We are pretty tight with our bump schedule amongst our team, so we haven't been able to do the positive testimonals, but I think it's cool.

2h bump timer is much better, as far as testimonials go I dont think they really matter because they'll just be invisible to people looking for a clan due to the number of regular bumps. People won't scroll through 100s of bumps just to find some testimonials, they'll just look at the first message and then decide if it interests them or not

I also noticed that the clan advert board did result in more recruits, but maybe people looking for a clan just need to adjust and look at the right clan categories now

I'd say your best luck would be to look for a social clan. They typically have fewer restrictions. Most clans will have a low set total level requirement just to help weed out those who aren't as serious about the game or who alt stack. But, I would say I've definitely seen clans who are very welcoming to brand new players.

The best part about being a clan owner is that at any point in time, if someone isn’t meshing with your community, you can remove them or give them a time-out. It’s always YOUR decision, and you have to do what works best for you. That’s something people just don’t understand nowadays. 💖

I will say we’ve had numerous “outbreaks” in our clan/community in the past, and we’ve had to do time-outs and/or bans due to it. Sometimes they come back and apologize for their behavior due to an off day, sometimes they don’t. Kinda just depends on the person!

We do strike systems in EG, because I'm a big believer in people make mistakes sometimes and can grow from them. Also, some people just have really bad days/weeks and need some kindness rather than someone booting them immediately. I think you're on the right path with realizing that being a clan owner goes a little deeper at times than just kick and remove because of one moment.

Time outs would be a great system to put into place, as sometimes that can even be enough to help people reflect and realize their behavior too.
