quite some dps from the tanky build comes from the thorns, wich the dps calc doesnt show tho

if it could overheal it would be the best thing for the player who doesnt go deep enough into the league to unlock all regions or anything and just picks up a cool regen enabling weapon and dips, which is at least a niche. but water spells are too good at regenning for an endgamer to not pick them for that niche

zuk is gonna be a cakewalk for everyone. inferno scales horrible in its ability to kill you when you have dps and healing

This one is also cooking, it drops 10 defense levels but it picks up the important range nodes, the shield node at top center, an overheal node, the “spend overheal for damage”, and the prayer bonus converts to str bonus
unlike colo which can still stack you out quite well

you can spec with anything, and you get a pretty large number of specs. keep in mind that both hits you do per atack regen 2% spec each
so its effectively 2% spec per tick while using it

i mean, i wont even be considering mage or melee at this point, the crossbow is looking way too strong
if u wanna fuel another melee spec weapon its a great way to do so and get passable dps in that time

ye, just feels a little lackluster when you're comparing the fire proc (5% maxhit 10, no regen bonus) to the range echoes every 2h melee can get (20% scales with melee stats)
I doubt the calc can apply the fire pact buffs correctly. I mean with fire pacts it's a splash weapon with spec spam to splash harder.

i think of it more as a vessel for other specs
it just happens to be the fastest attacking melee weapon which has enough bonuses to still do usable damage

from what's been said: maxhit split between 2 hits, second hit scales with ranged damage, but counts as a spell for the purposes of water nodes, which will also scale the damage for that hit based on life%
kigns crossbow is a ranged-mage attack so it scales off your ranged but the enemy takes it as mage
calculates max hit once with crossbow effects, splits max hit into 2 attacks 50/50 and turns 2nd into ice barrage with no further damage buffs from mage but can still heal from water mage tree
and the other bit is just a regular old ranged attack
so it's split, but second hit should actually hit harder?

You get 3 respecs. Start with something simple and strong early to clear content, and after the 20ish point mark you could easily respec towards a more complicated build you'd want to main, and then you have 2 more shots after that.
Minion is going to be bonkers with some of these builds

King's Barrage is 5 ticks on rapid. The second bolt will benefit from water pacts if you have the pact that make ice spells count as water spells. It also does full damage to corp like the Khopesh did.

I'm pretty sure every skill's covered, maybe some are a little slower that they could be, but I don't know if changing relics to cover those skills is a time save or time loss because of my inexperience with leagues

they only just recently confirmed how the double hit mechanic works
so it seems kbd crossbow is wholely dependant on whether both hits count individually for echo + what echoes can hit i.e do thave a built in damage cap or can echoes hit the same as what ur normal maxhit is

Echos last season wernt capped and followed your equipments benefits would be wierd if its not the same this year

And since in the melee tree thier is a perk to echo shot range that specifies its treated as if you had crossbow bow and knife equiped it would be wierd if it didnt max it like a crossbow

I was thinking 20% ish buff over the original 50 dps, but it's actually a bit lower. I still get 56dps though
150% regen x 35% + 15% echos becomes an average of around 1 echo per hit (67.5% chance of the first, plus chance at others) plus never mind I'm an idiot because the crossbow echo hits don't max do they?

They're 3.6kg so "heavy", 2h, and 4t, so they'll proc blindbag and accessible much sooner than Nally. Also, I wonder if since there are 2 hit splats it might have 2 chances to proc blindbag

you've got 4 regions worth of gear, could swap kourend out for fremm, keep the necklace/ring, put boots to echo boots (loses 1 prayer bonus) and pants to w/e
really might just wind up picking kourend just to get familiar with cox since my two primary regions solve my pacts

Only takes 9 pts to get online, once you get the +15% chance to proc ranged echoes added to your melee echoes youre probably cruising for a while. Plenty of other strong low pt options too. Try to play with what you can get for around 9-10 pts

Its 3.5x xp 25 dragon bones assuming inven is not empty X 3.5 x 5 for starting leagues xp rates is 31.5K prayer xp which btw chaos temple has the 50% rate for not consuming a bone which means that 1 inven of 25 for 31.5 could easily turn into 50k pray xp on base leagues rates. Therefore unless ur trying to go for beyond 77 prayer u wont need relic for the prayer shards

I’ve been considering either a lot of builds lol, bows seem meh but bowfa would be nice on a mage crystal build.
Crossbows are good but for highest dps kandarin and wildy are both wanted, possibly swapping wildy for asg and eating the downgrade and just using onyx bolts to heal but that unlocks the option for zeah which unlocks the need to forgo grim.
Thrown is okay, strong early and somewhere in the 23dps, and good aoe, strong with thorns since melee gear can be used.
Mage seems strongest when used in kandarin for air spells, water is good for healing.
Powered staves are good, little investment to make strong in points and regions since you start with Ayak and conflictions, still probably want zeah for prayers.
Melee seems to have one mega build that can be split. Blindbag hally seems HYPER rng but possible highest damage in the game.

For powered staves you def dont need zeah for prayers. Augury is quite a small upgrade
