch, or maybe at launch idk
you start at max levels and have to work backwards
XD
lmao mass yama at the beginning 1000 lvl 3 naked vs 1 yama winner takes all
if yama wins, the league ends
oh if they give the option to not unlock karamja and youre hunter rushing, dont unlock it til youre done
wahts available if you arent forced to take karamja - Jerboa, Pyrefox, sunlight antelope and moth, tecu, moonlight ante and moth, red chin, black warlock, tropical wagtail, wild kebbit, sapphire glacialis, snowy knight
Gilman - Tecu Salamander, Cervus - Red Chin, Ornus - Doesnt matter, Aco - Moonlight moth, Teco - Sunlight antelope and if you take wolf you will only get moonlight antelopes
Wild kebbit?
Each moonlight antelope is 7200 xp - each rumor from moonlight antelopes is 100k xp
Oh shit thatâs new
At 16x?
if you take woodsman
thats 8x base + woodsman bonus
and you want to do traps not moths for the seeds for transmute for farming
moths may be faster xp, but you lose out on seeds
also a bunch of moonlight antelope food later on will be nice as well
See this is the anti woodsman angle Iâm liking right now
Sunlight Moths are quick rumours count
anti woodsman?
Yeah gonna go forager
woodsman gets you farming, prayer, fletching, and some herblore secondaries as well as herbs
herblore is gunna be easy since we all have mixology
Will ali morrisane rune shop in desert be available after unlocking desert? It says you have to talk to Aubury in varrock to do the runedoku part :/
What runes are you trying to get?
it makes runes cheaper in general
Not really if youâre going 50m.
Prayer and rc is solved with soul harvest.
Farming can be done with elite clue and pvm.
Fletching is done with totems or is buyable.
Some secondaries is just nests?
Also prayer isnât fully solved. I donât know if 50m hunter would get 50m prayer
several other options for prayer anyway
woodsman is overall a nice boon though, realistically forager would be the way to pick if trying to alleviate speed on 50m all probably? but idc about 50m's
@brittle hull Are you planning on a ranged build?
Mage
Then hell yeah, f woodsman
As someone who needs fletching for Sunlightcbow and darts, woodsman is very attractive
And since I'm taking Wildy, the earlier I get in the better
Why couldnât you fletch arrow shafts with feathers during pyre fox downtime?
hunter rush makes for easy moonlight cbow
which is a pretty great early weapon with guaranteed maxhit shortbow speed
Taking DWZ, want to be able to really get into some stuff quickly
Still tossing up between DWZ and ADW
Honestly I think youâll be surprised how quick it is to get to 66 fletch
Or whatever the level is for bow and bolts
Yeah, but dragon bolts not so much
You donât need that early though?
Going to try and do a Sol rush, so wouldn't mind it early
Is this your first sol?
So why not hunterâs crossbow
Sol is melee though? Or can you range it
You can range it with the CBOW stuff quite easily this league
And the Kings Barrage can overheal you to like 188 I think?
he was easy to range last league because of the perfect accuracy thing
but he's got like 800+ range def
My accuracy should still be around 35% I think
I've done sol on a main, should be even easier than that
Only issue is gonna be not meleeing, so walking will be weird
If dragon bolts are your reason for taking woodsman, why canât you spend 1-2 hours wc and doing vale totems to get the level required
Youâre still going to be taking a while to get crossbow
And kbd drops yews
blood runes
as long as you push early tree into 100% regen, you just need the one
What would I take instead, forager? Pots are an easy solve with either transmute or harvest and a tiny bit of effort
Well how many pots do you want to make
Aiming for all pact points and to raid with friends, I think I'll have more than enough
They are a solve with transmute but if youâre going for maxing youâll be passively getting a stupid amount of herbs for 99 or beyond
Absolutely no interest in maxing, just here for fun
whats your T1 tin?
