water pacts increase king's barrage damage on wiki dps calc, if jagex greenlighted that then there is no double ammo echo procs but it does benefit from water damage amps
each subsequent self echo proc remains a 25% chance
no, we're both assuming it remains at 25%, and husky has confirmed that is the case
Hmm right
0.275 + 0.275x0.25 + 0.275x0.25^2 + 0.275x0.25^3 + 0.275x0.25^4 = 0.36666
and for the 0.5x0.25 one it = 0.6666
Yeah actually it probably is that, after all
But also yeah youre 100% right the 38% water dmg wont apply to echoes. Husky has said 'echoes are their own thing', and not attacks from the weapon that caused them
Mhm
Any thoughts on which one seems better?
Water/fire mage & kcb or water/thorns & kcb
Plan what you will choose in Leagues VI using our Demonic Pacts tree.
Plan what you will choose in Leagues VI using our Demonic Pacts tree.
i guess 1 echo per shot, and ignoring the water dmg mode first, the echos have same max hit as your crossbow, but dont guarantee max hit
King's barrage is definitely looking very nice either way. Not quite as good as I was hoping
So they contribute 50% more dps
1 extra shot that does half as much dmg as the always max hitting crossbow shot
Not much point taking thorns with kcb given that it's a 2h cbwo
so i have 24 dps base, echoes adding 12 more. 1.19 mult applies to 24, so (24*1.19 + 12) and then x1.06 to account for the bit of range str missing. 43 dps all up
i think kings barrage with water nodes will end up about same as zcb if you include zcb specs
So does a reset allow you to do the tasks to get more pact points? I am just having a hard time understanding it.
Wym zcb specs are awful
Kcb would be secondary, water mage primary
43 dps with around 10hp/sec healing
Zcb spec gives you a 110 hit
is very good
Standard hits are like 97
I'm getting a little less dps starting with a 56 max hit
+32% damage on the spec, you use onyx bolts not the terrible ruby bolts
You just get the points you spent back
No echo Yama so sad 🙁
Okay great you get an extra 30 damage every 4 minutes
that calc needs a toggle for showing echoes
But i'd realistically go kourend I think over kandarin, to get rigour without needing to reload
But without kandarin you're stuck using only the kcb for everything, no way you can use plain old water sustain
void is a bit more dps vs lower defense stuff, but i'd rather have another raid and more dmg vs giga tank stuff
not sure what you mean
10hp/sec is already a ridiculous amount
that does still look really solid in general
yes and dragon claw build also speccing only once every 4minutes with this logic
Yeah but like if you want to mage, or do anything without massive overkill you're fairly stuck
def wouldnt go mage on this setup
pure water mage is meme
and no points for air or fire
but yeah the overkill is the main drawback
but i think by the time the build is fully online
im just doin big bosses anyway?
What do you mean? That makes 0 sense. D claw build does specs more because of the nodes that get you spec. Those nodes don't get you spec with the zcb
not killin hill giants with my KCB
Yeah but you literally have nothing to kill anything small
yeah but like, while im training slayer lets say
my max hits are gonna be in the 50s probably
you do get 2% per wit ha cb
so thats fine
Baba room, for instance
and you.. .might? get it from echoes?
ok ive never done ToA in my life to be fair lol
O 2% per hit with crossbow? Mkay fair enough
done plenty of the other raids
XD
2% per hit and 20% chance to not consume spec energy, double death charge, flask
if that counts in the "with any style" echoes might actually make it decent
i could put a few points into thrown stuff i guess
have some dragon darts
drygore bp
Alright fair enough but at a 75% spec cost you aren't raising the dps more than 1-2
That's solid
Going all in on one build is risky, particularly if you don't know all the content
yes that is all it needs to match king's barrage with water tree buffing half the shot damage
yea, no arguements there, I'm hoping it does work with BB+Echoes, would make the tecpatl plan a bit better
im still tossing it up between this, and my powered staves-only thornser 😛
im leaning towards the powered staff build tho
totally opposite playstyles lol
honestly sang thorn tank sounds like a fun mix
1t attacks vs 7t attacks
tho both have lots of healing
5.5hp/sec with sang build, 10hp/sec with kcb
OR, negative HP/sec with blood moon BBEcho spec spam!
whats doin dmg to you?
me
Eh I mean fair enough. I don't think it being 1-2 behind is really enough to matter either way
ah
i'll probably just end up doing the tecpatl with tirranwyn for crystal armor or something equally weird
kcb is +4 range str over zcb + buckler. And then around 12.5% more dps from the 38% water damage. How does zcb compete with it? Like actually curious
I really dont want to take Nature's accord in my reloaded relic, but I feel like I need it mainly for transport to fair rings and such
Dont mean it in a rhetorical sense lol, im just surprised
most teleports have something somewhat close to a fairy ring
you could just carry around the dramen staff
any suggestions on this build?
Plan what you will choose in Leagues VI using our Demonic Pacts tree.
+5 ranged str from the off hand pact, so zcb + buckler is +1 over king's barrage. checking my build and the +1 actually gives max hit, so that might explain why kings barrage without water tree is worse
omg I just remembered something nvm! XD
i see, tho with water tree kcb wins hard right?
what regions?
I guess zcb leaves open the possibilty of thorns or putting more pts into thrown/bows
with water tree its better if you dont count specs
Zeah kandarin wildy
right but zcb specs arent giving 12.5% more dps
to match what water tree gives kcb
are they?
Yeah I mean regular crossbow+thorns is gonna win by a mile
so planning on having a tank switch? since devils wont do anything for thorns
idk about mile
Why not? It’s an offhand
it's not a shield
Thorns is generally around 10dps against most bosses+aoe
thorns specifies "shield" not "offhand"
at 43 dps, losing the 12.5% boost from water its 38.2 dps. So thorns has to give 4.8+ to beat it
not on a range build
def not 10 dps
going wildy you can make use of any of the corp shields just fine
So we go from like 38vs43 to 43vs48
10 dps is on a full torva dfs build
oh i think the overhealing for ranged str doesnt work in wiki with water healing, that would make it better
You can use the suffering for free too don't forget
full torva dfs, thorns hits for 27, which is 9dps vs a typical 5t boss
would be good I think, just dont expect to use the devils element for tanking
Oh I see. Yeah could be arcane shield then
in masori and buckler and shit, its hitting for maybe 15, so 5 dps on a 5t boss
The recoil from echo boots and suffering shouldn't be ignored, especially when it comes to lower defence setups
could keep devils with you and pop it on for that extra dps where you need it
ok fair enough
other upside is you can use thorns to finish off mobs your crossbow didnt KO
in multicombat at least
sounds pretty good overall though, triple recoil/thorns, fire is great aoe and nice damage, water keeps you alive
Thorns doesn't work everywhere, but where it does work, it generally makes its builds top tier
I'm sad there's no salamander build, are there any other fun weird builds that are a little more out there? I like whacky builds Instead of the typical full cross bow / blind bag / elemental spells?
but i think the 10 healing/sec from kcb cant be ignored
less eating for one, so more dps there
blue moon!
No, absolutely, that's why I think kcb is still very competitive
So what t6 yall doin
with kcb healing you can skip doom blue shield phases lel
just let him explode at you
only hits 99s
and ou have 189 hp
easy
blue moon gets you tribrid with never switching! blindbags, melee range, ranged echos, undead grasp gets 12+ damage from fire rune regen
wait im now even more confused... overheal does work but have to manually insert the number. Then why did king's barrage get damage boost when i turned on the ice = water spell without adding extra max hp
For the pact where max hit from 3 tiles away, your next hit from a different style deals 25% damage. Would a max hit from a range echo trigger it as range style?
ah the base +20% from 99 hp, that one isnt overheal
yea
weird, when i set hp to 189/99 nothing changes dps wise
I am hoping this is the case, if it isn't, i'll be sad, and need to respec
oh..
the overheal ranged str does not work still
because i have no KCB selected
have they added it yet?
still got zcb/buckler
to simulate
ah they do!
king's ballista
yeah about that
Is this all with culling spree?
so should be like 44 or 45.. maybe they made the same mistake of applying the 38% water dmg to echoes xd
no culling spree
Hmm how? I'm getting <40
yeah so ticking the ice spells node
brings it from
36.927 to 43.483
a 17.7% boost
so its applying it to the echo dmg too
It might make sense if echos from the ice bolt go off the max hit
Aha. No. Still <42dps
Void gets it over 45 lmao
you both wearin 4 regions worth of gear XD
but i guess (f) doesn't actually matter on the masori
4 regions?
it does affect the treads tho
Desert, Wildy, Kandarin
asgarnia desert wildy kandarin
no asgarnia
ahhh
are asgarnia
whoops forgot to take off the max treads
😛
yea the masor dont matter
There we go
nah those are huey
lmao
the 1 range str from boots might not matter when adding in the missing +9 range str from tree
they just look similar
i think the difference is probably just a 1% ranged damage node and some accuracy
Does anyone know if the Crystal blessing applies the effect without crystal armor equipped?
yeah, but my logic was i'd rather have another raid region to whack my 400s in, and masori is better dps vs tankier stuff
and still very close vs less tanky stuff
yea that's what it is
but tbf void is much easier to get, so there's that
but who wants to hit their max gear so quickly 🙂
i dont belive it does
would be broke as shit if it did
not sure what you mean, both effects involve the armor itself
Wilderness, kandarin, asgarnia is definitely a fun thought
No raid region isn't too bad
Particularly with nex - that basically replaces an entire raid
you'd def reach insane power like the fastest of any build
nex and goofing off in the wildy is fun enough
It is my speedrun build so I may do that
venator ring lost
honestly KW alone would make an early water mage setup pretty nutty
Eternal sustenance probably most sweet for Blindbag builds
Just do 20 heavy weapons
The wording leads to believe otherwise "The crystal armor bonuses for Accuracy and Damage apply to all melee weapons and magic powered staves whilst equipped" Meaning while the blessing is equipped. Wondering if you could use the cryustal blessing with Vi's helm for bonus
Lmao
this existed last league and you had to have the armour equipped im quite sure
I can see the mix up, but yes , it only applies to when you're wearing the crystal armor
I didn't go Tirranwn but some1 can easily confirm?
Culling spree, void, zarytes, 51.9dps
Ye you needed the armour on
I did tirn last league
All well back to the drawling board
Oh nvm, no zarytes
yeah 51.9 dps with culling spree for AWK
plus a couple more from 9 range str missing lol
so 53+
and around 50 with DWK
but vs anything with some defence theyll even out or DWK will win
Quite like the idea of doing gwd with that setup too
Yeah but the accuracy is insane
dps is equal on kree
1 second gwd boss kills sound fun tho
yeah tbf vs most shit void does win
so it just comes down to if you want gwd or toa
Even against nex, void only loses by like 1% against masori
maybe AWK can respec to a whole diff dagger build too?
True, that too
W doesnt really offer much for dagger build
K gives suffering but thats all
well unless ur doin ur dagger mage thing
cant decide if I want to do one account for mage and one for melee or try to play both on one
with the resets, you wont have to make a new account if you wanna try out another combat spec
huh
oh wait, you were saying dagger dps calc is counting 100% proc
nvm
i was about to say, 41 dps with nothing but melee setup sounds solid
You will if you want to try out 10 different specs across every region
It still settled around 45dps, if you include thorns]
also you only get 3
i guess the main difference between zcb and king barrage is that zcb can put more points into accuracy for things like whisperer, vard, sol, yama which evens the dps out
I guess with 3 different builds you can start on whichever has the best early game scaling, then try out the other two and use your last respec to swap back to whichever you liked the most
is obby dagger thorns light weapons busted for early prog
well only if youre strategic about the region choices
on low defence targets king's barrage with water tree is better
if you build around the accuracy loss, absolutely
With the shadowflame quadrant, if it counts as infinite runes, does that mean you would never Regenerate the runes? Makling most of the magic tree useless?
that'd probably be a really nice <20 point start yea
seems really really really strong for how many pts it takes and how easy the gear is to get
though, in principle KCB could simply do the same tree and skip water?
+1 range str for 1 extra pt invested is no advantage for the ZCB
if anything its worse if that 1 pt could be a 1% range str node
it for sure is. best part is, the combat experience you get from it
Nah, even with max accuracy buffs zcb loses hard to kcb even against awakened whisperer
do you get xp from thorns?
well kcb kinda doesnt want the spec pacts from melee side that give most of the extra accuracy
only one way to find out
sure, but nothing stopping you simply taking the same tree regardless
and being on equal footing
its only thorns that differentiates the two really
The lack of points from going into mage does
i cant see zcb spec being impactful
i meant that you can always skip mage and take identical tree. Since his argument was that the zcb has an advantage in some situations by having more accuracy
but its not anything inehrent to the zcb
just how you chose to spec the tree
I'm keen to mage sol with my powered staff bonanza gear lmao
But then so does rune crossbow
would make it about same dps with slight modification by removing 2 useless points and putting them into useful spots
Sol is gonna be a little nasty given how few people take (good) melee, how little sustain melee has, and how ridiculusly tanky he is to everything else
https://dps.osrs.wiki?id=PrisonersFossilBelt 11.5 sol DPS with mage, not too bad
I think my thorns would do nothing right
cause you dont even cop 0's
just reflect 3x when he does his parry thing
Yep
solid chance i go minion tho
Well, except for if/when you make mistakes
lmao ye
Then you can reflect the full thorns
it also depends if thorns even procs on the sol attacks or are they considered environment damage (for shield and spear slams)
Given that he only has 1500hp, going in on 188hp and tanking like 6 hits is pretty insane
It's possible it won't count yes
This is what I did Sol in on my varlamore uim
Tier 6 is looking a little sad but that gives me plenty of opportunity to make Slayer easier on myself lol
Food perk works great with Thorns
I have my eyes set on a dinhs thorns blindbag build, I don’t really want to spend my league farming points in gwd so I’m thinking about skipping torva and just going to Tir for crystal armor. Lose defense but gain damage and accuracy, what do you guys think? Other zones would zeah and mory
zeah/mory/tir looks solid
Hey thats absolutely true. You can just main food kawambwan to survive almost anything
combo food karambwan angler all day
Yee
battles may take longer, but you do not die ever. probably could out heal Jad with the right build
Success is high but fun sounds low
^ couldnt agree more with that
from my experience I found corrupted shark to feel tedious
lifesteal is a lot more satisfying to heal on
like fighting against a recover team in pokemon
Well if ur not using orayer no unless u could eat faster
It not working on potions takes a lot away from it
I heard someone made a dope af prayer build
I think it's good for people who are either abusing thorns or not confident in managing resources for inferno/colosseum
True
Husky said he ran a dins build and attempted the 6 jad challenge without touching his mouse. He got through 5 of the jads without any input
Losing 15% damage and accuracy on everything feels rough trade off
Don’t need to eat if you just kill it
sometimes I think about the dins build but I don't wanna run double raid regions
Well he had to bop the healers
Hard pass on double raid
But yeah it looks like fun
how do you think he built that build?
He didn't show it specifically but yeah just the Uber tank build
But yeah, he didn't eat any food
The more I think about it you can skip mory p easily, but I think it would be fun to take that build into tob and I’d like a nally for easy accessibility blindbag
friend of mine is doing a ranged thorns build and it looks cozy and strong
max crossbow hits + shield and thorns
I feel this but im coping on chally instead of nox
I did Mory last leagues I just need some variety
with the evil eye relic are there any bosses that are extremely close to a bank as is
could go asgarnia instead, get torva, your BB can be just a bunch of godswords
Nox, SRA, scythe x3 vs
SRA, Chally, charged scythe, uncharged scythe, bludgeon ig?
echo boppers
he retired
just remembered that I have glove slot filled with my regions
I wonder how many won't have anything for it
can you catch chins in tirannwn without picking kandarin for box traps/eagles peak?
chins also exist in varlemore
We all have chins
I believe eagles is auto unlocked
I think my armor is
Crystal set + blessing
Rancour
Dinhs
Ferocious
Ultor
Treads
crystal dinhs sounds funny
Tier 2 and 4 relics are such hard choices
It does more melee dps than oathplate without thorns, you lose some thorns damage though but w/e
Justiciar would still be top armor
depends how you wanna get production skills done I feel
It’s like 19.8 vs 20.1
Eternal sustenance won't count for Guthix rests right
higher defense can lead to a lot more damage with thorns
honestly, inf food is great for wave based content as well. Fire cave, inferno, colosseum and doom. it gives out great sustain
inf food isn't useless but if you pick Kourend you may as well use your healing bow in most cases
Yeah torva would go sick nasty but gwd isn’t my favorite
a moonlight antelope is basically a free antipoison
Yeah but you also have relic sustain which makes it unnecessary
Well justiciar also has a flat 15% damage reduction
Anti venom*
im talking about the pact where 0s lead to big damage
😄
true
I just remembered that I will have maniacal monkeys this year
Kandarin stonks are going up

The max range for non-halberd melee is 2, right?
seems so
for that 1 perk, yeah only works with halberds
https://dps.osrs.wiki?id=GreataxeZoneDust
man, dps isnt as good as pure dagger or pure sang staff... but the playstyle of this seems giga fun. 1 way switch hybrid build with 2t melee 1t mage, full spec bar every 30s
Asgarnia, Mory, Tirranwn
note its got graardor configured, so chicken dps is a lot higher. But also dagger is showing 25% more dps than it really gives
why put crush attack on the dogger?
and theres around 5-6 thorns dps on top for both melee/mage
wdym?
its set to slash
doesnt even have a crush option
like in it's attack bonus
jagex like to meme
Searching Dogger on the wiki will pull you to the Fang of the Hound. XD
honestly i think im gonna just do this hybrid build ive cooked up
it looks so fun
be like a bee
yeah they link to common searches, same with bowfa
you can just add redirects. there's nothing stopping you
sorry wall of text incoming, I know not Everyone is in the leagues official discord, but this is what Mod Husky said that i truly believe most of you should understand so u dont kill urself over math
basically what i seem to be leaning towards
but 2h version
JagexHusky Yesterday at 12:05 PM
I am not going to be able to answer everyone's specific questions about pact interactions with specific weapons in the discussion channel.
The information is easily lost
It's not even likely this goes to the people working on the DPS calculators anyway
For the most part I feel like it's satisfying someone's curiosity more than actually clarifying something useful for the community
Instead we'll try out best to work with the OSRS Wiki DPS calculator developers to try and identify any issues once they've fixed what they already know they need to fix. At the end of the day I'd probably not advise, planning your builds around what is the highest DPS for your own sanity anyway.
Yo the Pray air build, I noticed u either go K T Z or K T M, why mory and not like desert for example
"earth spell hits reduce enemy defense and magic defense by 2" - is this overkill for a shadowflame staff build?
yea, most of the number crunching is just having fun messing with combos
havent played in a while so im hella blind going into this
I think third region on a lot of builds is just "what do i want to play with"
over gear choice
blindbag + light?
Thinking so hard about if I want to do dogger build or a mage build
Mage seems so interesting but dogger spec+thorns build seems so fun
the tecpatls are heavy
how is a ranged echo triggered from a melee hit handled? does it apply your range pacts to your melee echo?
ye but you have the light stuff on tree
it says on the node that does itt hat it uses melee stats
oh, i was basically just routing to the other heal node
i could probably drop 4 or 5 points and put them into the power staff switch
applies the crossbow, bow and throwing 1st echo buffs and also can increase the echo max to 4x, ammo regen parts wont help melee
the second thorn/melee heal node is an awkward path for anything
do the dagger mage build
you can do dogger thorns and gear switch to firetank caster pretty reasonably
so you'd have options
man that food relic seem kinda useless for my mage setup
damn i had a build planned where i was gonna constantly proc max hit crossbow echos off of my melee hits so sad
ty for the answer
yea i dont think the crossbow maxhit node is going to affect melee range echoes
but you would have 20% chance for maxhit because of the thrown part
i was hoping it would be like blindbag where it would echo off your weapons in inventory
it should
the raneg echo portion says "on hit"
i think blindbags count as a melee hit?
i could easily be wrong there
yeah water mage it's useless, it's good for anything else
blindbag attack is as if you were holding the weapon and attacking with it
i'm also assuming multihit effects will have seperate chances for range echoes
if not, that whole setup will be way less effective
they just made water too good compared to other ones
I guess I can also just drop the halberd stuff and defense nodes and go this
TZM I think? Would be a dhins build
the others can put out insane dps thought, i know alot of people want that. I'm personally going with a full water build myself
spent countless days theorycrafting
food relic is door build healing source
you can max 110 with overheal
My og plan was hally blindbag but I think I don't want to do that anymore
What would the best food be for the infinite food relic on a thorns build?
Maybe summer pies* if you don't care about attack delay?
the range echoes never miss bow node seems incredibly useful imo
anglerfish + karambwan, angler can overheal and karambwan in case you need double eat
I would say moonlight antelope / Summer pie
also the thrown gainin range str for melee shouldn't affect the melee echoes at all
moonlight antelope/karaw
it does state it uses melee stats
yeah now that i think about it you could just bring one of each food without hurting your inventory too bad
its possible with water mage to hit up to 180+hitpoints
20% of that just gets added as %dmg
ye
and you get free healing + prayer regen with air node
moonlight antelope + karambwan + anglerfish yeah. moonlight antelope is only good if you let the 2nd part heal before you eat another antelope
i take the wind node for prayer points
wait which wind node
the 15% when you regen air
works on any surge spell
Maybe forcing thorns build just isn’t it
its about .5 paryer per cast on avg
what the fuck
thats actually a prayuer solve for us water mages i couldn't figure out
how did i miss that
yea, anything going standard book is just inf prayer
most surge spells use 5 air runes +
i didnt
Yeah there's no reason not to grab that node tbh
thats a 75% chance per cast for prayer regen
ancient magiks stocks in the dirt
what do people think for someone that wants to have fun and learn some bosses. Kanderin, Frem, Mory..........
guess im going back to drawing board lol
i'm going to report you
powered staffs are even stronger lowk
legitimately part of the reason i'm donig it
powered staves are more friendly for splashing into thorns
or using as hybrid switch
but the actual power definitely is just straight up air
Any dps calcers that would be able to estimate what something like this could do with blue moon + undead grasp?
https://tools.runescape.wiki/demonic-pacts/?n=1-10-122-157-161-2-4-43-44-47-56-60-69-7-73-74-83-86
Plan what you will choose in Leagues VI using our Demonic Pacts tree.
can poke at my ghetto getup for it
Wiki doesnt know how to do set effect or fire rune damage buff
first 2 loadouts
if not taking friendly forager, is prayer potions with snape grass the easiest training method?
looking forward to playing with that, it didn't quite work last league
or is there a higher tier secondary thats easier to farm
Is lithic sceptre considered a staff for the powered staves node in magic section?
depends on region
Yeah its a powered staff
yep
I wonder if ranged echoes proc the 2% spec regen when 2 tiles away
it does say "any" style, i'm hoping it does
My current thoughts are to go obby dagger thorns for early, respec into blue moon and rock that for a long time, and maybe respect late into leagues into fire water mage or air mage. Or maybe one then the other to close it out.
what are some lesser thought of benefits of picking wildy?
can you own more than 1 echo item of the same?
supplies in general
kinda easy tasks i guess
the hardest part of the wildy doesnt exist in leagues so
easy dragon pick
larrans chest provides you tons of supplies, wild bosses provide bulk herbs/secondaries, revs provide unlimited cash if ur other methods aint great, easy tasks in wild
This is pretty close to mine as well
Nah m8 gonna rag people on my alt all day long ur PERMED xd
idk if it can really be considered "hidden" but the rev weapons are a great choice
jokes on you i never take wildy
Dark what regions you taking
What regions you taking for that
1- kandarin
2- desert
3-zeah
Why desert and zeah?
for anyone picking wildy, remember to turn death piles off, especially with eternal sustenance
can i give thammarons scepter to minion?
wildy is also one of best areas for slayer, more hp npc, more spawns and less packed out
How difficult do you think it will be to reach t4 from the start? Is it viable to hit t4 before say, really digging into mid game combat stuff like moons
Drop rate buff really helps a lot
desert is easy runecrafting and early water tome, fang and drygore
asgarnia desert zeah to suffer
zeah is just for slayer mostly
idk if we have enough info yet on points n stuff
probably? but honestly there are easier options
and hespori has one of the best echo weapons this time around
but it should be pretty reasonable to just kinda zone out, do skilling and stuff all the way to t4
Really really hoping
i usually dont go too hard on combat till a bit later
its better than a dark bow in every way btw
I've always been a leagues combat focused chud but I feel like i want to be more careful and intentional with how I hit this one
wait thammarons is 4 tick??? can that be 2 tick then???
for elemental though "The sceptre also has a "Swap" option that allows players to switch it to Thammaron's sceptre (a), which is a variant that can autocast offensive combat spells from the standard spellbook (including Flames of Zamorak) and the Ancient Magicks."
for comparison, dbow has the same ranged attack and its 8 ticks, vs recurve having an extra 4 ranged strength and its 3 ticks rapid
starting in misthalin you kinda are incentivised to rush whatever is possible to branch out, i think in varlamore you could really just sit around and progress in quite a lot before worrying about rushing combat
-8 max hit is a small price to pay for THAT much faster speed, speed is underrated I think. On a similar note im sure some dogger builds are really going to pop off
doesnt apply to shadow btw
it just gets a free tick reduction
ye, but idk if it makes it worthwhile even then
The max hit reduction? Or speed?
Damn
powered staffs are extremley strong anyways with the regen
does higher accuracy than autocasting matter if you're doing 50 average damage 90% of the time when i'm doing 110's 70% of the time?
especially with conflictions given to everyone
idk
i'm looking forward to seeing what someone can do wit ha shadow
but i'ma hedge my bets on air goin wild
Is slayer helm better than crystal helm with crystal blessing for melee?
uhh, i doubt it
you just culling spree to stack them
if you're not gonna take culling spree, but are going tirr, i think it worked out last league to crystal just being better
Well I'm picking mory and I don't have access to any other spellbooks
maybe depends tho
So was thinking of picking grim
how so? 1 (of each, at most) rune per tick vs 10 element + 7 air regen per 3 ticks
i mean 1handers definitely get some nice utility with it
but yea, idk if i'd call it anything wild
If you stacked the rune regens, they read "per rune regenerated" not "per <element> rune regenerated" but still a trickle compared to elemental builds
has anyone theorized if transmutation solves all money issues? im thinking on going with abundance for t1 atm, but if transmutation has a good money maker i might just go with endless harvest instead
So the powered staves can regen what. 4-8 depending on the regen you have
I think that's just for better sentence flow
I'm willing to bet it's per element rune regenerated
you can make it so you regen every elemental type with a powered staff
and thats per tick
ehh, i think you're playin' semantics with grammar that more than likely just means it's counting that specific type of rune
Jamflex I showed you my theorycrafting pls respond
lol
yes that's the "of each at most" part
1 per is still. Not anything fantastic
i mean maybe if 100% regen adds another?
I guess, yeah
it's still just sorta "nice utilty on top" for powered staves
its per tick tho
Anyone going for the black dragon crossbow setup?
yea, and +2 damage per tick is good, and +2 hp per tick is great
yeah, but 4 total runes per tick is less than 17 total runes per 3 ticks
but i wouldn't call it the best thing ever when water surge can get like 30-40
Do we know if transmutation keeps going while you are fishing and such like golden god?
hope so, i dont remember the way they worded golden god
Would be good but it doesnt say
Yes auto cast
so gotta manually get that cash!
or go wildy and dump everything onto that poor npc
When cast on a stack of items, the spells will automatically be recast over time, until the stack is depleted or moved.
Actions that would normally cancel Alchemy such as walking or attacking will not do so whilst it is automatically casting.
Thirving relic is a guaranteed money solve
Idk if it will go while u do other tasks
hm, so the description of this one is much less specific
we'll just have to see, or maybe a jmod will clarify
but im goin with natures accord, so thieving is out of the question for me
Autocast yes but not if it will interrupt, but they clarify in golden god that it
still taking it no matter what
What zones are good for someone with nearly 0-pvm experience? And what combat style would be easiest to use in these zones?
do you want to stay 0 pvm experience? or looking to have fun wit hthigns you've not done
100% mage water
Want to try things.
with how much overheal you are gonna get you can tank zuk literally
with group or just sorta by yourself putting around
Solo
tirranwyn for sure
desert probably, you can reasonably solo ToA
and it's a very fun raid
you can do beginners easily even with no raid experience
kandarin wilderness desert/tirannwn probably. tirannwn does have echo hunlefff which is hard. desert has toa which is pretty hard
gauntlet is tough, but rewarding once you learn it, and the echo fight is a fun mess
Only problem with tanking zuk is that the jad will eventually aggro you but otherwise yeah
we tank both XD
uhh, maybe asgarnia last?
TAD makes for decent range or melee options but nothing great in either though
That does overwhelm the healing, and can also one shot you even at 188
asgarnia has awakened whisperer and solo nex tasks
i'd say pick a couple of those then figure out where you can get gear, or what echo weapon you wanna play around with
oh, right
ok well maybe not asgarnia for starting pvm
nex isn't too bad
nobody likes whisper
is there a task for guardian boots? and can players revert echo boots to guardian to get it?
Thanks for the input 🙂
good thing you with have essentially infinite prayer
possible cerb dagger build with water spells for overheal
https://tools.runescape.wiki/demonic-pacts/?n=1-10-11-117-118-119-12-122-135-142-143-144-162-163-165-2-4-44-46-56-59-60-69-7-72-74-79-8-82-85-86-92-94-96-97
Plan what you will choose in Leagues VI using our Demonic Pacts tree.
Lithic sceptre is gonna be a 1 tick sunlit spear for mage. Can’t wait to go into nylos
I mean yeah sure you could just pray against jad but then you might as well just follow the shield
i dont even know if you would heal enough to take multiple hits, its just nice to have some breathing room
basically same damage as 0 prayer bonus sunlight spear. still good for nylos. you also stack twice as fast
You would absolutely heal enough to fight zuk without the shield, but not fight zuk and jad and potentially a mager/ranger without
are yama's meteors coded as instakills or do they just do really high damage
outhealing zuk would come down to rng, on average yes you outheal
the fact you can even take a hit is absurd enough
earlier Jad perhaps

121 according to wiki, but i guess that is highest possible overheal in main game so not sure. yama contracts do have oneshot mechanics
just wanting to know whether you can afk it with a water build
if you have a melee duo you can probably kill before he does anything
no 2nd reveal today?
tommorow is the last relic
they revealed almost everything already. only last relic and task list left i think
sad man that ranger dont have healings on the tree
tomorrow is last planned reveal too
when task list?
probably day before
yeah not being able to overheal as ranged unless you do the whole wildy crossbow water stuff is sad
crossbow can do water tree for healing with wilderness echo weapon, otherwise just onyx bolt (e) and flask (t8). bow can heal with echo hespori weapon. throwing weapons can only heal with thorns from shield
mage being the best for once?
we want overhealing with bows
you got always hit last time
natures recurve also heals, so does the toxic blowpipe
its prayer regen too
what happened last league is no reason to leave certain pacts weak lol
eternal sustance must pick for ranger i guess?
nah recurve
Unless you do the wildly echo crossbow
yea i dunno about wildy crossbow its sloowwwww
you are right, KBC is not broken at all, have you made a natures recurve build yet? that thing slaps as well
Yeah but hitting 250+ potentially will be cool
Blessed to be going wild+ leaning towards ranged even before finding out about the cbow
inferno probably only place while you might need unlimited healing with crossbows
recurve is gonna be 2 tick late
everybody has a different level of need
grandmasters don't need anything
yeah just most other content oneshots you before you use full inv
Inferno was super easy last year with unlimited supplies
Crossbow will make it easy again
mage is essentially unchange
that unlimited food thing makes minion an easy pick
raids you might also need more food than inventory holds
its even funnier that the inferno has a collective weakness to water
i was thinking i needed flask with bows but not anymore
im taking flask anyway but takes more skill and thinking to use well compared to minion
what if its last stand as the third relic
its so awful comapred to last stand haha
last stand would make no sense, flask is already 3/4 of last stand
If you hit something and then hide behind a pillar, will the minion continue attacking it?
you have to pre-empt the attack that would have killed you, you don't get full health value
its so much worse for casual survival
its probably gonna be something to do with thorns
optimal flask usage on single target explosion + special energy in max build is slightly worse dps than minion but hard to use optimally
like i'm thinking zuk, you step out from the shield on accident
last stand is like; oops, glad it saved me, now let me heal to full
flask is like; did i make a mistake? oh no that attack is coming for me, quickly flask, i was at 90 health already so it only healed me for 9, but zuk would have oneshot me
so much usage friction
i used last stand to get hit by zuk on purpose to kill zuk without tagging healers
that too
Can bluetooth halberd reach zuk?
should be able to
at center yes, at edges no
7 range is rapid rcb
at the center~ 5 tiles or smth?
when shield is at edges you get dragged out of shield cover if you try to attack
its kinda like resoing in rs3 actually, you wanna be low to get as much value of the healing part of it as possible while still getting immunity from the big attack you're resoing
but not so low that you get chipped by everything else
reso also has a 1 minute cooldown, this has 3
can look up raging echoes league melee inferno with the natures respite
some youtube videos did it with 7tile range with that
i can appreciate that flask has that proactive cooldown reduction but i would probably have preferred for it to not have that and instead just be on a minute cooldown
Is Kraken also only pseudo-immune to melee just because of not being able to reach it normally?
especially now that we've seen the food relic, flask lost major value
Would I be able to kill it with bluetooth halberd or thorns(melee type dmg)?
hard to say wiki does not have info, range deals 1/7th damage. might deal 100% damage with melee since 7tile melee was not even considered back then
Hmm yeah, I'm mainly trying to figure all bosses I can kill with thorns as it counts as melee damage, recoil at least should work against Kraken
Either way I can't really see why you'd be in kandarin and not have any mage options
door build to kandarin for suffering
I was thinking about respeccing from mage into thorns, but yeah I could just farm Kraken loot before the respec lol
Do we have the task list yet?
probably given on monday, maybe even tomorrow
we did get the demonic pact point tasks couple days ago though
can you overheal with the inf food perk?
It's a relic so I don't think so. Overheal only works from pacts
But anglerfish has natural overheal capabilities tho, as far as I know
anglerfish can overheal to 121 (lvl 99 hp)
Does corp count as wildy boss for thammarons damage boost?
no, unless they change it for league. probably not changed since they didnt announce it already
thank you very much for the info
Should just be able to afk corp with water mage though right?
Would be a good question
should be fine unless corp really hates you and stacks multiple max hits
How useful is grimoire compared to inf food?
might get unlucky with roll chance
core will kill you though if you afk
I’m fairly certain I’ll go 90% overheal
Even with thorns?
i guess thorn does oneshot core
I’ve never gone wildy or mage build but this leagues seems like it’ll be super fun for both
For the relic today, is it just for hard food or potions as well?
you still have to hit, are you going to fight corp beast in max mage gear?
only hard food
Okay bet
Not sure yet, but probably. Also thinking about dabbling with earth to tear down defense
Also taking kandarin so will have thermy offhand
accursed sceptre or ayak spec can be used on corp to make mage hit better
That’s capped at 15% right? Is there a cap on earth pact?
no cap on corp for earth pact. things like toa bosses have personal reduction caps
Whos got a good mage build i can peek at to get ideas
Im thinking of going blindbag but debating between mage too
I think this is tentatively mine
Plan what you will choose in Leagues VI using our Demonic Pacts tree.
But I also am going wildy for malediction ward and arcane shield
Im probably going kourend tirra mory
That staff is gonna be broken with a mage build tbh
I’m an unc
Which one? Mory staff? Seems meh to me compared to thermy staff
Thermy staff
what are some of the interesting mage builds? im thinking of changing my entire plan to mage
Oh yeah
Powered staves are going to be incredibly strong but idk just doesnt have the same class fantasy for me the elements do.
Mory gives me tob for scythe for blindbag build if i go it nox hally ahrims if i go mage
you can get scythe from kourend too
The one I just linked would be: start earth, tear down defense. Go water to overheal, go fire to burn overheal , go back to water etc
unless theyre not doing the vouchers this year
they are
They are but then that requires me doing contracts
Me and that other guy permachill are huge hype on blue moon blindbag with undead grasp
dont go into the dark side!!!
How the turntables have kandarin'd
but i just know i would regret not doing mage with how interesting it is this year
Every single league I go Asg mory melee build. Not this time lol
well we can grab kandarin *** for our 3 rd region and always respec
What regions would you go for blindbag grum because i think mine would still be the same mory tira kand they have like the easiest linear demonic pact tasks with good gear
i was mory tir undecided until i decided to switch off to mage
i was thinking blind bag nox hali into water mage to heal
kandarin obvi good especially if you want to spec into mage
and piety
that too
Its so hard to not go kandarin if you want to go elemental mage focus, but not necessary at all if you do powered staves
plus with our crystal armor its gonna be good
Yeah but if you go blind bag wouldn’t it be better to spec into ranged off for the increased hally damage by proccing ranged echo
my biggest thing is if i did melee stuff i would want to be able to respec into a dogger+thorns build but then all i would have for endgame content is tob if i took asg for last region
yes but you dont have to spec that far into range
just the first 3
for echos
i can show you what im thinking
tbh if i get end game and im not having full ill just run another account
If i did a blindbag focused build i would try to use the fastest heavy weapon i could and not even worry about hally tree. I would spec hard into the melee ranged echo stuff and maybe even go down the spec tree and try to use a fast as fuck 1h and get the spec tree's str bonus too.
Tir kand has a nice tribrid build with Hally bowfa and 1t toxic trident
First 3 but theres also other spots that are decent near those 3 that increase the proc of ranged echos and then reproc it then to the left the everytime you hit with a weapon 3+ tiles away wouldn’t it enable a 25% hally swing on your next hit increased by 21 minimum damage since you should be 7 tiles away ?
But idk I just think the ranged hally stuff is giga overrated even with potential min hit buffs
see i like this but nox hali is my favorite weapon ever so im trying to build off it
should accuracy be just 100% or more than 100% better?
that was my exact reasoning too gray
we are one and the same
The more the better can use the wiki calc to get a feeling gor it
100% doubles your accuracy
im down to run kandarin try and mory
then if me and you dont like it ill alt with you and run it back
It's something to consider respeccing into late imo, or as a finishing touch after getting blindbag ranged echoes online first. It's going to take a long time to get it online because of the slayer and actual drop requirements plus all those points
how is powered staff with tir vs regular mage builds? is it comparable at all or is one better than the others
from what i heard powered staff benifits from the echo item moore
The problem is how do you get a powered staff
thats why we kandarin
Regular mage build jas a massive range
Healing
Extrem high defense
Lots of flat damage
Eye of ayak available for everyone... Just get the drop
So very hard to compare
yeah
But whats your build pre eye
Infinite prayer...
powered staves is just a one trick pny vs the wide variety of things from elemental casting
zulrah also just drops toxic trident, plus the warped thing ni K yea
Like 1 tick staves is disgustinh
If you take tirannwyn, probably toxic? Not sure.
And shadow will be incredible with just taking the magic strength % nodes
WAIT
he just drops full trident?
yea
WTF
check wiki
i dont need kandarin anymore
im just not wanting to full spec into mage just for it to be better for me to get to powered staves and take tir
Yeah. A lot of stuff that drips pieces just drops the whole thing. Another notable one for air mages is the bone crusher necklace dropping from hydra
o, i thought when you said that you meant the warped staff hah
Thats true for all of these items
yea if you were just going for trident you dont need to
i only need the powered staff for the early game
ah
yea i'll be doing TKW for mage, and the power staff part of it does probably lose purpose lategame
does taking kand not give you quick access to ibans or are the quests not autocompleted?
You have to update us if you get that blue moon stuff online before me
would you need tir and kand to get access to it at least
Ive never been so hype for a build compared to that blue moon one
we'll see! kinda up to luck there, and how slow I am going about things hah
rofl yea
i was thinking of just 5 to 1 CG with the 1 tick powered staff into full crystal kill zulrah into trident into the mid game
XD
that'd work too
i'm probably going for similar? but into thamm scepter, and just melt all of the wildy, pick up the shadowflame and move on with using air surge or smoke barrage
i mean would asgar be a better first region?
Tribrid in 1 attack?
i tried last league but it didn't have quite enough support from the masteries
Yep with undead grasp hitting for 36s with the rune amp and 50% chance of those instant melee hits into ranged echoes
i guess it would probably be better to wait untill i have larceny fo try
A few of us saw the potential independently
100% melee, it has a buff spell
I also made air ballista that day
But that didnt stick yet with the public
Neef to push that one more
Yeah we were all cooking similar meals lol. I stared at that tree for like 12 hours.
is there any way that the nox hali build works without blind bag?
The main problem is
Its therefore 1 mellee attack every 6 ticks
uhh, blind bag would be a pretty chunky portion of the damage
you can't use thorns w/ it, so i guess you could just use it as a hybrid option?
i guess you cant spec into thorns
blindbag/ranged echos just kinda mix into 2h melee
yeah
i guess i have options to respec with try, asgar, and mory
even the dagger thorns too
yea, easy melee options
ight perma you convinced me
i did what now, don't blame me!
I still think it will be strong and fun for mid late before I respec into full elemental mage later
It's a fun way to gamble
first build is asgar into try into mory early game carried on 1 tick powered staff into nox hali blindbag unless dagger thorns is just sooooo much better
yea, it's more of just something to mess around with and have fun before gearing up
i would like to attack bloat from behind the pillar
hah
XD
Theres going to be so many good memes from all this wacky bs
if any of yall end in mory lemme know we can raid
i'll be in mory on melee guy
idk if i'll actualyl get 3 scythes, but trying for the potential is a must
dont worry ill grind the 3 scythes with you
im trying to wrap my head around how the new relic can even compete with culling spree
3 scythes wouldnt be that difficult, but need 2 different kits
its either culling or grim for me
"slayer solve or infinite healing when healing is easy to get with pacts"
grimoire is justifiable if u dont got desert
but infinite food is not
if you're melee or range (and not going wildy or zeah) and are mostly donig raids(so not on task on important content)
then culling spree is probably going to be less useful
is piety worth taking grim over culling spree
it has cases wehre it's worth it
maybe? i think it's like 10% improvement over just using the little prayer
infinite healing at the cost of attack damage. Only door build gets low dps loss healing from it
its gonna be nice for the DT2 boss grinds if we can get them on task
culling spree is the only slayer solve doe/makes slayer more bearable
and i really dislike slayer
so thats why im taking it
fair enough, i'll be going both that and grim
depends on what else you need/want
on melee I want piety and dont really need anything else
Slayer doesn’t need a solve bro just hit things
im either reloading on natures accord or soul harvest
on mage i need ancients, and am doing wildy so culling spree is huge for keys
Saying you don’t like slayer means you like skilling not bossing
eeeeh
i just did enough slayer to unlock moons of peril
and i never wish to do slayer again
it was so boring
kandarin would like a word
Almost every slayer mob is a boss that statement stands through and through lol
mage is also kandarin so yea getting that slay level up faster is nice
at that level, all i did was kill regular mobs
i dont have a herblore solve
Yeah which is probably why you dislike it you haven’t actually done it properly
I think at some point in the mid-game, mage is gonna be on a tree with 90% prayer pen just grindnig echo hunlef and demonic gorillas for a few days -_-
lol
Slayer levels will go through the roof in league imo it doesn’t need a solve just grind a bit
Especially since the slayer relic doesn’t actually boost anything other than qol you gain no bonus xp you just gain variety over being forced into killing a bad task here and there
yoo anyone know if Devil's element count as a shield for thorns or no
it does not
damnn
i mean with tryw we dont neeed torva
yea, and if you really want a melee set, going mory anyway gets you tank gear if nothing else
you lose dogger, max treads, and easy BB fill through godswords dropping it though
just something to keep in mind is those 5 weapons you'll be grinding to sit in inventory lookin pretty
varl itself counts as probably one of the best first region picks
dude i think its just asgar
i may end up deciding on it again XD
i'm sort of stuck at MT+? right now
and if nothing really draws me in i'll probably just decide on asg again
and use my first respec just to do whisper
lol
https://www.osrsleaguescountdown.io/?share=1DxFJAgECAtTASYQA-TwREgM
Im not sure what to do... I want to do a Cbow heavy hitting blindbag build using the KBD Crossbow but Im not entirely sure what areas to go with, Im choosing Desert for the Raid and Wildy for the crossbow but Im not sure about the third pick, dunno if Asg is the right pick and I dont plan to pick Kand cause yea no Im not dealing with BA
i mean you can take try as first region if you comfy with cg
yea
